I saw anvi last friday Steve played guitar in the crowd in the begining of the show after that show he came again in the crown to make pictures with us i am so happy cause i hold his hand he is a really cool guy WE LOVE YOU Steve "lips"
Love these guys!!! If you like rock, you need to see "The Story of Anvil". It's just awesome to see this band get successful again because of the movie. You really want to root for them.
How refreshing is it to see a guy who is an anti rockstar and the and the greatest rockstar, all at the same time. Lips is all about the the love of playing music for people. No pretentious overblown ego guitar rigs, just a classic clean amp, a dirt pedal, a little delay for some colour, and done! Love it! Too many metal dudes don't have the balls to use a rig like this, because "it's not metal". What a load of crap! Metal is in the heart, not in the gear! I met Lips when I lived right next door to the Embassy, in London, Ontario. The nicest and most genuine rockstar I have ever met! The guys from Voivod were also super cool when I hung with them outside Call The Office. Congratulations on finally finding the success you and your bandmates have always deserved! Do it until you can't! 🤟
When their movie came out years ago I loved them. They have such heart. So excited they are still going strong. Come to the Pacific Northwest it would be great to see you live.
"Heavy-Duty-ize" I love Lips... I learn a new term every time I hear him talk. That Tokai is under rated! I was about to say how tired he looked but then he mentioned this is the last night of a 40 gig run and I'd say he's looking pretty dapper'
though I enjoy their first 3 albums, I can't say I'm a big fan of their music. but it's always great to see that they're doing well. respect their passion 👍
Hits me right in the feels. Such a sweet man working so hard all these years to bring his metal passion to us all. Criminally underrated. I hate using the P word but ANYone calling themself a metalhead that doesn't wave the Anvil banner high n' hard is an absolute fucking poser in my books
It's cool how simple his guitar setup is, he just found a sound that worked and stuck with it for all these years. I would never have guessed he was using Fender twins.
I´m not a big fan of Anvil to be honest. The movie made me to listen to their catalog after Metal on Metal. And I´m still not a great fan. But I really admire their dedication, probably the most hard warking band ever. Huge respect for this band! I really hoping they are doing well financially now... Fuck 9 to 5!
You're right! He loves early Nugent. His original reasoning for using the hollow body guitars was to differentiate himself from Nugent as he was so influenced by him he didn't want to be perceived as a copycat. I remember seeing him say that decades ago now
I saw the Anvil movie on TV but didn't know anything about the band and I haven't really listened to more than a couple of songs. But I like the attitude, just raw balls to the wall hard rock. Just look at that equipment, it's back to basic, slam your fist hard! =)

I have every single cd they've done. Something warm about Anvil.
I love this guy and the huge balls he swings everywhere he goes. Inspiration to constantly do what you want to do.
He’s definitely a road warrior. Touring Canada in the wintertime? -20.0. No way.

Same setup as early Ted Nugent .First Anvil ”Hard n Heavy” from 1981 lissen to the solos ,Sounds a lot like Nugent 👍👍🤘

These guys are the real deal. So underrated!!!
Anvil is the backbone off metal! MOOOOOORE

We did not. We tried, but they weren't interested in showing off their vehicle.

It's this year
Lips might be the only metal guitarist to use Fender amps!
2 birds with one ...
Thank they make an action figure of this guy already?
He has no fingernails. 4:22 Weird, I've never seen nails cut back that far.
