Never appologize for taking a few seconds to explain a technique or tool that your are using...that's like GOLD in your tutorials!!! I have learned so much and am really enjoying your classes !!! So thankful that they are still here on RUclips!!! Thanks for all you do and for all your hard work creating these classes!!!
Your tutorials always inspire me. Only discovering the world of crafting at the ripe old age of 70. Started with a watercolor class at our local Senior Center, then found your wonderful tutorials. Now I'm going to give stamping a whirl. I actually wanted to make some greeting cards when I started all this. You are a delight!
thank you for all of your videos Lindsay. There is no where else to say this privately so I will say it here. I have depression and it has helped me tremendously to watch your videos and start to stamp and make cards. This has become my joyful spot and a light that brightens my day. You have no idea how much I appreciate your sharing your artistic talent, thank you!
Thank you for sharing your struggle, it means a lot to me to hear this:) I have been honestly wondering if anyone cares if I post daily or not and I have been in a slump lately. thank you for your comment, you have inspired me:) Take good care of yourself:)
Wow, I think that you have alot of followers and people who watch your videos! They are some of the best art videos on youtube Lindsay. You have made it possible for me to have the confidence to enjoy stamping, drawing , watercoloring, etc. Thank you again, Debbie
I am with you on this, Deborah Anne! I suffer from Depression and Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, and I have learned so much from Lindsay, and it has enabled me to make some beautiful cards to mail to others. It has become a small ministry for me. Life is hard. Art is fun! Maybe that should be on a tee shirt! Hah! Being creative does so much for us. The part I have so much trouble with is masking. I am somewhat spatially challenged, so I have to think really hard about it. I frequent this video tutorial!
Hi Lindsay, I only gets to this video and realise you are literaly doing classes. Totally love this card and i continue to learn from you. Im binge watching n gonna re watch n take notes. Thank you as always. Luv from the UK
Never think that you dwell too long on a technique. I have been stamping for years but have been afraid of water colors. Your tutorial videos are wonderful!!! They are be t informative and I have learned a lot!!
Lindsey you are a ray of sunshine to watch! a lovely lady so bubbly you are a breath of fresh air your happy voice makes me feel happy to watch you and it brightens my day. You explain things so well that learning from you is easy! I think you were born to teach because I don't think there is nothing that you teach that I couldn't learn so I thank you very much for that Lindsey. I'm happy to be one of your subbies. Tfs crafting hugs Bridget 😊
Lindsay, you are such a good teacher! This is a video I have set aside to refer to in the future. Your explanations are so clear and reasonable to understand. You make watercoloring approachable for me.....and I am TERRIBLE at it, but I keep trying....and one day, I am sure I will finally watercolor something that I could use on a card to send to someone! Thank you!
I wish I had found you earlier. I used to stamp on cards and just color them but never painted them like this. I did go out and buy the expensive markers and the real brush markers and pencils. I found your video to be very informative and I will absolutely be watching more. My son is actually gonna color some cards with me, he's 17. Thank you so much please don't stop teaching you are a very good teacher.
Thanks Lindsay for the masking tip. I am a begining stamper and wondered how to overlap without making marks on previous stamped objects. I love these stamp school series!!!
What a beautiful card! I have always been afraid of watercolor, but you make it look so easy, can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing your talents with the rest of us, I have learned so much from you and appreciate your thriftiness as well as your expertise. You have impacted many, many people, so keep up the good work!
It shows my husband's pic here but this is the wife, Lori. You do AMAZING work !!! I love your videos. I don't know how you can go so quickly and have such a steady hand. Currently teaching myself, well through youtube how to do water floral painting. Your videos are helping a lot. Thank you. Lori
I needed this beginner video. I have real watercolor background and some college art classes as part of my prep to teach elementary school but this kind of project is different so your instruction was much appreciated. I think this was one of your better videos because it was straight to the point. Thanks.
