Yeah it’s actually quite tragic that he had to leave them behind when on the run. Loved that they gave him some stuff with his daughter even if it was very brief
«if you given a gig by rouge, u know it will be top shelf” Meanwhile Rouge gigs for V: Return stuff for spoiled brat, kill few randos and steal shard that will take you 2 min tops.
Don't forget that V's solo gigs are smalltime jobs. Earlier in the game you can ask Rogue for work and she will explain how you are still a nobody at that point whose first big job (the konpeki plaza heist) failed dramatically and gotten multiple mercs killed. She simply can't risk her reputation pairing you up with the seasoned veterans of the Afterlife. Who according to the lore, have multiple big heists under their belts and know and trust eachother thoroughly.
one thing i like about dex is that you hear how jackies illusion about him fades as you do all the organising for the kanpeki gig while dex just sits around and buys you the delamane as his one good thing even the fake identities are all made up by t-bug
the current state of the game is probably my favorite first person rpg of all time. the story was always good, but now it's not buggy and it plays amazing
@@wojciech_leszczynski imagine skipping one of the best 5 games of all time cause people in the internet said it’s bad 🤣 Enjoy the game bro, and never listen to the “backlash” ever again
I have around 1500 hours in Cyberpunk, and even when I first played... I wanted to be in that City for real... even though it was dangerous freaking place.
The channel “Shaped By Stories” did a great expose on Dex that shows he’s way in over his head and has no idea what he’s doing. I highly recommend it for more info in him in particular.
I recall from a conversation that V can have with Regina J, that Regina was a war correspondent, and a friend of hers mentions it to. In a conversation that can be had in a meeting with T-Bug and Dex before the heist, it is mentioned that T-Bug and Dex know each other from years back, T-Bug probably was the one to cover Dex's tracks when he went on "Vacation" and didn't want to be found.
Always wish we had a side quest that got more personal with the various fixers once we’ve done all their gigs. Like an ultimate; “I trust you enough to handle some serious biz, here’s this crazy infiltration mission with cool story elements.” Or even something more personal. Like a quest running security for Wakako herself in a dangerous deal. Would make fixers more personable and give a better insight into what they actually do and how they secure jobs and deal with mercs.
Tbf they all lead to a more personal quest but I just don’t think they do it well enough, like Regina and the Chinese government for example. Loved that they expanded El Capitan in Phantom Liberty though and Mr Hands and his take over of Dogtown
@@WiseFishYeah. I agree with the El Capitan and Mr Hands quest lines. Those quests stood out and made them some of my favorite fixers when I didn’t even initially like them. The other ones weren’t so interesting or just didn’t feel like they had a satisfying payoff.
Regina is also nice. I somehow like her. An extraordinary variety of quest, the cyber psycos, absolutely brilliant. Some are boring, some are stunning. I dislke the fact that Okada San wasn't more involved. She seems to be pretty big in NC and there are not many rememberable missions. Hands is Mr Charming in person. Good man, enjoyed him quite much as a character. Rouge has some missions but considering her reputation in NC ... there should have been much more. Dex... I still hate it that V wasn't able to finish this bastard of herself/himself. I shot him every time I visit the place for Mr Bartmos.
Just found this channel couple days ago and didn´t realize that there was a entire franchise of CP. I tought that CP2077 was a standalone title with no actual deeper story behind it but wow, there´s a ton of data which goes back to 1850 and that´s insane. The entire setting is dystopian but also really cool and fascinating.
Great video, your Cyberpunk videos are my comfort videos. I sit down with a nice cup of coffee, put in my AirPods, and replace memories of actual history with Cyberpunk lore.
It's love to hear an interview with whomever came up with the concept for cyberpunk. Why don't any of you cyberpunk channels do interviews with creators and writers?!
Thanks to your lore vidoes on cyberpunk I finally bit the bullet and picked it up from CEX, since buying its all I've been playing and I'm hooked on this world and everything in it👍🏻
One of my favorite lines in the game is when V is talking to Padre at Jackie’s wake: Padre: “I believe Jackie has met God, stood before him…” V: “That’s it?” Padre: “I’m not sure if God left the meeting happy, but I’m pretty certain Jackie did” Makes me chuckle every time lol
This was an amazing video, I loved it and all you're other lore video's. There's always well done and so well detailed, my opinion Padre and Hands are the best fixers in NYC!!

Whatever they do for the next game, I really hope we get involved with Blue Eyes more in the following game. He had my interest initially during the base gam when he's watching you with Jefferson but seeing how hes all over the Spaceport whe you're trying to save Song just has me more curious, especially if 2 of Cyberpunks best Netrunners are hiding on the moon
@@lebiquo8501 yes it's incredibly fun and really worth playing. The story is amazing and very interactive, the gameplay pretty fluid and dynamic (it's no longer buggy like it was years ago), the Phantom Liberty DLC is one of the best game DLCs I ever played and the open world is stellar. I really recommend it.
As much as I like Jackie he was a horrible choice for that mission by Dex everything about him screamed street kid and the only reason they got as far as they did was the training of the staff to cater to the powerful without disrespecting them destroyed their ability to say this isn't right call in a superior to check this out. I don't count the player since V is a blank slate for you to make into whatever you want.
I really like how they remade Mr. Hands. Previously it was just some 'mysterious', secretive (or even shut-in) guy with a voice that sounds almost the same as Yes Man's (i kinda liked his voice because of that though)
Does anyone know how I could fix these errors, problems that appeared out of the blue during the game Cyberpunk 2077 2.1? it's about the xbox series x console, the highlight is that I've never had gender problems with this game or others and I didn't have it on the old xbox one console either, I'm waiting for an answer, thank you.
It really is sad that Jackie was so caught up in his idolization of Dex. Dex was genuinely such a loser character from the start, it oozed from him. I thought Jackie was smarter than that. It's especially more surprising since it's hinted at that Jackie and V usually worked for Wakako, who was an amazing fixer, paid well, and actually cared about both of them.

Mr. Hands is a man of honor IMO as well as one of the best connected fixers in NC.
Dex is truly the Rick Ross of the Cyberpunk universe. All fake, botched many plans, and couldnt even properly finish V off point blank.
