In case anyone is confused by row 7, you should start by repeating row 3 instead of row 4. Thanks to the comment by Mica Alarcon for pointing this out. Thank you Chenda, your work is so beautiful and inspiring, keep it up!
Chenda commented on it that you do not start from Row 3 for Row 7 as the flowers are offset and not stacked in columns. However she doesn't explain how many chains to do for each row since her Row 7 started with CH3 in the video and she wrote CH2 in the comments, nor does finishing the row line up.

So chain 3, TURN, 3dc in the chainspace, chain 5, 1sc in the chainspace, 1sc in the middle stitch, 1sc in the chainspace... After that continue normally with row 2. Then 3, 4, 5, 6. Then 1 again! It took me a while, but I finally figured out this top. After she finished row 6, you can see her start row 7 without any instructions. Row 7 is basically row 1. After you finish row 7, repeat rows 2 through 6. I know it's confusing when she says repeat only rows 4, 5, and 6. But if you start row 7 as she does and then repeat 2 to 6, it's smooth sailing

Can you share how to do the row 7? After the single crochet and turning my work, I have the 3 petals after skipping the 4 double crochets.
Row 7 is repeating row 4 but modify to start with 3ch turn 3dc (equal to 4dc), 5ch, 3sc, 5ch,4dc repeat. (Sorry if not clear, i dont know how to write the pattern). I tried starting with row 3 but i see it changed the flower lace pattern to a simpler pattern..
Chenda. I have started over twice bc I am so confused. When I end row 6 and go back to repeat starting row 4 again it doesn’t look at all like yours so I feel like I keep doing it wrong. Is it bc I’ll be starting from a different segment of row 4 but otherwise the same succession? I’m so confused. Thank you so much for everything. I’ve made so many of your clothes for family and friends. ❤❤ you’re my favorite crochet person online.
@@shortysullenbarger7969 That's one way, but it will make a different flower, I figured out, after row 6, we have to make row 4 again, but it starts different, you just have to wait until hers look like your starting, then u start crocheting from there, same with row 5 and 6
@@shortysullenbarger7969 don’t worry! Go back to about 17:15 where row 4 starts and fast forward to the next cluster (after a couple chains get done) and you will see that it start from a different section of the 3 row you did previously. Same for row 5 and 6. But when you finish those your next rep of row 4,5,6 will be like the first 4,5,6 you did and it will alternate. Here’s a helpful tip. I think where you’re stuck at (after you turn it over ofc) you’ll have to start with a chain 3 and do 3 more double crochet (so a total of 4). Then chain 5 and then 1 single crochet into the top of that little cluster that looks like a flower (in the middle of the 3 single crochet). Then another chain 5 and then your 4 double crochet and so on and so fourth. You know what. I just realized I can come back and out a time stamp on where to actually start (where you’re stuck). Sorry if this doesn’t make sense I tend to over explain. I will be back with a timestamp. EDIT!!!!! Got it. START FROM TIME STAMP 17:50 After where she says next - that’s where you start and it’s where you’re starting from at that stick point (at 28:45) So the chain 3 (pretend double crochet) I told you start with is equivalent to the first double crochet she does after this time stamp. Sorry about the way I explain. I just do it the way I would need it explained. Wish my best to you besties. 💖🌸💖
HEY LOVES! If you’re stuck after row 6 (28:45) then start the tutorial at 17:50 to continue,, which is just a different spot on row 4 but other wise all the same sequence. Each set of row 4,5,6 will alternate between Chenda’s and the one I explained here. Btw Chenda’s OG row 4,5,6 is 17:05 - for when you finish those. REMEMBER: THEY ARE A REPEAT OF 4,5,6 BUT FROM A LATER SEGMENT. Fast fwrd a bit and you will see. I hope everyone gets it. I’ve made almost everything Chenda has put on here and she has such clean work and the cleanest way of explaining and showing the details. She’s helped me so much and I’m so grateful to her. If anyone has questions of my ig is the same handle as on here ✨💖✨
Thanks so much for sharing! One question - if you accidentally made your top too large - any tips on the positioning of the straps? I’m torn between making symmetrical vs just positioning to the front to have the gapping in the back instead
Was definitely confused in row one when reading the directions bc I wasn't sure where she was saying to repeat the pattern. Same with row 2. Some verbal and written wasn't matching up. Attempt number two!
I went back to a very old comment where ahe explained Row 7 (is Row 4) aince the flowers are offset instead of stacked in columns. Got to the end of the row and finishing it didnt make sense. How do we start row 5 and 6? Her row 7 started with CH3 in the video (listed in the old comment she weote CH2 so I'm confused), but what do we chain for the rest of the rows since going back to the previous parts aren't the same exact chains at the beginning of the rows? Starting Row 8 (Row 5 repeat) also looks incredibly weird. Example being I cant DC into the 1st DC St since the first one for me is a lot farther down the row. It doesn't look right. Did check all the other comments, but not a lot of luck.
I'm doing this for last 3 night. And now, It's 8th row. I didn't understand 8th row but I did it. it looks awkward to me. maybe I'm just imagining this. I hope it will be nice. Edit: I have done. It looks so gorgeous. Thank you❤ I made for 31inches and it took 120gram yarns.
It was hard for me too. so I just imagined my next chain. I thought what chain would I make to make it so. I will advise you to imagine your next chain. I hope you can do it. if you do it correctly, the double chains look like the letter X. /sorry for my bad English, I'm still trying to improve my English/
@@michellei7951 Yea!so the pattern actually starts at half of the cycle. So you can skip a tiny bit into the video to find the start of the cycle and then keep going from there. Same with the other rows
ME TOO!! When I go back to repeat 4 mine looks different than hers. But I just wrote her about it and as I was writing I realized maybe it’s bc we start from a different segment of row four but it’s the same succession. Let me go see right now and if I figure anything out I’ll come back. ❤
YES I FIGURED IT OUT,,, so you have to go to row 4,, which is like around 17:05 and you have to skip forward a bit to the second segment of row 4 and that where it starts (for 7). And after you’ve down that couple inches you can then go back to 17:05 at the beginning of row 4 tutorial and continue. Till you get to 6 that’s how it will be. Then start 4 5 6 over but will be like the first time. I don’t know if this is making sense but if not I’m totally down to give you my Instagram and I can try to shoot you a little video or something. :)
HI Chenda. Ive been following you in a while. Im currently trying this pattern right now and I think there is a mistake. You mentioned to repeat row 4,5 & 6 after the first row 1-6 and while doing it it doesnt seems so right so I watch it again. Can you double check it if Im right that instead of 4, 5 & 6 it should be row 3 -6 . Thank you
Hi 👋 please repeat row 4, 5 & 6. When you start row 7 we will repeat row 4 right, so I checked it and it's just a little bit different at the beginning because where we made slip stitch, the stitch keep alternate to make the flower shape and the flower also keep alternate if you check it you can see the flower it's not stay on top of each other.
And you can check it again when I made row 7 I started with chain 2 and made 3 DC in chain 2 space and then chain 5 and made 3 SC, chain 5 and made 4 DC in chain 2 space. It's the same like row 4, it just a little bit different at the beginning of the row.
@@chendadiy oh I see. I followed how you do the row 7 but after finishing it up. I was confused about the result. Ill check it again because using row 3 as my row 7 works for me. Anyway I really love your works :> thank uu so much.
Hi chenda, qq. I followed your video tutorial but on the last part you said we should repeat row 4,5 and 6 but I saw you're making 4chains and rd4 starts with chain 1.. :(
Measure your bust, then start making chains counting 17 +17 +17 (I did it crocheting 17 and doing the math on the calculator) so you do 17 chains every 17 chains until you got your measurements. But it has to be an even number. My bust is 87 cm and I did 170 chains
Sadly cant finish this. I cant figure out how to finish row 8 even after looking at the explanation of others. It just looks weird. I think your other videos are great, but this ones explanation could be better
I love your RUclips. Can you please help me with row 7? I tried to modify row 4 as you did on the video but I keep getting stuck on how to end the row and how to start row 8... I can even buy your pattern. Can you help us on this?
Hi! I was stuck as well but that's just bc we have to start row 4 but from a different segment, do 7th row just as she did it (which is row 4 again) then when you start row 5, just wait or go forward until the segment that looks like your starting, I waited until it looked like mine!
The same will happen with rows 5 and 6, the starting is different but you just have to go back to each row and wait the segment that looks like your starting and start crocheting from there. Once you repeat 4, 5 and 6, you have to do again 4 5 and 6 but it will be the same as the first time, no changes at the beginning
Me gustaría hacerlo pero no entiendo 😢. Empezas la 4ta fila con 3 cadenas y la primera vuelta la 4ta fila empezaste con punto bajo😂😂 me perdí Chenda..😊

