A "believable" narrow gauge worktrain ! And what a scenery ! Perfect camera work too.
Glad you enjoyed it
With the sound this is so realistic....
Thankyou so much
@@GWilliamsonModelsand so much better than tinny DCC loco only sound. You’ve I spired me to do an NG7 layout..with recorded sound…
Loved model trains when I was a teenager, even owned few Piko trains, but never had patience nor skills (money too) to build something like this. Twenty years later I still enjoy watching this, but found different hobbies.
I think my biggest advice would be to not let money get in the way. I really am on the bottom end, haven’t had a job since I was hospitalised with covid in 2020. The biggest thing for me way to buy the Bachmann ‘Peter sam’ for the chassis, and that was done on a three month pay back. A lot of the scenic materials are naturally collected, and the foam is reused from a local house rebuild (usually loads in the skip outside..just ask nicely!)
If you did wan to give something a go, why not just make a small diorama that fits on a shelf? No power, but will give you the opportunity to try scenic work?
This was a great series, excellent work beautifully observed modelling, it captures the mood and the feel of a working industrial line.
Brilliant, glad to know that it comes across on the videos. The next series will be concentrating on passengers, so a different vibe!
A wonderfully atmospheric model, giving me the push I need to start a small model based on Snailbeach in Shropshire. Thank you
@@philiplockwood269 Snailbeach is on my wish list aswell, such an interesting line,
Christ alive man, ive just sat here and binged your entire uploads. Absolutely brilliant, modelling i can only dream of achieving and a good laugh along the way. Its given me some propper inspiration for a new layout. Looking forward to more
Love to hear that, I hope you continue to enjoy the videos!
Remarkable work. Thank you for sharing every step of the way. I look forward to the next project.
Thankyou very much, I hope you enjoy it!
Extraordinaire végétation !!! Super ambiance,bravo.Tchuss,pierro 😊
Cheers!
Lovely finished product, what a great series to have seen start to finish
Hopefully you’ve picked up a tip or two along the way, new series starts next Friday!
Every now and then you stumble onto perfection.
Thankyou so much, I hope you enjoy the next build!
This a really lovely video which captures well the Corris.
I’m glad you think so, John
Stunning . No other word for it. Your attention to detail and the whole atmosphere of a narrow gauge railway is fantastic .Well done
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoy the videos, next series kicks off this friday
Looking absolutely brilliant a lot of hard work looks so realistic
Glad you’ve enjoyed it, have you just discovered it, or have you watched the series?
Yes just seen it will finding them and watch them
@@ianhughes-zf1ll I hope you enjoy them!
Absolutely superb little layout, loved the accompanying sound track.
John
Good to hear, John. Hopefully you’ll enjoy the next build just as much
Top to bottom, a stellar series. Can't wait for what comes next, especially for what little stories emerge
Thanks mate, I hope you enjoy the next one!
Beautiful layout and stunning scenery, captures the feel perfectly
Thankyou so much
Wow this is great! Very realistic scenery. My favourite bit is the river and the bridge!
Thanks, yes I quite like the bridge, though the River could have been better, it was my first go at resin pouring, but I’ve learnt for next time
A stunning little layout. You have captured the spirit of the Corris beautifully. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching this build.
Thankyou, that’s always a big thing - capturing the atmosphere of the prototype, especially in narrow gauge
I think I probably say it every week but . . . Fantastic layout George 👍 Missed your entertaining "voice-over" but a cracking video nonetheless 😊. Really looking forward to seeing what you've got in store for us next week.
Thanks mate, yeah with the exhibition at the weekend and a little holiday in Tywyn, I didn’t have time for a voiceover, but I think it works just having the sounds of Tr no4 over the top, quite peaceful. I’ll be back on it next week with the start of the next series
Awesome, great work
Thanks! Been a quick build, but I think it gets my idea across
Superb George!
Noel
Thanks Noel :)
That opening shot! Wow!
Thanks! I think that was favourite aswell
Totally fantastic. I'm in there with it.
It’s makes a nice shot to get the camera down on the layout
Fabulous, very inspiring 🥳👍
So glad you’re enjoying them!
My friend, that is amazing! Such a charming little railway and quarry!
Thankyou so much, see you on the next series!
@@GWilliamsonModelsSure my friend!
Absolutely amazing
Thankyou, yeah I was pretty happy with out it turned out
Very, very nice layout. I love it
Glad you enjoyed it, I’m about to start the next layout, so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss the progress!
I have enjoyed this series, you have inspired me to have a go myself, as it is a small layout I think I can find room for a similar project. Nice showcase video to end, very good and thank you.
That’s brilliant, keep me updated with how you get on
Wonderfully done and a great finale.
Thankyou!
Brilliant layout and found the build series both interesting and helpful, picking up a lot of tips. It was great to see you and the layout last weekend, really looking forward to the new series.
Great to hear that you’ve picked up tips, the next build will feature new and different techniques
Top notch! Love the layout and editing / sounds. Cheers
Good to hear, I did find this one quite relaxing to watch back!
A great series and fun to watch - thank you! p.s. love the rust staining on the slate fence 👍🏻
Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy the next series aswell!
looking forward to the next build
The reveal and layout plan will be shown next friday
Completely brilliant. It's like an HD Mouldy Raspberry layout. Have you considered taking the layout outside for some shots in natural light with a real sky backscene?
Thankyou Luke, that’s a nice idea - I might do that for some photos
That will make a massive difference.
@@vikingofengland I agree, I did it with the skarloey diorama, not sure why I haven’t don’t it with this one yet!
Very nice indeed, great work and a lovely video.
Thankyou so much for watching
Brilliant 👍
Thankyou David
Superb George. Worth putting up with your jokes for 😂
😂 is it really that good? 😅
@@GWilliamsonModels well. Now I come to think of it.....
@@gs425 doesn’t matter, you can’t leave now, you’re in too deep 😈
Very very beautiful layout hope to see you model the Talyllyn one day in OO9 scale
Thanks, I’m sure you will
Are you thinking of making a new loco? Because there this very interesting loco called Bebbgelert on Shapeways. It has a longer 0-6-4 wheel base and of course 009 gauge. It would be a nice change from the basic 0-4-0 or 0-4-2 that the narrow gauge usually do but it just a thought
The project starting this Friday will contain a minimum of two loco builds, but I’m going to say it’ll be more like 5/6 by the time the layouts complete..
I know the loco, and the prototype is also on the ‘to do’ list 😅
Thanks for even mentioning it lol
When Bachmann releases Sir Handel will you turn him into a Corris Falcon or Sir Haydn?
I will indeed, not long now!
What do you use to power the track?
I just use a basic gaugemaster combi DC controller, in fact I’ll be using the same one for any DC layouts that I make
