I actually got another one from a junkyard. If your local junkyards don't have somewhat intact dashs, I'm sure you can get one through ebay or local marketplace.
That's what I used. Either way, you can still get a double din stereo to fit provided the depth isn't too long. Amazon also has some android capable stereos that are way slimmer which is what I switched to.
@amgeezy_2709 if you're referring to the bezel, yes. I got it from a junkyard. I kept the original one in case I got rod of the truck or put the original stereo back in.
Hey I bought the same radio inspired by this video and have a 1992 S10. I’m not sure of how to splice the wires into each other as the S10 has 4 harnesses and the boss has 1. Did you buy and adapter or do it yourself? Be great if you could respond as my dash is disassembled, have a blessed day
frankrizzo442 you mind linking me to that or putting the link in the description so other people like me that have this question can have a quick answer?
You are amazing. I did not think a double Din could be made to fit. I have a 1987 S10 Blazer Tahoe 4X4 w/62K original miles. What state are you in? I am in Tn. Do you want to sell your spare bezel?
@@frankrizzo442 Hi Frank, I guess I need to find a mint face (I want to do what you did and not ruin the original face plate).. I have a 1987 S-10 Blazer 4X4. Got it reciently got it. It was from an estate sale. Only 62K senior citizen garage kept miles. I already had to change the blown speakers. I am wanting to put in a short chasis Alpine ILX-W650. I know I am going to have a big job doing this. I am wanting to really do a perfect job body working it and making it look factory without using a kit. The interior on mine looks like it was never sat in and under the hood it looks like it was never driven. Only thing that bothers me is the 2.8V6 is a slug. I think it is slower than some riding mowers.
No amp, but I did run a remote wire from the battery to my switch for the backup camera. On the driver's side firewall, there's a spot where you can run the cable through. Just stick a long screwdriver through it and look underneath your dash to see where it sticks out from. Hope that helps.
If you're referring to the double din kit, I bought mine at walmart, but I'm sure you can find it online for your specific year. Mine was the Scosche 7009 double din kit.
I'm not sure on dimensions but it's a typical double din stereo from Amazon. I since updated to an android stereo which is way shallower. Check out my videos. I have a video showing it off.
It's in the description. I've since upgraded to an android stereo from Amazon. It's way shallower and much better fit. Check my videos. I have it on my channel showing off the new stereo.
I got a 92 I can't believe you got that in there 👍
Use house door wether strip so it would make a cleaner look
Could I ask you where I bought the bezel, which apparently is generic? in which store?

What size was that double din radio
Man that looks good
Thanks Kenny! I just used a dremel to inch away at away and used the double din kit from walmart to fill in the edge gaps.
Does it Kenny? 🤣🤣
That kit you said it was doesn’t have those pieces. The kit you suggested is a single din kit and those pieces are clearly for a double din

What about the factory replacement piece that you cut ? What is that?
Is it just another factory one?

Hey Frank, can you make a drum video of Your Skull is Red by Team Sleep?
That's a badass jam. I'll add it to the list! Thanks.

hobbslee23 yeah I bought a harness for my truck and it makes it easy to hookup to the stereo harness.

@@hobbslee2336 Yeah man. I linked it in the description! Thanks!

Arlene Wolf hello. I’m in Texas. No I’m keeping it just in case I need it for another double din stereo that is sized differently.
