The video game bit made a bit of sense, because of how mook behaviour is following a certain "convention" despite being not completely efficient. Michael talks about easiest way to victory. The pencil bit is what I don't get.

This might refer to a multitude of things he talked about like "laws of physics" or he might mean it a bit more metaphorical, like, we treat the laws of love/war as if they were written in stone, even though they aren't.
You can actually do a lot with the simple mention of the pencil. Stuff like this is why he's a genius.
I remember being a kid thinking "if I was a leader in war, I'd make all my men hide in ambulances and trojan horse the enemies" and couldn't understand why no one had thought of doing it before.

There's no good reason to make content that rounds to a minute when you're maming it for youtube but I think people would naturally tend to aim for round numbers and not numbers that end in one second less than a minute.

As kid, and still, I never truly liked romance films.
There is always a love triangle in which two form a couple and live a perfect happy ending as protagonists. But there is also the third one, who ends stranded and as a character which most of films never even bother to give disclosure.
I watched those films for the stranded character... they always felt more real to me.
Seems edgy, but, it was always an adventure to see them go through such desperation that we are so familiar with in real life; and even to hope for them find a solution to their heart.
It's because in both love and war which is one only winning matters for most people. The fact that you have a keen interest in the suffering of others denotes a level of empathy above the majority of the population.
Love and war are one and the same because their concern is with the survival of the self with which one identifies with and this identification with the self is brought about by culture therefore no matter how much love we are going to preach we will always endup with war. It's inevitable.
I love how Vsauce can take literally anything, and make an 10 minute video about it.
