The most famous person to ever live, possibly.
If you like this rock sound by Michael Jackson, then 'Give in to Me' is an absolute MUST! It's my all time favourite Michael Jackson song. MJ + Slash = PERFECTION!!
This is my fave rock song from MJ, Slash is phenomenal on this one.
Dangerous is my absolute favorite album
Probably my favorite song ever!
I confirm
Beat me to it. Give into me is my favorite from him
he did a concert for princess diana and took this song off the list of songs he was going to sing out of respect for her she found out and told him oh you have to sing it
He did end up singing it at the show
The English monarchy has grown fat and wealthy off the backs of British people for over a thousand years.
They have never truly suffered
@@penderyn8794not anything near as rich as the British monarchy has
If the concert was for her in the first place what would be the point of putting it on the list and then taking it off?
The concert wasn't for her. He was on tour and being friends with her, when he saw her before the show she asked him if he was going to do the song. He told her no, that he took it off the list out of respect for her since he knew she was going to be there. She then replied that it was her favorite song.
If you weren't around when MJ was at his peak, you wouldn't understand how huge he was. The crowds that gathered around him were tremendous. Like when the Pope makes an appearance. It was insane.
After the success of the Thriller album MJ was one of the most famous people on earth. EASILY. LOL. Everything he did back then was written about, talked about,etc,etc,..being THAT famous isn't the greatest thing tho. IMHO.
U could go to the desert and the sand people we say MiKAael Jackson the Eskimos de same no other musician has even gotten close to dat till date
Definitely
@@lexislems1773 FACTS...people in remote villages with no running water knew who the man was. That's an insane level of popularity that will never be reached again.
He has been dead for 15 years and I would say he is still one of the most famous people on earth lol@@user-be7tc2bd6e
Michael WROTE, Co Produced, and Arranged this song!
Alot of folks dont like to give MJ credit as a producer and writer and just think he was a song and dance man, but he wrote and co produced ALOT of his hits!
Exactly!!! It sadly only goes to prince and I'm so sick and tired of hearing about it to be honest 😤
Not only that...but sometimes he was creating a song the other way around..i mean he was creating first the basic rhythm/music and then he was writing the lyrics to fit on the music he listened on his head..now that's something really tricky to do and for sure not so easy as to write the lyrics first and then the music...
Not cause I am a fun of him, but the man really had a lot of talent...
Michael Jackson was a genius he's THE GOAT 👑🔥👽
@Akumaten1 don't forget he also directed some of his own videos too
@@tfeinsanity3294 absolute facts. Such as blood on the dance floor 😍🙌🏽✨️❤️💃👑🩸
I never wanna hear anybody compare anybody to MJ. This man was a STAR n his performances were GOD TIER!
Oh there's people who say Taylor Swift is a deity
Absolutely. Not one person comes close.
I agree!!!
I cannot imagine not having Michael’s music in my life, he’s definitely my favorite artist of all time. It was said this video was a live concert/performance. Him & Princess Diana were good friends, and she said this was her favorite song of his. Michael at the time didn’t perform it when she was in the crowd out of respect, he didn’t know she loved that song. Come Together or Give in to me are records that have a similar vibe if you like this kind of style from MJ.
He did perform it. The ahow was at Wembley 1988 where he met with her and Prince Charles before the concert started. The full concert is available, including the performance of this song.
"Remember The Time"...is such a stellar song. Dancing was amazing. Visually amazing!
And Eddie Murphy is in the video. 😊
He looked so BADass in this video, imho the best he ever looked. Back in the days in the Netherlands many of us had the Thriller leather jacket and I went the extra mile to grow my hair just like MJ, specific the Dirty Diana look. MJ never dies!
His first performance of the moonwalk was a live performance of Billy Jean. When he made the Dirty Diana video, I was in one of the audiences that watched him perform live. He was making the video for his Moonwalker Video. Seeking perfection, Michael performed this song about four times for three different audiences. Each audience has to watch him perform for about six hours each. He wanted to record the audience that cheered the loudest. Every time he finished singing the song, he had to change his ripped shirt, rest, and freshen up to do it all over again. He gave every member in each audience the first release of the Dirty Diana CD. I still have my CD.
Oh wow, I did not know that I have always loved this song and video thank you for sharing.
That is absolutely amazing!! I bet that was phenomenal to see him perform live
One of the greatest singers of all time! RIP MJ!
Is
But the GREATEST ENTERTAINER103%!
