      @srinitaaigaura 4 года назад +12

      But look at the build quality of that car - every part is obsessed over. It doesn't look dated on the inside at all. I saw a full video of the Enzo by Doug Demuro and that car looked just cheap and crudely built compared to the F1, which still has better quality than anything else short of a Chiron - I'd say its flawless. Recently Mclaren refurnished a gray F1 and man, it looks gorgeous, especially the gold lined engine. Just pure engineering porn.

      There is no way a 993 would do 3.6, 4.4 is much more likely. Maybe the Ruf version would be close but even that would be a push. I think the only car of that era that could hold a torch even close to the F1 would be an XJ220. But even then still no real match and have a look at the difference in values on today’s markets.

      There is no general speed limit on german "Autobahn" . In the south of the city of Frankfurt is a "Autobahn" named A5 , where you can hold the top speed of this car around 10 minutes in the night or the early morning hours. After the 2nd world war the famous german driver Bernd Rosemeyer died here at a serious speed world- record attempt. Unexpected aerodynamic force lifted his car at nearly full speed , and he crashed into the forest beside the "Autobahn".

    I had the pleasure of a guided walk-around of an F1 when it was new and they had one in the showroom at Park Lane, London back in the 90's. In the hope of getting a close-up photo of it I walked in looking like a right scruff in that environment, sure they would show me the door instantly, and to my surprise and delight the staff there were exceptionally kind and let me look over the car for a good 10-15 minutes whilst they explained bits and pieces such as the reason for the gold linings in the engine bay. Really cool. They wouldn't let me sit in the car or even touch it, but nevertheless it was a fabulous and memorable experience. Many belated thanks to showroom staff there.

Imo it still looks contemporary - the years don't seem to have aged the design and the F1 still looks modern alongside its newer counterparts as seen in this video. I did some research and the F1 at the Park Lane showroom was car #65 and was also the last standard road car built. It sold in 2008 apparently with only 437km on the clock and went for £2,400 000. Jaguar got round the problem with the 'Lightweight 'E'' types by having them as a continuation of the early 1960s batch of cars. Same here, the P1 just seems like a monster and looks so much better than the Senna.

      F1 is much better road/fun car compared to P1 - witch was built just for the outright lap time.

      Nah , f1 the only one I'd have . It was designed from ground up to be the greatest drivers car ever . Which it was . Every mclaren mid engined twin turbo production car since has only been made to generate profit and to expand a brand , they have no soul , constantly break and are uninspiring .

    This is one of the best car film's made as far as I'm concerned.
    I have always been fascinated by the F1 and just by seeing the presenters face and his raw emotions when that mighty V12 starts to sing it's clear why it will always be the greatest car ever made.
    Well done to everyone who got these cars together in the same place,I'm sure it was a day to remember...

    In that company the Senna does look ugly. All great cars though. It will be interesting to put the T.50 against these.

    F1 is utterly, utterly magnificent, induction noise is incredible !
    I would love a go in the p1 just to experience the acceleration but the senna leaves me totally cold , Don’t know why , it’s like a lot of the modern HyperCars they just seem slightly soulless
