This is one of the best tutorials I have seen in a while...so clear and detailed❤
Thank you so much! ❤
Her video is amazing
I am so happy to find a crocheted you tuber who describes instructions in patterns! I’ve watch 4 other you tubers and it gets confusing if you don’t know when one pattern is finished - which is a repeat - and they go on and on and very very confusing. So thanks for being a professional!
Thank you so much for the kind words! 💞
Hallo Kristine, this top is fantastic I am making this for my Granddaughters Renate, Ingrid and Gretel they are teenagers am making the same size “small” Ich wohne in Sydney Australia geborn in Wien my husband is from Bremen and we visit Europe often. Mein deutch schreiben könnte besser sein I do speak it fluently. I love your video it’s so friendly and easy to follow, what part of Deutchland are you from. Tschüss Helga 😊
Thank you! That sounds so great! 😍 Your granddaughters are are lucky to have you! ❤️
Unfortunately, I'm not from Germany and don't speak German (even though my surname sounds very German) 😅
Apologies but am sure you are from one of Europes beautiful countries. 😊
@@helgasobotta5046 Thank you! ❤ I'm from Latvia originally ☺
Very detailed and beautiful. Thank you so so much for this.
You are so welcome! 💞
Hey Kristine love all your tutorials very helpful ❤❤
I made one for myself now I want to make one for my Lil sister who is 5 years old so could you tell me how many chains I should go for sleeves and body
For kids small size.
yay! Thank you! 💞
Could you try measuring if it works with 53 + 2 chains as the base for both panels and arm length? If not, add extra 25 chains (78 +2).
@@KristinesDay Thanks Krisrine I will surely try doing this. You are the best🥰
My daughter made this from your video, she tried many times from another videos and this was the perfect 😁
ahh that's so nice! Thank you! ❤️🙌
if each flower is 25 st, why do you start with 78+2? i want to make the top 5 flowers long bc i’m bigger. does that mean i chain 125+2 or 128+2?
Hey y'all, just a warning for anyone who's bigger chested, I made this sweater with the same measurements as her, my yarn is slightly heavier but still using the same hook as her, and after finishing I've realized the front flowers look extremely strange because they sit directly on my boobs... And with the middle of the flower, it looks like nipples 🤣 Not the fault of the creator, an oversight on my part, but for anyone else who's maybe thinking of making this, just keep it in mind !! I wish I could go back and just double crochet to make the diamond shape in the two front flower sections instead so it doesn't look so strange...
Haha I’m sorry about this 🙈 hopefully you can find a way to fix it! 😅
Your video is amazing, the video I've being seen here are confusing. I will make one and tag you on Instagram. Thanks a lot
Thank you! Can't wait! 😍
Beautiful work 🙂 My mother is from a small town in Puerto Rico, Moca. It’s known for very unique style of knitting named Mondillo. She gave a lot of classes to the people in town to keep the tradition alive and well ❤️
Thank you! 🥰 I will look it up! 🤩

Hi @KristinesDay wanted to thank you for such a great and detailed tutorial. I'm getting closer to feeling ready to tackle it. I appreciate not only the way you made the tutorial for everyone to understand but answering every single question since you posted this months ago. Subscribing and looking forward to checking out your other videos. Thanks!
Thank you so so much for the kind words! 💞 happy to hear that you are getting ready to jump into this project - let me know if any help is required along the way! 🤗
@@KristinesDay I made a tube top for my daughter using sc for the top area and your tutorial for the belly area. I did run out of yarn to finish making the straps to tie in the back. I was so excited that I could follow along row by row. It's not perfect but for a beginner like me it feels like it. Now she wants me to make her the full flower sweater and I feel pretty confident. Thanks again, Kristine! :)
@@ginag5624 that’s so amazing! Happy for you! 💕

