Baking soda (which has always been aluminium-free, in spite of suggestions to the contrary) makes a great deodorant and is quite an anti-perspirant, too, without aluminium. It's very hard on clothes, so it's best to wash it off after half an hour (it should still work) or to wear an old t-shirt to absorb some of the powder before putting on more delicate clothes.
It seems that some baking powders contain some amount of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), and some (not all) of them also contain aluminum, I think there's where the myth or believe that baking soda has aluminum in it, but inherently it doesn't as you stated 😀 that's a great tip about using it as deodorant for your body, I've heard of some people using lemon with it

Just make sure your skin is very dry before applying it (you don't need too much), as it can burn if the skin is wet. I also take a break from it sometimes for a day because it is not the kindest to the skin but most of the time my skin is OK with it. I also find, in general, that the deodorant effect lasts for two days, even if I shower in between. It's the best deodorant I've used and it's cheap as chips and aluminium-free.
Since the mid 80's when my mother was diagnosed with AD, I have stopped using Aluminum based antiperspirants and NEVER cook in Aluminum. But, on occasion I may bake or warm food in an aluminum pan..wondering if that is not playing with fire..or because there is limited contact - as the food is mostly dry and not liquid, there is minimal transfer.Also, I cannot imagine that using Aluminum foil to cover food in the fridge, would be a problem. I assume the transfer comes when there is full contact and the tempo is high.
I’ve read that aluminum can leach into food because of certain spices and acidic contents. And there’s those moisture beads that form on the underside of the foil as it sits in the refrigerator and drops onto the food. There are so many safer options on the market like ceramic pans with lids for warming in the oven, and glass containers with lids for storing food in the fridge. It’s hard to get rid of otherwise perfectly good pans but it might give you more peace of mind. Also consider using parchment paper in place of foil, or as an added barrier between the foil and food. Eating low carb with no processed food and alot of animal foods which contain tons of fat soluble vitamins and amino acids is turning out to be the proper human diet. However just boiling water in an aluminum pot releases a lot of water. The problem is we are exposed to so much aluminum on a daily basis that we need to reduce as many sources as we can.
