Am i the only one that feels sad after watching this?
Like an nostalgic feel of an era that will not be again. That i will probably never experience something like this, cause the cars will become more rare and not being used for what they was made for, stored away. And new cars made are boring without soul or feel.
I just pray that people owning these angels will take good care of them, and foremost use them as intended. For others to see and enjoy....

And with a 7th gear, it could have easily done over 250mph, the S70/2 still had plenty of power to keep pushing when the the gear box tops out. Just didn't make sense to add the extra weight and complexity when no one would realistically be going over 240mph, even on a track. They weren't even really trying to have the fastest top speed in the world, it was just a side effect of their overall goal.

TBF the Veyron took it's air brake from the McLaren F1 anyway. I think the reason why so many people don't like the Veyron as much as the F1 or other analogue is simply that it is too tame, you just get a long stretch of road & plant your foot... it even sounds dull. If they had striped out the interior & made it all it could be I imagine more people would respect it.

My dream car is the F40 so when the F1 came out I had to despise it. But honestly to this day the F1 is the greatest. It is so driveable (I have heard) despite being so fast. And no one else has made a super car that is center seated with a gold plated engine compartment. You can wear gold, but the owner of this car has better gold to show off.

Evan Moon I've driven an F40 and can categorically say that yes it's difficult to keep on boost on the road, yes the clutch is heavier than an elephants testicals, but it is absolutely the most amazing driving experience and the real daddy of all in the test, great cars that they are. When I drove the F40 on a track day at Brands hatch, then back home with my mate who owned it, I didn't stop grinning for a week afterwards. If someone told me I could own any supercar, including Veyron, Konigggggggssssseeeggggs, even an F1, I would take the F40.. No frills, no driver aids, a smear of paint, a sledgehammer gear change, and the smile of a champion gurner.. The end..

And yes, I absolutely love the huayra, veyron, P1, LaFerrari, the incredible 918, they are all magnificent, faster, more user friendly/easy to live with, they are all to die for... But the F1 is just cut from a different cloth, there's nothing like it, it's raw driving perfection and even with today's technology you couldn't match the design brief more perfectly.... Henry did a great job of narrating his feelings about each supercar, given the logistical constraints. He had probably less than 48 hours to share seven supercars with a whole editorial team and photographers, in which everyone had to have equal share of driving cars, writing notes and photographing and filming them. How could he possibly have jumped out and documented each one from the cockpit?
Getting seven cars of this calibre together - with the generosity of their owners, since none of them are publicly for sale new any more - must have been a logistical nightmare. Give credit where it's due and be thankful that this test ever existed in the first place.