Did you successfully make this? After row 6, I repeated row 3 thru 6 again, but the flower pattern isn't coming out properly

Then another chain 5 and then your 4 double crochet and so on and so fourth.
You know what. I just realized I can come back and out a time stamp on where to actually start (where you’re stuck). Sorry if this doesn’t make sense I tend to over explain. I will be back with a timestamp.
EDIT!!!!!
Got it. START FROM TIME STAMP 17:50
After where she says next - that’s where you start and it’s where you’re starting from at that stick point (at 28:45)
So the chain 3 (pretend double crochet) I told you start with is equivalent to the first double crochet she does after this time stamp.
Btw Chenda’s OG row 4,5,6 is 17:05
- for when you finish those.
REMEMBER: THEY ARE A REPEAT OF 4,5,6 BUT FROM A LATER SEGMENT. Fast fwrd a bit and you will see.
I hope everyone gets it. I’ve made almost
everything Chenda has put on here and she has such clean work and the cleanest way of explaining and showing the details. She’s helped me so much and I’m so grateful to her.
If anyone has questions of my ig is the same handle as on here
✨💖✨
Thanks so much for sharing! One question - if you accidentally made your top too large - any tips on the positioning of the straps? I’m torn between making symmetrical vs just positioning to the front to have the gapping in the back instead
I love it 🥰
Thank you so much 🥰
Omg this gorgeous 😍
I was just thinking about making something like this!
I wanna make it into a sweater cover thing for winter
Was definitely confused in row one when reading the directions bc I wasn't sure where she was saying to repeat the pattern. Same with row 2. Some verbal and written wasn't matching up. Attempt number two!
Olá, dessa forma circular não estou conseguindo acertar, mesmo seguindo seus passos. Obrigada
Can you please get a tutorial crochet Corset with a lace front? Please reply reply 🥺
I can’t wait to recreate this!!! Thank you for the tutorial ❤
Thank you❤
I made for 31inches and it took 120gram yarns.
7th row doesn't work for me! there are double crochets in the row below instead of single!! did that happen to you?
It was hard for me too. so I just imagined my next chain. I thought what chain would I make to make it so. I will advise you to imagine your next chain. I hope you can do it. if you do it correctly, the double chains look like the letter X. /sorry for my bad English, I'm still trying to improve my English/
@@CrochetCats this happened to me too omg, were you able to find a solution?
@@michellei7951 Yea!so the pattern actually starts at half of the cycle. So you can skip a tiny bit into the video to find the start of the cycle and then keep going from there. Same with the other rows
Hi chenda this is very beautiful m definitely make this and plz could you make next tutorial on folklore crochet cardigan plz

