I have a pair, love them! I wasn’t sure if they would be too much volume for me but they work.

Took a month for these to arrive, but finally got them. I am happy with the fit, my heels and toes fill up the entire raised foot bed, with the tips of my toes going over the edge slightly. But this is how I like it. My issue with Birkenstocks has always been they're too damn long, I have to wear size 10 so the width is good, but then they just look so huge on my feet. I like that these seem to have a more trim appearance, although I did go with size 9 due to the wider toe box.
I need more time to break them in and really go on a long walk for a better overall impression, but out of the box, I'm liking them a lot.

All interesting feedback. Sounds like overall you like them though. I'm liking mine too!

Hey Josh, great video! Speaking of sandals, what's your opinion at first glance of the Malai Coconut Sandals by Ahinsa?

It looks like the Malai sandals are part of Ahinsa's "Comfort" line, which means they aren't "Barefoot," strictly speaking. For one, there is no heel strap securing the sandal to your foot, which is a barefoot no-no. Also, I did notice that they have a 4mm heel-to-toe drop (they aren't zero drop, which is another barefoot no-no). They may have arch support as well (another no-no), but I can't tell for sure.

Thanks for the review! SoftStar is an awesome brand with some very unique and high quality models. I was going to get a pair of these, but wasn't sure at first if they were "barefoot" enough with the stack height and the poron foam "squish"?

Personally, I definitely lean toward the thinnest most flexible soles, so I'm with you there. That said, there are certain times when going a little gentler/comfier has its merits. These provide an option for those occasions.
Same goes for my hiking shoes. I have a 4mm sole pair of hiking shoes, and I also have an 11mm pair of boots, and a couple in-between. Different thicknesses for different hiking environments. I'm thankful to have a variety to choose the right shoe for the right activity and environment.
That said, not every shoe I review is a fit for every person. I've reviewed plenty of other sandals that might fit your style better. Thanks so much for watching and stay tuned for more... :)

Would the flux shoes be better than the origo shoes