Great tutorial ! It is okay to use à Polyacrylic yarn for this project or will it look awkward ?
Thank you! 🥰 you can use any type of yarn, but I would say that cotton gives it a more natural look 😊
I loveeee all your tutorials and I just subscribed. I don’t have cotton but I have a lot of acrylic yarn, it’s ok if I can use these instead of cotton? Tia!
Yay thank you! Glad to have you here! 💕
Yes, you can use any type of yarn 🤗
@@KristinesDay Thank you for answered my question.
Thank you kris ❤ I was looking for this ✨
You are very welcome! 🤗 💗
Can we use 100% acrylic for this??
Totally! Although cotton will give a more natural look :)
@@KristinesDay so acrylic won't look as good??
@@82-fyscia-arpitachavan7 it’s totally up to you - if you like how it looks then go for it. I just prefer cotton in general 😊
@@KristinesDay ooh okay... Thanks 😁
Did you do a you tube for the extra lacy top?
Yes I did! 🤗 here it is: ruclips.net/video/5h33h_FpLwk/видео.htmlsi=odr_lt86axbiIVWO
Gorgeous! It is exactly what I was looking for. I don't understand if the sleeves end with a row of double crochet Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you! 🥰
Yes, I ended them with a row of double crochet, so it’s easier to connect. 😊
How many extra flowers for a size large?
Multiply flowers until it goes from one side to the other of your body :)
Great video , going to try to adapt this for an oversized cardigan.
Thank you! 🥰 Amazing idea! I would love to see the final version 😍
What I did was split the front into two panels of 4x4 (I’m a large person) overlapping a flower but the top part I dropped a flower in the inner column. So instead of 4 x 4 flowers for one panel I did 3 columns of 4 and one column of 3 flowers.
The two of the 4 column flowers on the 1st & 2nd column were attached at the shoulder & sleeves as in your pattern, with the other two columns left unattached towards the centre and the flowers on top of the columns were folded in half like a lapel, to make it look like a v front open cardigan. I’m hoping my description gives you an idea of what I did. And think it could be improved by yourself as I only really tweak things I find interesting & inspiring to fit myself.
@@lieanefraser-simpson6565 that does sound like an amazing idea! 🙌 would love to see some photos if you have Instagram 🤩🎉
What is the finished width of the top l? Trying to gauge how many flowers across I would need! 😊
Size small as per video:
Sleeves: 40 cm width x 26 cm length
Body each panel: 50 cm width x 43 cm length 🤗
@@KristinesDaythank you! I did a quick scan but missed the measurements!
And where do you buy this yarn?
I’m using 4 ply cotton from Sostrene Grene :)
Thank you for this very good and clear tutorial!
I was just confused that you do a DC in the very First stitch after chaining 2 at the beginning of a row. I mean, isn't the Ch 2 already this very First DC? Then you have 2 DC in the First sticht. Do you know what I mean?
In this case ch2 doesn’t count as a stitch, so during the following rows it’s ignored and is there just as a border :)
This is absolutely beautiful 🤩🤩💗
How many yarn?
Sorry,I'm Japanese.I can’t speak English.
2:13
Around 200g of 8/4 cotton 😊
@@KristinesDaythank you!!
Can you tell me the weight of the yarn you are using as mine doesn’t seem to be as intricate. Also I know you said the flower takes 25 st but what stitch does the first flower start? Thank you.
I'm using cotton 8/4: sostrenegrene.com/da/produkter/kreativitet/garn-og-handarbejde/bomuldsgarn/garn-84-p-xb78505a
I believe I also did a closeup on the yarn specs in the beginning of the video.
From the bottom, first flower starts on row 2, after 10th stitch. From side it starts on row 5, second stitch.
I have split the video timing according to the rows, if that makes it easier to follow the pattern :)
Very wonderful stitches, if you please, I want the whole pattern. ❤❤❤❤
I have it on my Etsy 🤗
This Is such challenge for me...got rough time with IT😁Finished 10 rows and...can see....I have to undo all ☺️
I am crochet beginner honestly this Is hard for me
Hard not due hands but hard because you are skipping the end of rows
So I come back later
I'm skipping because it's repeating the same as in the beginning. But if you are a complete beginner, maybe practice a bit more since this could be quite challenging.
Otherwise, I have a written pattern on Etsy, which should be supporting you better :)
Did you block this before wearing?
No, I didn’t 🤗
Hi i love this video but i think it will be to big for me if I make it a size small what should I do to make a size xs?
Thank you! 💞 I would reduce by about half a flower on each panel :) but I'm worried that it might make it a bit too small - make sure that chains that you do in the very beginning go from side to side of your bust :)
Thank you for this tutorial, it was easy to follow 💗
glad to hear that! 🙌🥰
whast teh measurements for the sleeves and everything
Sleeves: 40 cm width x 26 cm length
Body each panel: 50 cm width x 43 cm length
Can this be done in the round? Also can increases be added?
It could, but would have to leave space for arms. And you can easily add more rows as well as make it wider. :)
12:30
just began crocheting , so currently im learning the more basic patterns, but cant to try this🤞🏽🤞🏽a stunning top really❤
Thank you! 💗 So excited for you! I hope your crochet journey will soon allow you to recreate this! ❤
😅 meant 'cant wait to try this'.... also, thank you :) 💗
@@aiinaa600 yay! 🫶🥰
I get so confused when you say to keep repeating the pattern and would be better if you showed the progress every now and then so I could check. I’ve started over so many times lol :(
Hey! Sorry about that! 🤗 It's because from then on it becomes repetitive, both in terms of stitches and rows that have to be repeated for building up the following flowers, but noted for future videos 😊
If it helps, I would suggest checking out my written pattern on Etsy, which as a lot more guidance as well as diagram: kristinesdaycrafts.etsy.com/listing/1670918520 💗
@@KristinesDay TY!!

