Smh yeah... I'm fortunate enough to still haven't finished it. Unfortunate enough to have deleted my 2nd account that I finally got up to the old world blues dlc and couldn't even finish the game because of it so I basically have to beat the game all over again and finally finish all the dlc
and luckily, for the most part, you still can!

@@kelvinspencer9265 I get that in the Fallout world there a lot of "shades of grey" but the Legion literally has slaves, puts people on crosses, rape and pillage entire cities.
Yeah the NCR has some corrupt leaders and has done some strange political moves but you still have generals like General Hsu in New Vegas for example that always try to minimize casualties and work with diplomacy first.
Also, everyone involved in Bitter Root (like Boone) will tell you it was an accident and they didn't know it contained that many civilians and they feel terrible about it. Yes they should have done more research but at least they regret it meanwhile the Legion would have done that happily

Yeah the 'running' is the same speed as the walking the character is just wildly flaring their arms about lol
playing it through for the first time right now. it is *so* good that i was in the middle of a 40 hour playthrough and was so indecisive on who i want to side with that i decided to restart so i could have more time to choose

@@dinand28 fine, if you prefer that. But Mass Effect only released 4 games in 10 years while Star Wars regularly released 2 or 3 games per year. You can't compare.

The music used in Fallout is not actually licensed by Bethesda and they have no issues with you using it, the original creator or sound studio might but majority of them are defunked so its a gamble but a pretty safe one
The problem is not the Fallout OST. Lots of videos have the original Fallout music. The problem is the songs on the radio, like Big Iron and Johnny Guitar. Lots of those have a strict copyright and you never know which section of the video you may have to cut because of one of those songs.
Host is completely wrong.
Vanilla game on console is still a masterpiece.
One other thing I love about the Ted Gunderson quest: after talking to Chauncey, you can go back to Heck Gunderson at the bar and tell him their plan. He'll then give you a sawn-off shotgun and help you blast your way through the casino! There's so many ways to complete this quest, but that particular option isn't even marked!

Recently replayed New Vegas on console. Minus a few technical issues here and there (random floor textures vanished a couple times) I actually had a solid time with it with only like 2 major crashes

I recently downloaded "Begin Again" for Fallout 3 and NV, and holy smokes it's an amazing "remaster"
the game still holds up on the Series S. I booted up my old save from my last xbox on the series S and played for about 8 hours straight, finished lonesome road in 1 sitting. Its still just as fun as it is on my pc wtih 400 mods

Should try tale of two wastelands mod combines both 3 and nv into a single game and turns them into one connected story its best way to play the old fallouts
i tried to do this once and got so frustrated i abandoned it lol
3 and NV run just fine on the series x and 3 even has a performance option. I've played nv 80hrs with 1 crash.
I always have speech as my main skill but i change up the other skills to have other builds. But i always successfully maxing out or almost maxing out every skill in the end due to the glitch everyone should now abut by now
Issue is charisma is kind of useless as a stat....speech on the other hand, a great skill
Just bought NV and fo4 the other day and am playing them again for the first time in almost ten years for 4 and over 10 years for NV , and dude it feels so great
I just got done replaying this and all the DLCs. I loved it. I finished fallout 4 recently too because the tv show made me wanna replay, now I bought fallout 76 and playing it for my 1st time and had an amazing start. Came out vault level 20, and there was 2 level 200 and 300 guys outside that gave me tons of free crap.
Next time you play you should use some radio mods I'd recommend forgotten radio shows I think that's the name

yep, that's why he said "don't shoot" but it doesn't work unless you activate Archimedes. It would be hilarious if you could just leave the gun in his possession and he once a day activates the laser in a random part of Freeside.
Also Euclid's C-finder weights 15 pounds, and that kid holds it in one hand without issue. He must have strength 12.

I've been playing New Vegas for the past few months and it used to crash on me every 20-30 mins until I got the Viva New Vegas utilities about a week ago and now it hasn't hard crashed even once.
This playthrough looks so different to mine though because I just stopped at the stability improvements 😂

@@alyrafsanjani6928 yeah i would say it's easy. They provide automatic installers and if that doesn't work they have a comprehensive setup guide available. It's def easier than adding these mods 1 by 1

Honestly I really hope bethesda lets obsidian make a special edition new vegas with adequate time to add cut content and fix bugs. Also add a sprint into the game because every single mod except one doesn't have controller sprint support. But goddamn despite its bugs, vegas is king baby.
Does the Viva New Vegas guide still enable achievements for the steam version? I have it on console but recently got it on PC

@@knightghaleon for any game that disables achievements with mods it's usually as easy as looking for an "achievements enabled" mod. I've played like 5-6 games that did this and every time i was able to find a mod to fix that problem

I am extremely deep into my first playthrough on New Vegas... Just got lvl 50. Truly unlike any game I've played before in the best way! Definitely going to play again as a Drug-addled, Alcoholic Cannibal!!

i can play 3 without mods no issues. nv i HAVE to mod it to get it to even run properly.
The best Fallout ever for sure if you install at least a few essential mods at least for performance and stability. And it's worth playing for sure. People are STILL creating and updating mods for this game in 2024.