Not the greatest singer but the great entertainer of all time. He’s not praised for his singing but who he is as an entertainer…
@@cynthiamckinney4276 wrong, he is praised for his singing
He is a ⭐️! RIP
King of Pop. Period.
What MJ went through is absolutely horrifying. I think if you dive more into his story you’ll get to find out that he was massively framed throughout his life - started as soon as he bought the Beatles catalogue in 1985. He has an Album called HIStory which is pretty personal! He was fed up and exposed a lot of things - you’d be VERY surprised! It includes a feature with Biggie, A track against Santa Barbara district attorney Tom Sneddon, a Song about little Susie, A diss track against the Media/Tabloids, a very emotional track about nature and the earth, a song with his sister Janet about how tired he is, a track about him feeling alone and isolated as well as you are not alone which was the first track ever to debut at #1 in 1995 and so on.. 99% of the negative stories you hear about Michael Jackson are 100% not true. Much love from Germany, huge MJ Fan here - love your reactions!! 🫶🏼
For sure agree 100%
Agreed! He really poured out his heart and frustrations on that HIStory album. It’s criminally underrated
Freak
Very well said!
I Love mikael Jecksson....2024 dst...selamannya...
MJ Human nature is a must. Easily one of he's most underrated
Absolutely!!!
My favorite MJ song.
Right! Lady in my life is probably the most beautiful song he’s ever written. It’s an absolute MUST!
Underrated? It’s one of the four biggest songs, on the MOST sold album of all time. How is that underrated?
The next Michael Jackson song u need to do is “Scream”. The song is about his frustrations about the allegations. He is very aggressive and pissed off in the song. I freaking love that song
Steve Stevens was the shredder on guitar, he was Billy Idol's guitarist and he's amazing.
YESSSS!!! Love him !!
He of the super poofy hair.
He still is Billy's guitarist. They still tour together.
Billy Idol New album in october !!!
I met him many years ago in Reno NV. Very nice guy.
Michael Jackson is loved by everyone, from classical musicians to heavy metalheads. He dominated every genre.
I am blessed to say that my generation experienced him from when he was with the Jackson 5. There was No ONE singing or dancing like him then or since. Genius level.
It is impossible to imagine what this genius had to go through, being such a kind, sensitive and vulnerable person. His beauty, his charm, his soul, his personality are a gift to a world that does not deserve it. His music is timeless. No one will be able to come close to his legacy. It is sad to realize how cruel the world has been and is
MJ made the first Super Bowl performance. It was the best one yet!
MJ will always be the GOAT
Micheal in the 80s was huge, there wasn't nowhere you could go without hearing about him.
Michael said himself in an interview this song is about crazy groupies lol (obsessed girls who hang around concerts, backstage, etc) so you are totally right!! Poor Michael even had to deal with a stalker for YEARS
It was about Diana Ross before she made it big. He said it himself, and Ross admits it.
@@williamyates694 lmaoo he never said that but if you want to believe that go right ahead 🤷♀️
@@sophiaamancioo22 Yes he did lol!!! You don't know your stuff very well. Later!!!
@@williamyates694he literally said himself in many interviews that it was about groupies but apparently according to you what he said from his own mouth is wrong? You just want to believe that for no reason, is it that hard to believe he had MANY obsessed girls following and bothering him??
@@sophiaamancioo22 yep! Janet even talked about the song when he told her about what he was writing. Lol!!! WOW!!! Not hard to believe he had ANYONE following him around, but people in his circle talked about it. Diana herself admitted to following around stars and giving "favors" to get a break in the business. 🥴
They said he couldn't rock and this is his answer. Song writing mastery with amazing vocals.
May 16th 1983 while performing Billie Jean at the Motown 25 show. MJ always has and always will be my number 1 singer. I was born in 81 so his music was a huge part of my childhood and life. It's hard to explain really but even though I never met him and was never lucky enough to see him perform live, he felt like more than just my favourite singer/performer, he was a friend. It was like he spoke directly to his fans in a way so few can. The day he passed I cried so much. Love and miss you MJ
All facts! Love Michael 💯💯💯💯🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This Man Was a Genius 100%, Untouchable as a Dancer and Performer, I Seperate All The Stories and Rumours About Michael Jackson From His Music, I've Always Loved MJ and His Music and Will Never Stop Listening To His Music, RIP Michael Jackson 😥🙏.
This is my favorite MJ song. Steve Stevens is always 🔥 on the guitar.