🥰
Does the number of stitches change for a bigger size please commet back asap
yes, basically add more chains to add extra flowers in width :)
@@KristinesDay ok thanks
How many Stitch for size L ? 78+ 50 +2 ? Thanks
128 + 2 or 153 + 2: depends on the width you are going for :)
I made 153+2 it s perfect thanks
@@virginiestpbdn5389 awesome! 🙌
Thanks for creating this video. However, it is not for beginners because it’s quite complex and you don’t show every stitch. I like that you mention a pattern, but where the repeat starts and ends is is fuzzy. It would just a bit of time to say, the pattern ends, begin at …. “ In a written pattern, the repeat would be between * *. At the end, it would be helpful to show how the pattern changes as you move the fabric around quickly and cover the stitches with your hand so the viewer can’t see how it’s supposed to look. When you show each end,, you move the fabric too quickly and your hands cover the stitches making it hard to see as the ends don’t follow the patter - you kind have to guess! I’m an experienced crocheted, and I found it frustrating to have to figure out how the ends go. the ends, it would be helpful to describe the stitches as the pattern changes. The Row 9 explanation was very difficult to follow as as your hands and stitches were out of camera and when you say, put a stitch “there” without an explanation of where there is, you can’t even see the stitch. If anyone wants am easier video to follow, follow Hannah Drapinski, she shows all the stitches but doesn’t explain where the pattern begins and ends. I really like that you provided the written instructions as well. When explaining something, don’t assume that every viewer
What is the size for this one?
It’s size S :)
How many balls of yarn did you use ?
Approx 150-250g of 4ply cotton yarn 😊
❤ TFS Beautiful!
You are so welcome! ❤
So cute
Thank you! 🥰

Hi! When I am attaching the sleeves to the body of the jumper, do I have to do it on this way: if I have 25 dc along the edge of the sleeves, I have (it counts 50 stitches) to attach it to the dc along the side of the body of the jumper. So if it counts 50 stitches, i have to attach 25 stitches to the first half of the body, and 25 stitches to the second half of the body of the jumper? I hope it makes sense, and thank you!❤ And I am sorry about my stupid questions, I'd just like to make this jumper perfect.😊
Hey! No worries at all! Yes, it should half on front and half on back panel. Try using some placeholders to make sure you attach it on exactly the same spot on both sides. 🤗
Wow, thank you for the super fast and helpful answer! Love your tutorial!❤
@@alexandranagy8450 thanks so much! 🥰❤️
❤🥰@@KristinesDay
Would i have to use the hook the yarn calls for
Yes, exactly ☺️
Ok thanks
Do you have to use cotton yarn?
You can use any type of yarn you wish, I just prefer cotton since it gives a more natural look and feel 😊
How do i attach the sleeves so the stitches are not so tight
I'm using slip stitch. If you feel like they are too tight, try to do slip stitches looser or use a bigger hook. :)
Thanks
how may slip stitch for the neck line?
I left around 2 flowers for the neck :)
What size is the shirt in the video?
In general I’m wearing size small :)
Can i use a weight 4 cotton yarn to make it
Yes, you can, just make sure the size is adjusted to fit you 🤗
Thanks
How do you make it wider? What is the multiplier?
Add an extra flower = extra 25 stitches 😊
@@KristinesDay thank you!!
Is 8/4 yarn weight 1 in US terms?
I’m not sure, but 8/4 cotton normally requires 2.5-3mm crochet hook (altough here I’m using 3.5mm)
Why can’t I get this😫
Hey! What exactly isn’t working out? ☺️
@@KristinesDay you’re amazing 🥰 I think round 5, I’m stuck on I don’t have a gap where I’m supposed too and just feel lost😫
Hmmm, those should be the gaps made during the previous rounds, so just check if those are done correctly 🤗
What is the size of the yarn?
4ply cotton :)
shirt size for what weight?

Hi! Does the foundation row counts as a row? So when I attach the sleeves then do i have to attacg the foundation row too? I hope it makes sence ,and thank you for the great tutorial!❤
