Jack is probably one of the earliest Boxers that we still have on tape. My great grandfather was a tough Irishman who fought bareknuckle fights that would last until either your opponent gave up or was KO for more that 2 minutes. Fighting became a family tradition that was passed down from generation to generation. My grandfather changed his last name from "Milligan" to the english last name of 'Milliken' because the Irish Immigrants had it tough during the mid to late 1800's. Billy Milligan raised more hell than Jessie James and was one of the original members of the "Great Train Robbery" The pride & joy of the Milliken family was Kyle Milliken a Navy Veteran and part of Seal Team 3 for 2 years and a brother in Seal Team 6 that was involved in 46 combat missions including the raid and killing of Bin Laden . Kyle was awarded numerous medals & comendations but the Silver Cross & 4 Bronze Medals of Valor stand out the most. Kyle was a greater human being than a warrior & athlete! R.I.P. Kyle, you will never be forgotten!

Johnson is very underrated, he was like a cat. He could slap oncoming punches away before they even reached him and land punches right on the button even while he was chasing his opponent full speed. I don't think i ever saw a different heavyweight do that, not even Ali.
Johnson was an absolute defensive minded genius for the time, he was considered to be the Heavyweight version of Joe Gans, whom Johnson based his stance and footwork on.

Sadly, all these guys, and dozens of other great fighters will only be remembered by those who appreciate boxing history and what the greats really did for the sport.

One thing people overlook is the technique he uses and the reason why he can get away with holding these guys. Look at every single fight he does this modified over under hold, where he cups his opponent's biceps with his hands, rendering them useless, he puts his weight on them, if they want to punch they could muscle out of it but its an obvious tell and JJ would slip it. Its a great frustrating hold, and right when you're comfortable he rips those vicious uppercuts from underneath your vision. Truly a wrestlerboxer pioneer.

One thing people overlook is the technique he uses and the reason why he can get away with holding these guys. Look at every single fight he does this modified over under hold, where he cups his opponent's biceps with his hands, rendering them useless, he puts his weight on them, if they want to punch they could muscle out of it but its an obvious tell and JJ would slip it. Its a great frustrating hold, and right when you're comfortable he rips those vicious uppercuts from underneath your vision. Truly a wrestlerboxer pioneer.
