After his work with Teamfourstar, Funimation ( who would work with the guys occasionally) hired the man to do official anime dubs. He does really smooth, deep voices and has done notable roles like Ainz Ool Gown, the villain protagonist of the Overlord anime. When I hear him here, the humble origins make me smile.
He calls the bird "Toriyama" because "Tori" means bird in Japanese, and "teach a dinosaur to ride a ball" is a reference to a lyric in the original Dragon Ball Z opening, "Cha-La Head-Cha-La Adventure".

Damn this hits a little different after Toriyama has passed teared up a bit watching the bird come back to life and fly off towards the heavens. I thank my stars that I was able to live during the heyday of the western anime explosion and experienced all of these incredible stories.
Fun fact, while we don't know the exact way the Frieza race (frost demons) came to be, we do know that they don't exactly reproduce. They're grown in a lab, have their DNA harvested and cloned after altering it to make them stronger/different from the original. So in this case, that's why Cooler sounds like an older version of Frieza. Because he literally is.
This movie to me makes more sense as a alternate story IF goku got off of namek and never visited yardrat after beating frieza. Reason why he cant access super saiyan until he has a emotional catalyst.

I would like to point out the irony of coolers death by being blasted into the sun by his ultimate move called "supernova". Which is the term for the explosion of a dying star. The sun is a star so... there lyes the irony.
it's explained in a side story of DBZ:Kakarot that most of the the animal people on earth are just humans that took a magic fad drug that turned them into furries. it was more popular when Goku was a child but fell out of use as time went on, leaving the king of earth, King Furry, to be one of the only people who still use it.
So, the animal people does get explained in the Kakarot game. There's a drug called Animorphaline (animorphs reference?), Which turns the person taking it into an animal person. I don't know if there are naturally occurring animal people, so I don't know about the king's actual species, but the king is, in fact, a dog. Though there are dinosaur people, such as Giran, a member of the Giras race. He had Goku nearly beaten with his Merry-Go-Round Gum technique where he spits out a thick string of pink gum-like substance to restrain young Goku, but Goku grows his tail back and becomes strong enough to break out of it. Giran wisely decides that since his unbreakable Merry-Go-Round Gum broke, Goku is strong enough to defeat him, and so he surrenders by waving a tiny white flag (where he got it, I have no idea). And no, I'm not making any of that up. Also, in the DBZ universe, there are werewolves.
Maron is Krillin’s girlfriend from the non-canon movies and filler. Marron is Krillin’s daughter that he had with Android 18. They are both named after a pun, Krillin’s name in the manga is “Kuririn” which sounds like “Kuri”, the word for chestnut in japanese, and “Maron” is the word for chestnut in french Also cooler is 100% noncanon. He is never mentioned in canon material.
To answer your question about the beastman in Dragon Ball Kakarot there was a side mission that explains why they exist it said that in the past the people took a drug that turned them into Beastman as a fad because it was popular but it grew out of style only some people do it now thats why we dont see them ( New Lore ).
Thouser said "...bring the body back to Cooler. You know how he likes that." Cooler wanted to see Goku's body, also something to tie to the ship's bumper. Closest thing to a call back.
1- Maron is actually the name of Krillin's current girlfriend, you'll see her in the next abridged episode, Marron (two R's) is the name of his daughter. 2- The main reason Piccolo gets to show off alot in the movies is because he's the strongest fighter around until Vegeta comes back in, so he's mostly used to deal with the Movie Boss' minions, but not do much against the boss himself. 3- Cooler is indeed stronger than Freezer, since Cooler has an extra form (He spends his time in his 4th form, while Freeza only has 4 forms + Full Power), which brings into light how the powerscale for movie heroes is alot higher (and lower in some cases) than their actual canon show counterparts. 4- Cooler's Revenge takes place in that limbo between Namek and Trunks going to the past, which canonly during that time Goku is on planet Yardrat training. If you feel like placing it in canon, you can imagine Goku using Instant Transmission to come to Earth for a few days before going back to Yardrat, hence why he's not mastered Super Saiyan form and only uses it at the end of this movie similar to the reveal against Freeza. 5- I still highly suggest you watch the 3min clip of King Cold recovering Freeza and retrofitting him into Mecha Freeza before you start the next arc, just to tie things together in a nice bow.
The animal people get explained in a DBZ: Kakarot side quest that involves searching for a couple ingredients to cure the transformation and turn anthropomorfic animals back into humans. There was apparently a trend in which some people consumed this weird plant called Animorphaline to get turned into human-animal hybrids. After og DB, they all disappeared.
I mean tbh there already are multiple towns and villages across the world that have elected dogs/cats to official positions like Mayor or Sheriff, etc. lol
Just a heads up the Dog being a king is actually just a human who's using appearance altering Drugs and this has been confirmed recently and it's the reason why you see less Anthropomorphic animals in Super as the trend for the drugs seemed to have gone away although there are actually sentient anthropomorphic beings like Puar and oolong though and they are most likely the inspiration for the development of the anthropomorphic drug.

