Today for some reason I cannot watch Michael perform. It hurts. I miss him. He and his music are so interwoven into my life that sometimes when I see him and know that he is gone, I just feel so sad in my soul. But thank you for a lovely video.

The young MJ catalog is full of gems. His voice was so beautiful. I think I hear his brother Jermaine in the background. Maybe J5 provided the background vocals. His rendition of a bunch of blues, soul and R&B hits are so great.
The backing vocals in his solo Motown recordings were mostly made by a vocal group called The Waters (Oren, Julia, Maxine, Luther)

I think "Off The Wall" was a very underrated album, I know that's a little out of your range f his age, But I think "Off The Wall" was his best album. I love MJ, and I like that you compared him to Grace, They have more similarities than some would want to admit. I'd have to say my era ends at off the wall. I do not think, outside of "Billy Jean" there was nothing that matched his earlier work....
I agree that "Off the Wall" was underrated -- possibly because it was more "dancy". But it has got some seriously cool songs, especially "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" and "Rock With You." My girlfriend at the time and I would go out dancing and ALWAYS dance to those two songs. I'll be doing reactions to those two sometime soon, I imagine.
