If you press down on the d-pad while first person aiming it’ll give you iron sights
Or scope sights if u got a scope attachment
I always play first person with the aiming dot off and just use the iron sights or scope. It adds extra difficulty, especially when your on a horse and you cant use iron sights so you just have to kinda estimate where to shoot. Although I have gotten really good at judging it and it looks a lot more satisfying when you get a headshot without the dot helping you aim.
@@A_youtube_channel_ bro i played it just like you did but with a better fov and better ironsights mod beside slow realistic reloading and let me tell you it turned out in to a great realistic first person shooter, also added ragdoll overahaul and peds overhaul and i cant go back playing without them, its such a satisfying and immersive game this way i highly recommend if you´d like the game was a little harder and the shootings were more realistic.
@@GrayFullB I had actually played a little with a few mods installed and one was the survival needs one but it also let you change the damage you take from bullets. I made it 1 shot to the head and like 2 or 3 in other places so I was basically the strength of an npc. You don’t realize it but normal arthur is a tank because he takes so many shots. Play like this actually made the game pretty unsurvivable because of those random encounters when there’s like 4 gang members on you, I challenged myself not to use dead eye but even if I did they still killed me most of the time usually from headshots. One of the fun parts of playing with high damage were those gang hideout raids because I litteraly had to plan out the places I would be sniping from and how I would go in after and use dynamite and fire bottles to kill the rest since any close gunfight would leave me dead
I never knew that!!
Now all you need to do is play in VR first person, the true immersive experience.
I did my first playthrough of it on my PS4 first person and with no aim assist only the whole way through, it was the greatest cowboy shooter ever. Never felt more badass in a video game
did the exact same, it was an amazing experience, did'nt even look at the map till i completed the game, turned the minimap off. It felt the appropriate way to do it considering the time period

I set up so was first person except when on horseback and in cover. Totally helped with motion sickness. Changes the entire vibe, truly beautiful.
Hearing you be like "but it takes 30 minutes to install" hurt my soul. I live in a super rural area with the only internet being satellite internet. Even simple game updates of 1 or 2GB could very well end up taking several hours upwards to a day or two for me to install depending on the time of the month/season/weather/etc. XD To this day, I think the longest install for me was the Batman Arkham bundle that included: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight along with a lot of the extra DLC and cosmetics ended up taking like 2 weeks to finish installing completely for me.
I take my circumstances for granted very much. I send my regards as that sounds terrible. May I suggest the starlink internet? I’ve heard people on here talk about it but I haven’t researched it as I have fiber optic internet. Best wishes.

You should hide the minimap as well, and only bring it up when you need it. That ruins immersion more than anything. You soon learn to navigate by the landscape instead of staring at the satnav
Cant believe its almost 6 years old. I got this game on my birthday in my senior year of high-school. Now I'm 24 and out of college. Weird to even think about
i played the entire game SP and MP in 1st person, never looked at the map and turned the minimap off. The World to me was what i could see, no mission icons, no encounters visible. I played slowly, just exploring the wilderness, took me a year to finish, and in that time i never knew it had the RDR1 areas, till i got to that late stage.Even turned Autoaim off.
It was the most immersive and rewarding open world experience ever, that i wish i could repeat by forgetting the map. You had no idea what was around the next hill, valley.
I knew the second you was going to his house you was going to get the Gatling gun encounter as it always happens when you go there.
It might be an excuse to play RD2 again but I'm here for it, amazing game.

At 3:26 you didn’t get ambush by bounty hunters. You actually got ambushed by Lemoyne raiders (btw I died to them like that once)
There’s a neat glitch/feature that lets you remove the scopes off of the sniper rifles. Makes hunting moose and bear cooler.
How to do this glitch?
Press down on the D-Pad, it literally makes everything so much better
Cyberpunk also does that where it sucks you into story moments because it's so far and above in quality compared to other games.
It's definitely not the quality that was promised years ago. It might be better now, but it's 100% not the best compared to other games.
i agree it dude, after doing 100% in cyberpunk and finishing all sidequests and all endings and replaying the game 5 times, idk wht to do and when i play other games, i get bored, sometimes u just gotta give the game its chance. It definitely sucks u in like a black hole outside your house

I started it first person just after Kingdome Come on hardcore mode.
Left me only a compass, removed all the kill effects, installed the Ped Damage Overhaul mod and it's been a blast. You don’t know who is really killed, who is lying and wounded. It takes time to figure out archery though and you have a totally immersive and cinematic experience.
The fact RDR2 has 1st person with no undead nightmare should get Rockstar classified as a terrorist organization

By coincidence I've been playing in first person lately and it was a bafflingly different experience, I'm glad other people have made videos on this.
I think the most surprising thing for me was how hard duel wielding is in first person, which is pretty realistic
I wished that they port this to the series and ps5 consoles and give it 60 fos and some other bells and whistles, would be nice to have that on a console
i used to love gaming.. i bought tons of games back in the 90s and 00s... now i mostly watch people play games.. firstly cos my computer is 12 years old and
below min specs.. and secondly cos i almost never see any games nowadays id actually want to play... in the last 10 years red dead 2 is one of the few games
id actually buy if i had a good enough computer to play it

If your playing on PC you can get mods that fix the FOV a bit (especially on horses) and allows you to actually aim down the sights, also you can get mods for extra damage and blood to make it even better.
If playing on PC I reccomend using ironsight mod and first person camera mod which makes the fov stay the same when not shooting to shooting from the waist, whilst only zooming in when u look down sight

Wild, all the hours i put into the game i never shot the guy to save the painter. All that dialog was new to me... 🐐 game.

this is the only way i play the game now. no hud, lock on aim, or reticle really helps the combat feel that much better if your looking for a real challenge. trying to actually perform kills from your holster is so much tougher but all the more satisfying

Motion sickness was a real problem for me to the point i couldn't even play games without FOV sliders for more than half an hour before feeling really bad, somehow it cured itself while playing Far Cry 5, i still get it from time to time but now i can play hours as usual 😂
Does anyone know if I can make the commands, like actions, dialogue options, that pop up on the bottom corner during gameplay bigger? I’m legally blind and can barely see them, but love the game.
I just did a second play through in first person, no hud, no aim assist, and no dot on my screen for aiming and had a great time

This game and Metro Exodus are peak immersion to me. I bet GTA 6 will join that fray but I love these two games for more than just the immersion. Both ME & RDR2 have amazing settings, great characters, and gripping stories.
Hearing "it only takes 30 minutes to install" gives me pain, meanwhile downloads here I have to do overnight because it takes so long
I boot up this game every now and then just to walk around
I always play first person when exploring, hunting and looting, but third person when riding the horse (because the game's horses look too good not to watch every second you're riding them), and third person when walking with NPCs because I feel like it's easier to see where I am in relation to them. And of course sometimes I just have to play in third person so I can see the cool duds I spent all my money on.
Yep, I didn't spend an hour to find that stupid warped brindle arabian for nothing.
Fun fact I have over 500 hours in the game, completely offline, and I've done all of it in first person mode, with free aim, and barely use dead eye.

6 years and it was well ahead of its time. I wish Arthur’s death, both high and low honor didn’t happen, and he stayed alive but I’ll say that out of every game with a story mode that I have played this game is by far the best

Though I encountered a weird bug where the enemy NPC's are invisible, just their weapons are visible and shooting at me xD I have no mods installed at all, and I am still in the intro basically, when you go attack O'Driscol's men in the snowy area.

@@jayveeeeeSame, and nausea. I’ve never gotten motion sickness in my life until I bought a VR. After only 15 minutes of Skyrim I felt sick with a tension headache