Nice
Beginning chain of 110
Row 4 - 17:22
Row 5: 21:20
Row 6: 24:58
Hi Chenda I'm inlove with thia top but I'm stuck at row 6😢 thank you for the tutorial, trying to figure it out
ME TOO!! When I go back to repeat 4 mine looks different than hers. But I just wrote her about it and as I was writing I realized maybe it’s bc we start from a different segment of row four but it’s the same succession. Let me go see right now and if I figure anything out I’ll come back. ❤
Me too.I 'm also stuck at this row
If u guys figure how to do it,pls let me know😢 Thank u.
@@illidelphian1508 please give me your Instagram name😞 i need to finish this top by tonight
illidelphian1 Thanks a lot ❤️.I will try to continue this!😙
Can you please get a tutorial crochet Corset with a lace front? Please reply reply 🥺 too late
Why does 29:20 have a different begining from row 4? Then the following rows will also have different begining and ending? Guys pls help
Yeah im also stuck in that part
Hi chenda!! Please make a butterfly top tutorial 🥺
Thank you❤️
@@chendadiy i tried this but it doesn't work out at the end of the row for me. 😢. Please help Chenda
If the yarn is 4ply not 3ply like yours can i still use the same hook🤗
i’m new to buying yarn, can someone tell me if 3 ply is the same as size 3?
Muy bonito bendiciones
Hi chenda, qq. I followed your video tutorial but on the last part you said we should repeat row 4,5 and 6 but I saw you're making 4chains and rd4 starts with chain 1.. :(
❤
Please Chenda can you explain that foundation chain again?
The chx17 (170 chs)
I don’t understand it
Measure your bust, then start making chains counting 17 +17 +17 (I did it crocheting 17 and doing the math on the calculator) so you do 17 chains every 17 chains until you got your measurements. But it has to be an even number. My bust is 87 cm and I did 170 chains
If your bust is for example 80 centimeters, but you did 153 chains, you will have to add 17 more chains until you got the even number
@@key7586 did yours end up being too small bc i am the same size but chenda is smaller :)
Thank you @Key ❤️
ignore the 17 and add buy 34's that way it's always even!
Did you use only 50 g of yarn for this project?🥰
Hi chenda can you please make a tutorial on round neck... 😇❣️
Can i make 2 separate panels?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I need a waist band .Can you make a waist band please ?
Sadly cant finish this. I cant figure out how to finish row 8 even after looking at the explanation of others. It just looks weird. I think your other videos are great, but this ones explanation could be better
I really didn't want to give up, but I guess I have to. Beginning row 8 is a bit confusing to me 💔
If you could show us how to make this pattern into a triangle scarf, I would die of happiness‘
Hello! Can i use 4ply cotton milk yarn for this top?
How to make dress of this pattern,??! I'm beginner sorry 😅
Thank you dear but if the straps were some more worked on would be great.
Can i use 5 ply momaco here?
May I know would you teach to crochet the cat ears hat please? It is suppppper cute
Oi , bom dia . Ao final de cada carreira você vira o crochet ? Obrigada.
Bom dia! Um pouco tarde agora, más sim, ela virá depois de cada carreira!
@@claraclemens6537, nada nunca é tarde , obrigadaaa.
Is it just me or does row 6 not set up right to start repeating back at row 4? I've checked multiple times and can't figure it out?
I think the repeats are off 🥺
More original tops pls!!!
Im sorry im so dumb i cant understand the foundation chains. What does it mean multiply by 17?
ใช้เข็มเบอร์อะไรค่ะ
Has anyone had problems with the 4DC groups bubbling out like popcorn?
Me gustaría hacerlo pero no entiendo 😢. Empezas la 4ta fila con 3 cadenas y la primera vuelta la 4ta fila empezaste con punto bajo😂😂 me perdí Chenda..😊
I'm so confused do I follow the video or u guys?
def follow the video, the ppl on the comments are in their own worlds
