Course Description: In this course, you will learn how to plan structure with respect to architectural planning and as per codal provisions of Indian Standard codes then you will learn how to use IS Codes to calculate the loads on the structure and modelling and analysis of building structure in computer software ETABS, and most importantly you will go through the design procedure of each type of structural element manually as well as with the help of MS Excel Sheets and at last how to detail your structural sections and preparation of drawings for Construction-Site Execution purpose.

Thanks a ton for your amazing work...
It's truly amazing & inspiring the work u have done ..
Sad to see gem like you have few subscribers & many dumbs touching millions.
May god bless u 🙏
dear thanks for appreciation!
happy learning!
Hey brother I have completed this excellent course of yourself and very satisfied by your work and effort..
I have observed 7.5 lecture were missing here in the playlist..please add those to playlist video of this series will help alot to everyone
there were mistakes so that those are deleted...
Amazing sir. Thank you so sharing knowledge. Plz make more like this.
welcome dear & thanks for suggestion...
It's very helpful thank you
welcome!
You are doing great job, keep going...!!!
Thank You ....
Thanks for the lectures very helpful for me
welcome ....
@@AkshayThakur sir do the lectures with commercial buildings
@@khansahab-wf3cf thanks for the suggestion ...
Did you consider *Affect of torsion on beam and *No reinforcement Layer in beam in EXCEL sheet ?
In practice, torsion is consider in very few cases like when beam is curved, cantilever beam supported on span of beam, cantilever slab supported when no back-tie slab, etc... here no such case so no torsion is considered while designing beams....
1. What about crank bar? If we provide vertical stirrups shouldn't we have to provide crank bars?
2. In case if we want to provide crank bars, how to find the starting distance and ending distance of a crank bar in a beam?
follow IS Code for different respective design... refer some RCC Books for such designs...
Is is right way to take the etab result. Like you took Mu1 max for other load combination and mu2 for other load combination. And Vu for other.
Why don't we took Maximum of Vu and take the corresponding values of rest 2. Even if they are not max.
Why arw we taking maximum of each. There is no load combination that is causing maximum of all 3 together.
see for considering all load combinations ulimate condition i have use in this...
@@AkshayThakur understood sir.
could you please elaborate why you neglected checks for torsion..??
beam will have torsion in only few conditions when cantilevers rest on beams, slabs with no back-tie slab, etc. here we won't have such case so....
Sir how does no of Reinforcement LAYER affect beam design ?
when the number of layers are increased then the effective depth is reduced and so on moment carrying capacity is also reduced because lever arm is get reduced....
Sir
How does torsion affect beam design ?
it will increase demand for shear and moment and so extra reinforcement are need than regular one...
For negative moment (hogging) = 234 knm. My reinforcement is 10 # 20mm bars. How would I arrange 10 bars. Is it ok that my no. Of bars are coming 10
no this is not acceptable for regular size beam, spacing in between bars should be more than nominal size coarse aggregate... in that case increase the beam dimensions or go for higher grades in material for concrete and/steel...
@@AkshayThakur my beam size is 400×500mm
how you can arrange 10 bars in 400 mm, with proper nominal CA distance in between bars, so you need to change the section size & or material properties
@@AkshayThakur can we provide it in in two layers. 🤔
@@harishjoshi1139 yes you can but some additional steps in design methodolovy are needed for this...
Sir, in actual practice dont we have to design the beam as a continuous beam and not as a simply supported beam
Also is it necessary to first design from tension side..as you've taken Ast for shear reinforcement from tension side..what if we first design from compression side..will that make any difference in calculation of stirrups
here if you see, i have provided main bars throughout, and extra top bars are also provided, so as per software consider continuity for those effects are taken into account as a continuous beam...
the more economical way of doing is.... take the BM at near Support (Top End Region) and Design for the same...
stirrups are individual w.r.t. top support r/f
the design made in a way that
Bottom r/f : Positive BM
Top/Support r/f : Negative BM
Stirrups : Shear Force
where are the videos for designing slabs?
initially it was uploaded but therein one mistake so i take down those videos...
hello sir, can u please provide shear wall detailling for torsion irregularity building?
dear, thanks for the suggestion...
Hello sir your course is so amazing and very helpful but sir can you please provide slab design meana 7.5 A and B please help if you can thank you
In course there was initially 2 videos of 7.5 A & B, but there was one mistake in that so, i take down those videos... if possible i'll create new videos...
@@AkshayThakur yes please i have completed everything just needed to leanr about slab so asked please provide as soon as possible or atleast provide that i just want to check how to take slab values and input in excel
Thank you
dear, my suggestion is please go through codes and some standard books and then prepare excel sheet by yourself, that makes the strong command over the concept... which will ultimately help you....
@@AkshayThakur yes i know that just here i am confused about taking value of Mu and all ..
Sir can you atleast provide your hand written notes thorugh email please?
