It is incredibly choice based as is, but not in ways that obviously affect the world like the Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2. The choices are flavor text like you said that mostly refer to V's past or mental state, but so much of real life is defined by dialogue with people that I feel going this route made it easier to relate to, for me at least
@@storyfirstgamingyt youve brought into my head why do we relate to some games characters more than others? Or in the case of rpgs, what makes for the best way to feel that connection to your character? As an example, i dont like fallout 4s choice with a voiced protagonist. I think it falls flat in a number of ways, and is a flawed system, but beyond that it very much took away from me being able to assign a personality or create a personality to a player character. For example, joel in the last of us is joel and you play as him, but you still can create a personality with joel, even if its as simple as the ability to be creative with combat style and approach, or investing in different perks or modifications. A voiced protagonist whom we play their story and see the world through their eyes is more fitting for a game thats somewhat more on rails, with a story being told as the game naturally progresses. In my opinion, that does not mix well with games like fallout for example. It makes it tough to relate to a character when your interests dont align, but say if youre watching a movie its designed in such a way you want to see what happens to the protagonist, and to see them succeed. Such as with a game with a story to tell that takes you along through it, without allowing much deviation from said story. Last thought, assassins creed blends these very very well.
@@paladinkhan I completely agree except where I haven't played the game like The Last Of Us and Assassins Creed. Sandbox RPGs like Bethesda Fallout would be much more suited to a silent protagonist based on their limitations, but a more on the rails story can do well with a silent protagonist too. The Metro games are a great example. Even though Artyom is silent, through his actions you define his personality. So it seems like almost any avenue is viable, you just have to be very intentional that the writing and game design fit perfectly, and that one doesn't ever eclipse the other. I made it through about 5 playthroughts now, and the game never bores me. I know almost every single line of dialoge, but still, I love it. Night City is one of the best designed game-worlds ever to exist. The story is amazing as well. Phantom Liberty is also a great expansion, massively adding to the story and gameplay. Cyberpunk 2077 will always have a special place in my heart...and I'm afraid no other game will ever come close to it (but that's just my personal experience, I understand that my opinion here is very subjective). No matter what game I play, in the end, I always find myself back in Night City...
I’m playing it right now! I bought it on PS when it came out and then just sat on it. I finally repurchased it on GOG with its DLC and man I am hooked. I am SO GLAD I waited until now to fully play it. Such an amazing game. I gotta give it to CD PR, they actually saved the damn game and did right by us in the end. Hopefully they never do that again.
Can't wait for the modders to actually add the intro montage as gameplay, not sure how you'd go about keeping the montage itself through because it's banger enough that it needs to still stay
I replayed too and thought: If only Jackie had kept the chip in his head when he died. a lot of problems would’ve been solved and V can have their best friend 😂😂
It’s different. If you die from a head wound, it makes some sense to have a new neural network be created that replaces the old. But Jackie died from hypovolemic shock. Even if he had the chip, he wouldn’t have had the gas to keep going. No blood.
Talk about an underrated RUclipsr! Got to see corpo run since I’ve done Streetkid and currently doing Nomad. Really entertaining and love the vid so I subscribed. Keep it up🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💕
I genuinely feel that, as their first game outside of the Witcher franchise, CDPR Devs did do a solid job (if you ignore the ridiculous decision to try and release the game on last gen hardware). With both Lifepaths and Attributes, I sense that the Devs were hoping to do more with it (i.e. making Lifepaths and Attribute Scores play a more significant role in dialogues and divergent paths through the story) but they probably had to scale that back during development. Hopefully with the sequel the devs will feel much more confident with going all in on having Lifepaths and all other player choices impact the game in far less subtle ways.
That MaxTac part has always been in the game. It wasn't added in the police update. And the part where you thought there was a fight, you're probably remembering the side quest where you go back to the apartment. Also you could have skipped time to get into lizzie's. But I guess doing side stuff is good too

The Input\Output thing is pretty much talking about your genitals in relation to theirs. Input aka plug, output aka socket. So someones input is their boyfriend, someones output is their girlfriend, So yeah the bouncer flirts with you.