Following the Viva New Vegas guide you can install the essential mods to make the game stable and really bug free in less than 30 minutes. Only available for PC. But if you mean strictly vanilla, then yes, the console version is strictly better.

I have never seen Benny do a no show so this is new to me. I have to play to play this again.
well, he was intentionally failing every speech check. Usually when you confront Benny you are between levels 7 and 10 and have a really high speech if you're playing optimally. If you don't have a high speech you can't convince him of going up. You have to make him go first or else he will just escape and send his goons.

they added Sprint *sprints with walking movement speed*
The same thing was happening to me. The sprint mod wasn't overwriting the L-Shift key that's supposed to activate spring, but in the vanilla game switches between running (normal speed) and walking (crippled snail speed). I just changed the walking key to another one, it's not like I ever use it.

To this day ive been trying to play a game thats at least similar to this style of gameplay. As far as making uour own choices and havingba karma system. This game is truly one of a kind. Fallout 3 was okay too but new vegas had way more substance to it.

@@gagewhitaker3309 in my opinion it’s better. The lore is just as deep but more refined and makes more sense, serious tone and when it comes to rpg it’s less customizable as far as character but at the same time you feel a more personal connection to the main character. It is easily my favorite game series. Play through 1-3 every 18 months or so. Highly recommend the legendary edition.

Fair warning for the first of the trilogy, the story is fantastic but it is a 2006 game and while updated in the legendary edition it is a little clunky. I still recommend it because your decisions in the first carry to the second and so on and you want all the context you can get. Also read everything if you like world building.

It's fun to watch people who are new to the series play NV, for the first time because it's always recommended as the best FO due to its player choice and almost overwhelming RPG elements. However, FO3 is still loved by many even if they aren't as vocal as the NV fans. FO4 is good for more casual fans. Especially, those coming to the series form the TV show. The show purposefully mimics its structure for this reason. FO4 is more FPS than RPG, but mods can provide more player choice if they choose to go down that rabbit hole. The only one I don't like is FO76, to this day.
Prob best to start with 3 just because the gunplay is a little weird, so you can just enjoy the game despite its jankiness then move on to either nv or 4 lol

How is New Vegas "hard to revisit" on consoles? I play it and Fallout 3 easily. That look fine and the gameplay and story is (and always will be) great
well, everyone's experience is relative right? what i mean by "hard to revisit" is it looks worse, loads slowly, and is buggier. it's certainly playable, but i have my PC here. so i'd prefer to spend the couple hours it takes to add these mods that make it looks better, run better, and fix it
eh in my experience modding old games is way more annoying than just playing it lol. Mods also create their own crashes, "a couple of hours" could be a long ass time not playing the game

I don’t get the hype. I finally tried it and a few hours in the dialogue was weird and things were happening that made no sense. Losing reputation for stealing from a crate when no one was around for example. You can’t run 😂 I understand it’s old. And I m getting fed up seeing the new Vegas is better that this game and amazing etc. We get it.

I miss the 1990-2010 era of gaming.
If you ask me around 2009 was the sweat spot where gameplay was still center and the added graphics of the time added something to gaming. I cannot enjoy the old games of my childhood for some reason. With a few exceptions like Tetris. Favorite Puzzle- Tetris/ Action Adventure- Shinobi 3/ Condole RPG- Final Fantasy 13-2/ Handheld RPG- Pokemon Black 1/ Racer- Super Hang On/ Fighter- Street Fighter Alpha 3/ Tactical RPG- Fire Emblem Awakening/ Action RPG- Dark Souls 1/ Survival Horror- Resident Evil 1/ Horror RPG- Parasite Eve. Based on this list you can tell I have not played many of these genres with regularity for many years. I am mainly an RPG gamer these days, though I do play a number of genres here and there as well. Right now I am playing Monster Hunter World, Hero Wars, and Mech Arena.

I dont get why people shit on the console editions so much as you have the same problems with crashes as on PC
in my experience the console version never crashed. pc version always crash but the ability to mod is a fair trade off. fallout nv with the right mods, better than most triple a games to date.
i’d rather bethesda remaster new vegas then make fallout 5. it’d be amazing with better graphics and just being less buggy.