Thank you so much Lindsay for this video! I bought this stamp set recently and could not figure out how to not overlap the flowers, leaves, stem etc, and the sticky note technique looks so simple to do! I really enjoy your videos and your explanation is always so clear and I enjoy listening to you talk us through things. Thanks again!! :=)
Thank-you so much Lindsey. I am new to stamping and I have this exact same stamp set. I have played around but was not sure how to layer the stamps. I needed to see the masking technique. It was very very helpful. I am sure I will watch it more than once. Thank you for your great videos. They are always so helpful.
Hi there Lindsay, thank you for your wonderful tutorial! You are really helpful, and I love the way you show us ways to do things cheaply as well! Keep up the great job you do!
Had technical problems placing my order with Stampendous, but everyone there was very helpful. I used your link and absolutely raved about your marvelous tutorials. Told them if it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't even know they existed. Both Laura and Ronnie think you are a great, nice, wonderful person, and I couldn't agree more.
Deirdre Powers aww, thanks so much for the shout out. They are a wonderful company! They are big but are as friendly and care about the customers as much as the smaller companies I am fond of:)
Had to comment this was one of the first videos I watched of yours and bought this stamp couple years ago. Saw this video again and decided to make a card with it again. Tfs
I have that same set of stamps and haven't used them yet. This tutorial was fantastic since I am a newbe to paper crafting, watercoloring, etc. Love all of your videos. Very inspiring Lindsey. TY.
Love this card but I always love your wonderful work. Thanks so much for sharing. I am new at watercolouring so this is very helpful. Thanks again, Elizabeth from Canada
This is Great!! I've been "collecting" stamps for awhile now, but really haven't used them much. I've always drawn whatever I wanted to paint, but making more than one card, I really see the advantages of having a stamp. As for masking....I would Never have thought of that. So Yay Stamp School!!! TFS. Alice
You are such a great teacher!! I really enjoy watching and listening!! I learn a lot. Water coloring has always scared me in the past, but I'm starting to try it more. I already have those Spectrum Aqua colors unless they have come out with newer colors more recently. I'm looking forward to trying your 'lesson'. Stampendous came out with a very similar set a few years ago with a jar and also a bowl with roses, and also hydrangea blooms, which I love. I haven't used it for a long time because I got into doing the 3D look and I was new at stamping again. So now I'll try this. Again thanks for all your videos.
Brilliant!! Yet another fantastic tutorial.....thank you so much. Am familiar with the post it notes mask but have never managed to 'paint' the images with any amount of success but now see how I can achieve better results thanks to your video. Cannot believe how simple you make everything seem. When I read about these things in books/magazines I find myself going blank but your videos are inspiring and make things so achievable. .
ty for the informative video, I've been stamping for a long while, but took a looooong break, so this refresher was welcomed, I am a beginner watercolorer & loved how u delivered ur instructions, 😀🎨
I love this stamp set. I have done it in watercolor pencils and I thought it came out pretty good, but your stamping and coloring with the markers is just beautiful. I have always been a little threatened with masking but this example looks pretty easy. I'll have to try it. TFS
Thanks! I've been stamping for a long time but just recently acquired these markers. I really like them and enjoyed your tutorial. A great masking tutorial as well. I tend to forget that I need to build from front to back!

Hi him I'm 35 and live in Ireland I've got an illness that keeps me in the house slot I've just got into stamping and mixed media and I want to thank you for your infomative and fun videos
Love it Lindsay. I am really into water coloring lately. Got the Clean Color set as a RAK. Was thrilled. Anyway, I never thought about using the markers as my stamping ink instead of typical black. LOVE that a lot. Also, I think with using just a little ink on a palette would actually make your markers last a little longer also. I have to have that stamp set. Gotta get to Michaels but in the meantime I will do the "frugal" thing and see what I already have that is pretty similar in design. Love it all Lindsay as usual. Thanks so much.
