Originally released in '08, the award-winning Anvil! The Story of Anvil! documents Canadian heavy-metal icons Anvil who would inspire the likes of Anthrax and Metallica, and then drop off the map to begin what would become decades of toiling in obscurity. Director and former roadie Sacha Gervasi followed guitarist Steve "Lips" Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner as they stumbled through a harrowing European tour and reflected on failure, friendship, resilience and the will... to follow even the most impossible of dreams.

I'm watching this documentary now, and it's grueling to see what these guys went through. It's like watching Spinal Tap!
Saw this for the first time a little over 10 years ago and have been a fan ever since. It's great to see Lips and Robb getting to do Anvil full-time now instead of working day jobs.
I don't think that's the case anymore. They've gone back to where they were.
I saw them a couple of times in the bars when I was like 17.
I remember the hype.
This was a great documentary,it gave them a little boost for a while but then they went back to their small cult following

@@williamkennard4663 Metal on Metal has that monstrous riff, but the first song I heard was Concrete Jungle which is more serious. It contains a few words that must be taken into the context of the song, just as a warning in case you are sensitive about language.