it's explained in a side story of DBZ:Kakarot that most of the the animal people on earth are just humans that took a magic fad drug that turned them into furries. it was more popular when Goku was a child but fell out of use as time went on, leaving the king of earth, King Furry, to be one of the only people who still use it.

So, the animal people does get explained in the Kakarot game. There's a drug called Animorphaline (animorphs reference?), Which turns the person taking it into an animal person. I don't know if there are naturally occurring animal people, so I don't know about the king's actual species, but the king is, in fact, a dog. Though there are dinosaur people, such as Giran, a member of the Giras race. He had Goku nearly beaten with his Merry-Go-Round Gum technique where he spits out a thick string of pink gum-like substance to restrain young Goku, but Goku grows his tail back and becomes strong enough to break out of it. Giran wisely decides that since his unbreakable Merry-Go-Round Gum broke, Goku is strong enough to defeat him, and so he surrenders by waving a tiny white flag (where he got it, I have no idea). And no, I'm not making any of that up.
Also, in the DBZ universe, there are werewolves.

To answer your question about the beastman in Dragon Ball Kakarot there was a side mission that explains why they exist it said that in the past the people took a drug that turned them into Beastman as a fad because it was popular but it grew out of style only some people do it now thats why we dont see them ( New Lore ).

You need a guide on how to watch these in order...
1- Maron is actually the name of Krillin's current girlfriend, you'll see her in the next abridged episode, Marron (two R's) is the name of his daughter.
2- The main reason Piccolo gets to show off alot in the movies is because he's the strongest fighter around until Vegeta comes back in, so he's mostly used to deal with the Movie Boss' minions, but not do much against the boss himself.
3- Cooler is indeed stronger than Freezer, since Cooler has an extra form (He spends his time in his 4th form, while Freeza only has 4 forms + Full Power), which brings into light how the powerscale for movie heroes is alot higher (and lower in some cases) than their actual canon show counterparts.
4- Cooler's Revenge takes place in that limbo between Namek and Trunks going to the past, which canonly during that time Goku is on planet Yardrat training. If you feel like placing it in canon, you can imagine Goku using Instant Transmission to come to Earth for a few days before going back to Yardrat, hence why he's not mastered Super Saiyan form and only uses it at the end of this movie similar to the reveal against Freeza.
5- I still highly suggest you watch the 3min clip of King Cold recovering Freeza and retrofitting him into Mecha Freeza before you start the next arc, just to tie things together in a nice bow.

The animal people get explained in a DBZ: Kakarot side quest that involves searching for a couple ingredients to cure the transformation and turn anthropomorfic animals back into humans. There was apparently a trend in which some people consumed this weird plant called Animorphaline to get turned into human-animal hybrids. After og DB, they all disappeared.

Just a heads up the Dog being a king is actually just a human who's using appearance altering Drugs and this has been confirmed recently and it's the reason why you see less Anthropomorphic animals in Super as the trend for the drugs seemed to have gone away although there are actually sentient anthropomorphic beings like Puar and oolong though and they are most likely the inspiration for the development of the anthropomorphic drug.

Cooler's voice actor is Christopher Guerrero who went on to work for Funimation and have voiced Ainz Ooal Gown in Overlord (Dubbed), Yata in Fire Force (Dubbed), Worgan in By The Grace of The Gods (Dubbed) and others I can't think of off the top of my head.