Thanks for another informative video/class. I have the aqua spectrum markers too, but I haven't had a chance to use them. After watching your video I think it's time to play!
I really like this stamp set. Lovely card Lindsay!! I do masking, but silly me using cardstock not post its. Thanks so much for the wonderful tip! Today I am catching up on your videos for this week :)
Hi Lindsey London calling, such a relaxing video great technics as always thanks for sharing and regards Paul P's was pushing your channel whilst away in Doncaster on a craft weekend just gone, a three day weekend friday was a great training day lots of technics and offers, saturday sunday were market days but lots of companies doing make and takes plus such a great mix of stalls ect we could buy from. Whilst there some ladies asked about good water colourist you tuber so I recommended your good self and a fellow disabalist who was having trouble with stamping technics I sent in your director. Hopefully they will pop by and become part of the FG,s UK fan base. Have fun and regards Paul
I made my own stamp with a foam board! I know it sounds stupid or like it wouldnt work, but it did! First, I cut out the shape that I want (leaf) and use my markers to stamp it on! Thanks for the tip! But I didn't use the masking trick because I didn't stamp it on each other. Its kinda hard to explain... Thanks again for the tips!
Hi! Lindsay, I love your videos. They are really inspiring and you are so up beat and always smiling. I have a query I would like you to solve for me. When I discovered card making it was by accident. I have now taken the plunge and have collected quite a few bits and pieces. After seeing some of your videos I decided to buy myself waterproof pencil and I even bought a couple of books for practice. Ibought Derwent watercolour pencils and Artist Trading Watercolour Cards (Smooth texture 300gsm 63x89mm AM536). My query is "Have I purchased the right size for card making, or have I made a big mistake. Thanks in advance and keep turning out these wonderful videos with great advice for people like me. Ann.
This was a great video, again. I just love this technique. I got this stamp set at Michael's after you showed it in one of your video's. I am going to try this technique with my distress or Tombo markers. Love it! Jil

Could you please tell me what kind of paper I can use as a card base , I want white ,smooth and heavy paper . i have neenah 80 lb and this is not heavy enough as a card base . I am a cold porcelain clay crafter but because of you. I loved the card making .
+hudacrafts I prefer 100 or 110 lb card stock to use as a card base. I bought Neenah solar crest 80 lb and thought I could use it as a card base but I don't like how floppy it feels. You can also double up on your current card stock to make it thicker. I attach an extra panel to the back of the card so the thickness matches the front (where it's the front of the card and the card with the art on it). I didn't feel like spending another $50 on cardstock, though, so I went to michaels and bought a package of 100 lb white card stock and use that as my card base instead. It was like $6 with a coupon. :)
Stamp school is such a good idea for stampers of all levels. You use so many different techniques, everyone can pick up a new trick or two. This may be totally unnecessary, but if you have a viewer that is brand new to all things crafty, your reference to crayola might be confusing. When you say it is fine to use crayolas, the first thing that may come to mind is crayola crayons instead of markers or water colors, which would not work too well on a rubber stamp. Just a thought.
Ana Abruna yes, try what you have. I think Walmart and Target have the crayola 10packs for 97 cents. The colors are a bit limited but you can't beat the price!
thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Lindsay, I am new to all of this. Can you sell the prints and cards of the final image on etsy or craft shows, that are made from stamps?

Love it! I might have to play and see how this would work with my Memento as they are a hybrid.
Kristen K that will work, just press a corner of the pad on a tile to get the color to paint with. Derp, I should have mentioned that LOL!
Beautiful!

When you say it is fine to use crayolas, the first thing that may come to mind is crayola crayons instead of markers or water colors, which would not work too well on a rubber stamp. Just a thought.
jean massey oh! I did not think of that, thanks!
thank you Lindsay :)
I've just gotta try this! Did not know you could use just any water based markers (like crayons) to do this technic! Great video Lindsay!
Ana Abruna wait until you watch the vids on how to reink pigment ink pads and the old versamark!
