This is the entirety of this performance, which was only part of a medley with the brothers singing a couple diff songs. Additionally, this was edited into its longest form, brothers cut out, to make it sound like it was just this one song sung.
Lori Lieberman was actually the first artist to release this song in 1972. It didn't do well. Roberta Flack covered it the next year and it went straight to #1. No one will ever sing it as good as her.

No one beats Vicki Lawrence's original version. That and The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia are my two favorite songs of hers.

@@nihlify Not like that. He would have had to have continuously been singing louder. He wasn't singing a high belted note that would necessitate pulling the mic away to maintain an even level and it clearly wasn't used to fade out the last note in a song. Watch that again and tell me you really think what you suggested is going on.
