What was your favorite exercise of the top 3?? Chapters: 0:00 - Intro 0:45 - Working with intervals 3:51 - Targeting fingers 4 & 5 6:50 - Chord progressions 12:04 - Review
Second exercise is heavy on my 4th & 5th fingers... excellent too... thanks so much for sharing. . Hope all these will improve my left hand playing very fast. .
Lisa, finding your tutorials on this channel inspired me to get back into piano! I've been doing your warmup drills for a couple weeks and I get excited when I see you post something new to work on! I even pulled out my OLD OLD OLD beginner piano books to work on sight reading! As a beg/int player who can follow a lead sheet fairly well, your tutorials on jazzing up the left hand are GOLD. Thank you and Pianote for all the free tips and tricks! Cheers!
As a mature beginner, I truly appreciate your teaching and your personality. I have learned quite a lot from you, and I know others will also . Thank You and bless you.
You are such a fantastic teacher. You have taught me more in 2 videos than I have learnt in the last year of random tutorials. You break it down so clearly and really simplify the process. And during all the exercises I can actually make lovely tunes. Thank you!
The amazing thing is that this morning when I sit on the piano I did the first exercise that you presented, I've never seen it anywhere, it came in my mind and I just did it!
I have performed on stage as a keyboardist before, yet I find that your tips and lessons are making my song-playing more and more comfortable! You are amazing! Keep up the good work 👏🏻👏🏻❤️
3 weeks ago I watched this, but am watching it again since it's hard to teach old chiens des trucs nouveax, n'est-ce pas? My favorite was your encouragement, which was so spontaneous but is really your charm.
You are the best piano teacher that I’ve seen. I wish you were my teacher. But I am not allowed to pay anything or for your pianote course :( Thank you for making the videos. It helps a lot 😄
I am a percussion (Indian tabla) player having attraction towards piano. I took few months to understand the keyboard. Now developing both hands. Thanks
I love the this video, I have the get started on piano, I can play a song in one day......you for taking the time an make these video's....love an respect Matthew.
Just fantastic ....another amazing tutorial upload, you always inspire to keep going .....it`s even more special at times like we are going through . Thank you so much .
Hi Lisa, I just had a go at these exercises, two hours flew by without realising! The last exercise is quite absorbing just moving round on different chords. Time flies!
I definitely need to practice this because I cut my ring finger of my right hand and it took a while to get the bleeding to stop and the throbbing to stop as well. So until it heals I will be strengthening my left hand.
Love your channel! My favorite was definitely the third, it was like I had jumped six steps without realizing it and suddenly could compose songs effortlessly!
The fourth and fifth finger share a tendon, if I’m not mistaken. Fun fact: if you learn to use your fingers separately by playing the piano, it massively helps with your typing skills too.
I really like the exercises because I can feel the work out and I can feel myself getting smoother and more relaxed when practicing this. Also loved when you said "bring your right hand to the party" It made it easier for me because I like to party :-)
Awesome. 3rd I kinda already do. But the first 2 I had to give these a try. I practice for hours every day in addition to my performance. I just play almost nonstop cuz I just enjoy piano all the time. Quite often I do improv in different genres. And it’s easy to think that cannot learn more. I’m 100% self-taught, so I know better than that. I watch others play, sometimes while I’m playing piano. It’s always cool to learn something new when least expected. Thx
I liked the last part where you inferred a little Canon progression. Some really good ideas for additions to my routine...and I am still a newbie at piano! I just ordered a vintage copy of Schaum Book A last week, so I am looking forward to what's in there as well. BTW, I've never been to your area, but my dad was born in New Westminster, and served in both the RCMP and RCAF, so maybe I'll get around to it some time. He is 101, and a former French Horn guy, and impressed that I came back to music again. So, maybe I have some genetic help in that corner. I'm only 14 months in and still working a full time job, but I play all the major scales every day at a minimum. Thanks!
Really helpful, well-rounded and oh so enjoyable lesson as always. Thanks ! Been playing halleluja thanks to your video, and just received my sustain pedal yesterday. Gosh it changes everything, that's amazing.
This is funny... Being left handed, I have plenty of strength in that hand. But try finding drills for your right hand! Lol! But thank you for the hard work and the videos that you put out. I think that you truly understand the challenges facing beginner piano players, both child and adult alike! Again... Thank you! Michael

I’m shaking my head. How is it even possible that one of the nicest personalities on RUclips can attract 9 down votes? It really just blows my mind.
It’s probably just bots or something, most likely to keep the likes and dislike ratio somewhat even :)
i find this channel very helpful for me, and you are a fun person, thank you
3 - sounds like magic 🖤🤍
Liza, you're an amazing teacher
Just fantastic ....another amazing tutorial upload, you always inspire to keep going .....it`s even more special at times like we are going through . Thank you so much .

Miss Anna Faris, you’re my favorite piano teacher. Thank you, as I really enjoy learning from you. 😊