Tip of the day - get the "Smooth Movement" mod. It adds proper inertia/momentum to on-foot movement, and makes player movement feel so much nicer and more predictable, simultaneously giving you a better feeling of body awareness and weight, while actually making it easier to smoothly dash around without awkward moments of stillness. Gives you that Mirror's Edge vibe when you're leaping from rooftops too, and you can turn around while sliding, thus allowing you to effectively slide backwards while shooting.
Idk how to explain it but the corpo life path makes the game feel more emotional. You start the game in survival mode not enjoying life. Then being able to leave it and live life for once only to lose it again with soulkiller
Some things you missed might be worth re-playing the intro yet again. The iguana egg which eventually hatches, going to the roof of the penthouse and getting a unique sword, unique clothes in the penthouse as well

5:25 wish they made a dlc which extends on the adventures with jackie welles, like 20 more hours of doing trashy small jobs for small money with jackie i think it would be great to even strengthen the bond to the player just to rip out the players heart later even harder
Those neck snaps are nice🥶😌
Hopefully they never do that again.
it's literally so much better. I played at launch and really enjoyed it then but I really can't believe how much better the game got
I just redownloaded it and started a third playthrough yesterday. It’s feeling even better this time around!
Can't wait for the modders to actually add the intro montage as gameplay, not sure how you'd go about keeping the montage itself through because it's banger enough that it needs to still stay
Modders could use the montage as a recap for the second part of the game
Oh no, you missed the opportunity to romance Meredith by removing the virus and earning one of the best weapons in the game.
Ohhh boy, YES! I lost count on how many times I grabbed that silicone rubber thing when I had to do a non-lethal take-down.
I prefer doom doom tbh
Best game ever, combat system, perks, weapons, it´s so much fun! Limitless replayability!
Hopefully with the sequel the devs will feel much more confident with going all in on having Lifepaths and all other player choices impact the game in far less subtle ways.
throwing knife build is amazing in this game, the headshot bonus and the bleed effect work wonders
ive started like 5 new pts , it's really fun and actually worth while
That MaxTac part has always been in the game. It wasn't added in the police update. And the part where you thought there was a fight, you're probably remembering the side quest where you go back to the apartment. Also you could have skipped time to get into lizzie's. But I guess doing side stuff is good too
That's not what I meant. I was talking about the random encounters, which were added
I cannot get over this game 😢 it’s just awesome
got around 650 hours and counting, just wish they’d implement ng+ cuz it kinda sucks having maxed out gear on a character you can only really use against MaxTac cuz there’s no more missions to do
Thats why you do none of the gigs until you complete the game, you have to be smart about it
you should play it in vr, thats a next lvl experience.
This game is legit GOATED
I have no willpower. People replaying games, always makes me want to replay them too. 😂
I can watch you play the entire game 😅😂 I LOVE your commentary
Never played a game with a story this good feels like I’m in a movie every mission
top 5 game fr
Not even top 50 😂
@@3n3j0t4u clearly never played it
@@funny_man8779 I did play it, keep coping and dickriding a mediocre game tho 😭😂✌️
Bruh I ignored cyberpunk until Starfield came out
I was so phenomenally disappointed even though I wasn't even expecting much
So I bought cyberpunk and gave it a go
Goddamn it's immersive as fuck
Then being able to leave it and live life for once only to lose it again with soulkiller
welcome back choom
LOL i just saved enough money to buy it todayy
U should buy rdr 2 its much better than this game.
@@ONLY-HYBRIDSgod shut up dude
@@ONLY-HYBRIDS Boring game
@@CarCoSaNoLa who the hell said u do ur fucking work .
Have fun!
10:20 im pretty sure that scene has always been in the game
My favourite RUclipsr playing my favourite game ❤
Most ppl that play cyberpunk, even if they finish a story thread, haven't seen 70% of the game.
I bought Cyberpunk in 2024, aware that it had a turnaround after a rocky launch. It’s been amazing.
