This year marks the 400th anniversary of Byrd's death.
This is a great song that is often sung in Japan, far from Byrd's hometown.
I think the Japanese are also practicing for Christmas.
It is Byrd's ability to fill such a beautiful melody in the trilogy.
Although this is not so familiar in Japan, Lux Eterna and other choir groups, as well as high school and university students, are singing to mark the 400th anniversary of Byrd's death.
