I love flat crank engines always have..... that hysterical fart of many other AMG 's has always left me cold and I never enjoyed it. Not sure about the extremely hot v in this profile tune given its cooling needs... in later life.

The pull out front splitter is just awesome and a first for a 'mass produced' supercar. That rear wing is surely one of the maddest rear wings ever put on a road car by a manufacturer - what an insane creation! Nice to see the 'informal' walk around explaining the aero, thats something that enthusiasts love - getting up close and personal with the details on the car in a way most car reviews don't. A welcome addition to the Black Series family... well done AMG!!
They screwed up the sound though. Which was the main reason to get a Mercedes V8 powered car to begin with. If you want a track car with big wings a GT3 RS will be better. Personally I'd just look for the AMG GT R version. Fast enough and sounds approximately 3,174 times better than this.

@@omarsabir3272 All this AMG GT Black Series needs is a aftermarket exhaust system and I would put 19x10.5(instead of 19x10) and 20x12.5(instead of 20×12) with stock tire sizes(for better steering responsiveness, more tyre to road contact, being that the tires are 10mm(.4inches) wider and I appreciate the amount of sidewall front and rear, something I am worried the Corvette C8 Z06 will be missing) and that in it's self is vary impressive.

This Mercedes did a 6:40 Nurburgring Time in testing, albeit un official for now, but it did it. Making it the fastest production car there & it's front engine / rear drive. ALSO it beat the Porsche GT2RS on Hockenheim-gp few days ago running a 1:43! 🏆🥇

Part of me just wishes they sacrificed a bit of power and stuck with the cross plane crank. I'd rather 650-680hp with the sound of the GTR pro than the 730 here and this sound. I'm sure it sounds better in the flesh and I suppose the mindset is performance comes first, but it just leaves you feeling like somethings a bit off imo.
Everyone complaining about the cars sound needs to realize that the car comes equipped with a particulate filter and if removed, it will sound much better. Most here in the states hear “flat plane crank front engine” and think shelby.. well guys I have to say, we were spoiled by that cars sound. This probably won’t live up to that legendary howl.

The sound of each car is reproduced by a microphone placed next to the engine block. It might be fed back through the speakers but there's something real about it. And everyone knows that with a proper exhaust it would shatter all the windows nearby
Say thanks to the EU and their silly emissions regulations with all the OPF filters and choked up engines because of carbon dioxide restrictions. I'm happy it makes any sound...
The firing order they picked is quite weird, different to McLaren's and Ferrari's and does sound like 2 4 pot engines that aren't harmonically balanced. Those who like 4 pot sound may like it, but I rarely like 4 cylinder sounds unless it's VTEC or with velocity stacks so this Black Series doesn't do it for me. Also it looks tacky and messy

So, let me just start by really appreciate the fact that you guys produce these wonderful videos and show us these great new cars that are coming out. But I do have to say that you guys need to really work on the way that you film the videos. I'm not saying this in any kind of a mean way. This is just healthy criticism. You do need to start using more tools to make these videos better. Such as when you were doing the walk around it wouldn't hurt to use a GoPro on a gimbal to give it a smooth classy feel to it. A lot of other video bloggers seem to have figured this out. Heck I figured it out with my Jeep videos when I go 4 wheeling and I have a gimbal for my GoPro to walk next to and film the Jeep climbing the rocks and showing the articulation of the wheels and the suspension. I'm curious why you don't do that for your videos? I can't tell if it's just matt prior performing Double duty or if it's matt prior and a crew, but If it is Matt and a crew this could easily have Matt standing outside the car doing talking points and having another guy film with a gimbal. I'd love to see more of these videos but also love to see you guys step your game up and do this with a little more Panache.
An angled radiator doesn't allow it to be bigger. It improves efficiency, most likely allowing to be smaller and provided greater effect. With less of a weight penalty.

The front end looks very similar to a Viper. Having said that the Viper is a way better looking car. This benz is too busy. For some reason the GT - R or thr Pro look so much better. The rear spoiler is ridiculous IMO.

What you hear from the cockpit is a the engine sound thru speakers! AMG can't be proud of that awful sound! If it passes you in 200km/h you will mostley hear tire and wind noise ore than the engine, it's that bad!

@Amarjit Singh they won't officially release it. They have no history on the ring. You remember the p1 where they said 'ofcourse we beat 7 mins' but never released it. It will be the same thing. If I had to guess that's probably because the ring isn't a perfectly smooth track and a car like the senna wouldn't make it. And even more extreme example is an F1 car won't be able to make it around the ring even though we all know they are the fastest cars there are.

Chevy can say all they want about C7 set up reaching max potential.... the main reason is they are trying to push the Corvette into another category of price and class..... doesn't necessarily mean old C7 set up didnt work because it worked quite well. But at this price point no one with serious dough is going to spend big money on a pushrod V8 and a regular slushbox transmission cross shopping Ferraris and lambos. That was the demise of the Gen 5 Viper. The ACR crushed almost everything on the race track.

Sorry but it sounds terrible. You should listen to how the GT350R sounds, has the same engine concept. The sound for me kills the car

I hate that fake bullshit Playstation interior sound. That said: I know the Pro is quite the thing. I bet this is wonderful. It just need a coder to remove that horrible fake sound, and a decent exhaust.