I was one of the crazies that had this on release. I barely remember anything from that prologue!
im playng sandevistan build from edgerunners and man is so FUN! This game is incredible.
man I remember when this game was half finished
Some things you missed might be worth re-playing the intro yet again. The iguana egg which eventually hatches, going to the roof of the penthouse and getting a unique sword, unique clothes in the penthouse as well
just started my 3rd playthrough yesterday
Throwing knife build is 100% viable
I started this game late November of 2023 and wow I was immediately captivated by the world that was being shown to me entirely engrossed playing the main story I choose for hours on end all the side missions all the gigs all the nopd scanner hustles every single thing phantom liberty has to offer and I can confidently say this one of if not my favorite played games of all time even after finishing this game with nothing else to do I still find myself looking for any excuse to play beating on thugs or doing those car delivery missions and it's hard to accept that I miss this game I miss learning about this world I miss when I didn't know anything about it besides Keanu Reeves and a depressing anime from 2022 I want more Cyberpunk 2077 | don't care what critics said in 2020 it's good NOW I miss playing this game man
Damn, you didn't get up to Saburo's AV on the roof. You can't use it to escape, but you can grab his Datapad and Satori sword. Also, there is an iguana egg in the suite if you take a look around.
I have played through cyberpunk three times. All three times to level 60. The first Playthrough ended because I realised after grinding for 50 hours that female V can’t romance Panam. So I restarted as male V to romance her. After 60 hours of that the safe file completely corrupted because of a hard drive issue I had to fix. So I started another play through to where I am now.
Best Game ever!!! I did 2 playthroughs before PL and 3 full ones after the DLC came out and JUST started another one, first time as a male V 😂❤
I play through the psvr headset which has built in headphones...it adds to the immersion immensely...
Imagine a world where this is the state in which cyberpunk 2077 launched.
In all my hours of Cyberpunk I've never actually seen someone Stealth the Scav haunt at the beginning of the game
I wouldn't mind a couple more episodes tbh....
Never played cyberpunk before, started it 5-6 weeks ago and finished it yesterday (With a katana & knife build), 80+ hrs and it was really good.
Btw you can skip time through the menu
I lived a life with this game and I LOVE IT ❤
Cyberpunk 2077 in 2024 is perfect.
What I’m surprised about is if you got the Phantom Liberty dlc you can skip the beginning and be on level 15.
Mark Normand playing cyberpunk. Comedy.
i love this game so much that i restart it once a year, i have 350+ mods
fun fact the guy who walks into the bathroom is the same guy street kid V steals from in the intro
btw you can find the ex malstrom boss in the hideout of malestrom, if you free him he will help you at a later day
Dude I go back for a restart like every two weeks. I’m always making new characters
did a run using ONLY throwing knives and Sandy... I WAS GOD!!!!
If only Jackie hadn't removed the Chip, he would've woken up the following morning very confused but still alive... for a time.
LET IT BE KNOWN! this was my first ever pre-order on pc and beside some performance issues, wich wasnt a big deal since playing in mid graphics solved it, I HAD A BLAST!
i did so many builds, so many new games, in my current playthrought I HAVE NOTHING TO DO ON THE MAP, i just love Night City man, really wish the review bombs woudnt have made preject red cancel the multiplayer game they were planning.
consoomer final boss
Now do Phantom Liberty!
I'LL HAVE TWO NUMBER 9's
A NUMBER 9 LARGE
A NUMBER 6 WITH EXTRA DIP
A NUMBER 7
TWO NUMBER 45's, ONE WITH CHEESE, AND A LARGE SODA
I’m doing fresh right now, street kid this time. 4 achievements let to get
I just bought the game 1 month ago 🤣 So, I had a lot of fun completing the story. And I wil do it again, restarting it. I even might try to do a speedrun on this game who knows ?
Wait till you guys charge jump and realize you can climb every building . I’m sure there’s mods now that can turn you into a cyber ninja
76 hours into my 3rd play through and i still haven’t lost interest.
We got F.E.A.R AI in 2005, 2000 fucking 5, then there is cyberpunk.
What went wrong
I restarted with Street Kid recently, it's fun!😅
Wow, I just started my first playthrough yesterday & I picked 'street kid' but you hardly get any intro with that route. It's literally just 'steal some corpo dudes ride where you meet Jacky' & that's it.
If CD plays their cards right Orion will be amazing probably better then 2077 only gotta wait 🛐 I remember before most of the updates the ability to throw and retrieve the knife without picking up was part of the cool perk tree
Great video! 👍👍
