  • When you are a beginner day trader, keeping a strategy simple is going to give you the best results. One of the common misconceptions I see is beginner day traders who are new and just getting started think they need some kind of massive and elaborate trading strategy. Now yes, you certainly do need a trading that contains rules and requirements in order to make a trade; however, it also does not need to be total rocket science. In this video I want to show you (with actual proof) how you can implement a simple and straight forward trading strategy that will put you in the right spot to build from and gain more money making consistency as a day trader. At times the biggest hurdle to learning how to day trade stocks and make money is realizing that it's the simple strategies that make the biggest difference, so let me show you exactly what I mean with some real life trading results of mine.

    Maybe a dumb question, but I'm not sure I'm really understanding what it means to let it go sideways.
    From investopedia:
    What Is a Sideways Market?
    A sideways market, or sideways drift, occurs where the price of a security trades within a fairly stable range without forming any distinct trends over some period of time. Price action instead oscillates in a horizontal range or channel, with neither the bulls or bears taking control of prices.
    From this definition, I assume you want to entry at a strong support and wait to scalp when it breaks resistance.
    My initial thoughts were that you had done your planning and charted out that 17.75 is a strong support, so that is your entry. Then I noticed that you were watching it while it was lower than 17.75, my question is, why not entry at that lower price?

    • @Nick-me9sf
      @Nick-me9sf 3 года назад

      17,75 was the upward breaking point based on the previous candles. The way the set up looked, was like the 17,75 was the resistance level of the price with only one false break (see the one doji). Please keep in mind that those targets are set up based on personal experience, type of chart (1 min, 5 min, 15 min etc) and the overall trend of the market that day. It does not mean that 17,75 was the mother of all breaking points. I would recommend you to read about technical analysis (for day trading) and gather experience on a demo account.

    So let the price go sideways. If I understand, the price was going sideways until 8 AM, then it must have had a catalyst that caused it to rise premarket. When market opened, you set $17.75 as an entry point to set up for the scalp.
    Am I following this correctly?
