It great to see Ferrari have paid homage to the ever so beautiful Ferrari 365GTB/4 Daytona while the styling is very ultra modern the front end looks gorgeous the blended glass roof looks so 21st century the rear is gorgeous too I love ever aspect of this car I only wish I could buy one if I could I would take one in black . 12:16
It so rare to see Ferrari with any link to their front fascia design from one model to the next. They've never held on to any recognisable visual identity. So it's somewhat unsual that there's somewhat of a homage in the front headlight bar design.
Yup, and the 812 competizione is much sexier and more aggressive looking and louder but can't be found for under 1.2 million dollars here in the USA currently.. Wonder if Ferrari will make something similar to a gto version of this car and if so what will it look and sound like.. And how much power will it have.?🧐🤔🤔🤔🤔
This is a very pretty car but they should have just called it "Ferrari Daytona GTB" or similar. Also interesting how they have reduced engine sound to meet new noise regulations but the media has been saying "Last 12 cylinder" for over decade
Looks way better on video than the press shots, actually like it but would defo vinyl wrap the black parts of the boot and aero flaps. Look naff to my eyes in black
You drove the car so slowly and then concluded you liked it much better than an 812. How so? It seems much quieter and almost a German sedan to just cruise in. Is that the spirit of a Ferrari V12?
Nice car …but I wouldn’t spend 400k plus on it (ridiculous pricing). It’s a fast grand tourer … okay. But doesn’t seem to put a laughter or even a big smile on the testers face…and that is what I definitely would and do expect from an expensive sports car! So, unfortunately Ferrari failed in that regard!
I think it's depending on the skill and capacity of the driver, to cruise around in GT mode is one thing and have it in Race mode and drive it hard, then it' just another beast! He drove it very soft in GT mode whit in speed limits, that's why you watch when someone can drive it like Chris Harris with smoking tyres, so this is not representable driving for the car's capacity!
@@Fred-ck1gh sure the car has more „capacity“ than what is shown in the video. Nevertheless the car as a whole hasn’t the „rawness“ and the looks to make an experienced driver (who has driven a bunch of interesting and emotional cars) laugh because of the - positive - craziness of this 12 Cylindri …but MAYBE that’s just me 🤷🏻
@@richardlabeja of course this, a design masterpiece. 812 is italian corvette design. Lot of people here are really off...but what could you expect from this generation..uninformaed, bad tasted.
Another absolute masterpiece of a GT car by Ferrari. This brand is on a different level. The style of the entire car is superb. Flavio Manzoni is just a design genious!
Good to see Ferrari have worked on the chassis to make it more “lightweight” as the Italian gentleman explained. If Ferrari calls 1.7 tonnes “lightweight” then so be it.
I hope it looks MUCH better in person than in this video. The Daytona's front end was a compromise and not the designer's original goal--please keep in mind that the blank panel was in response to US regulations. Why adapt a compromised styling feature? If, according to this presenter, Ferrari thinks the "sci fi" era of styling was the best, then why are the most desirable models (according to auction prices) from the era that just preceded the Daytona--250 GT SWB, 250 GTO, 250 GT Lusso, 250 LM, 275 GTB (that sells for over 3x the price of a Daytona).
It says Daytona to me immediately and I love it. ❤ now we just need a much cheaper front mid engine car which handles from another manufacturer NA without all the bloatware.. 😂❤ 300bhp will be nice, 4 cylinder euro 6 spec, ✅
The baby's diarrhoea yellow is horrible and not a big fan of the black stripe across the front. Not quite as bad as the body colour front grille with holes on the Roma, which looks like a drain cover. It seems quite noisy for a grand tourer but maybe Matt has the exhaust on sport setting and his microphone is picking the noise up louder than it is to ears. I think it will be better when Ferrari go to a smaller engine, still hopefully a V12 but with a pair of turbos to boost low end and mid range torque. Having had Porsche 911 Turbos for many years, I really like that shove in the back at 3000 RPM.
The best thing about this new Ferrari is that I how it makes previous cars like the 812 cheaper to buy now . Personally Ferrari created a stunning love child in the 812 super fast , they’ve then gone to make it a younger sister and ended up with a fugly woke sibling
This new GT Ferrari looks stunning. I love it, but the soundtrack, based on this video, is rather disappointing. They’ve cut the V12’s vocal chords. 😩 Even the Revuelto which is no match to the Aventador, sounds far better. Regulations are killing fine machinery 😡
Huge improvement over the unattractive 812 and tarts handbag Comp. Rear aero panels and panel between headlights need to be body colour. When ordering uncheck the tasteless carbon fibre box. Real buttons and knobs for heater controls please……and three pedals 😃
Wow, so many people who don't own a Ferrari saying this Ferrari is ugly. It's beautiful! Thank you Ferrari for bringing another stunning V12 to the market.
@keithjackson4985 people are quick to express hasty opinions & judgements, with the impression that others care, about things they know very little about. People are so unfortunately predictable. Me, me, me, I, I, I.
The width is becoming a major problem for London. Does Ferrari think about this? All the width restrictors for the bridges are 2m and some flyovers too. This is 2m, so I assume it just cannot take any of those roads.
It’ll sound much better in America where it won’t be equipped with the particulate filter. EU/UK cars are getting robbed of sound because of their laws. You can always remove those filters if you own the car in Europe, but I’m pretty sure it’s a huge fine if you get caught

I'm sure Ferrari could do better than making a 1700+kg 12 cylinder sportscar. 1500kg then I would be ok with it. With all the modern carbon fibre available this would be no problem but somehow they stick with their aluminium construction which isn't that light to be honest.

Bit of a boring film if im honest. I was looking forward to seeing this car and its Aero working, but instead we just got you talking.

Well, David Bache, designer of the SD1, confessed his inspiratio from the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona so it make sense :)
Love everything about it except maybe the most important thing-THE SOUND! it’s a V-12 Ferrari for goodness sake make it sound like one!!!
This car will be still fresh 30 years from now.

Only very expensive cars can get away with no electrification because they'll just add the 15k fine to the price
Who in the world needs electrification? And what on earth for? It’s ultra unecologic.
This car is made for pleasure, not for saving on gas.
Nah just make a light car with a fuel efficient engine like Miata
Its actually quite pretty, but it does look like the Italians have taken a rolling pin to a Kia EV6GT
Normally, this fella quite rightly rants against cabins that are haptic- / touchscreen-only.
But not today, not in this car.