I wish he would have made a lot more like this.
I get sad when I hear that people just didn’t listen to MJ, but I sure am happy to see people react to first time listens of a song!! This is my favorite of his!! Thanks for reacting to it!
prejudice is a cancer, they don't deserve the greatest talent ever
There was that debate in the 80's to know who's the best between Prince and MJ.
Prince was a genius, a beast on stage and a complete artist, but Michael was a sorcerer, the minute he started to sing you were bewitched.
OHH! yea, a superstar! Nobody has ever come close.
It has been a long fifteen years since Mike left us. He changed the World and music. Now, the real Michael Jackson to me was when he was with his brothers, now that's the real Michael. This song is a classic, he loved every genre of music. He grew up singing country songs, and had a record deal with Steeltown Records along with his brothers when he was only eight. Mike was just different, the greatest entertainer of all time
His music and dance moves are what made him stand out from his brothers. Also, this is not a video. It is a live performance. His performances were amazing.
MJ stood out as the composer of this song. This and Smooth Criminal are two of the best he wrote and composed.
The Way You Make Me Feel would be a great reaction. The music video is amazing.
"She said he's not coming back, because he's sleeping with me!" is the most lyrics ever! 😂 The words, the plot twist, the drama, the delivery - everything's top notch!
This was a staged video, but if I remember correctly this was filmed while he was already on tour, so there was no time for elaborate production and the woman in the video is Sheryl Crow, who was one of his back-up vocals on tour.
man Michael could move!!
Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror It's very good aswell
That moonwalk is a tricky question. He performed it live on Motown 25 in early 83. I remember because our parents let us stay up to watch even though later i realized it was pre recorded. Thing is he actually did it a James Brown show live later in 1983. James invited him onstage as he was in crowd. There is a great video of it on RUclips
Speaking of Van Halen, you should check out Michael Jackson Beat it video. The song contains a guitar solo by the late great Eddie Van Halen.
Hip hop artists love Michael Jackson.
Yeah! I would love to see you guys go down the vast Michael Jackson rabbit whole. There is so many reasons to love and enjoy his creativity, regardless of what many haters say and want us to believe.
He was simply one of the most entertaining and talented people of all time, across all generations. R.I.P MJ. Your legacy rages strong... thank you.
Far and away the best song ever by MJ. He had the ability to cross genres whenever he wanted. I wish he would have done it more.
His most attractive era!
And my personal favorite track by him❤❤
The best story about this song is while performing where Princess Diana would be, he took this song out to not offend her. Princess Diana was disappointed because this was her favorite song.
You really had to be on his timeline. It was a great time. Everyone around the world couldn't get enough..
If you like this gritty sound I'd recommend 'Blood on the Dance Floor.' And 'Scream' with his sister Janet.
I think the weekend is literally studying Michael Jackson's playbook, and I love it. The dirty diana cover is quite good. No one will ever replace Michael jackson, but if an artist can appreciate the true visual and artistic nature of MJ, I'll definitely tune into see. Michael once said, "Never stop studying the greats," and it's obvious the weekend studies, jackson.. btw good reaction 👍
Oh BTW it's a staged concert just like give into me.
This poor guy was robbed of his childhood ..king of pop for sure .He was really treated so bad for so long ..Innocent man ..
Mike got nothing but timeless classics this would be a banger today.
Didn't expect? The guitar in Beat it is by Eddie Van Halen. In Black or White it was made by Slash. Michael really loved rock.
One of his best music videos is Remember The Time. Epic on the scale of Thriller and had Eddie Murphy, Imam ( David Bowie's wife) and Magic Johnson (the basketball player) in it.
Michael Jackson performed his iconic moonwalk on March 25 , 1983 during his performance at the Motown 25. I was 15 and it completely blew everyone away. Even Gene. Kelly called him and told him that he had just created history with his performance and said that it was the most incredible thing that he had ever seen!!!
I remember watching that tv special and it was totally awesome!🤩🤩
There are so many beautiful songs you guys should listen to of MJ
Man in the mirror
Who is it
Give in to me
Childhood
Speechless
Will you be there.
Yes Motown 1983 ! We all tried to moonwalk❤😂
MJ THE LAST GLOBAL LEGEND WITH HIS OWN SIGNATURE, STYLE, DANCE, MUSIC.....ALL BEFORE INTERNET, SOCIAL MEDIA ETC..... SAD PART IS THEY BRING HIM DOWN FOR HATE....IN MY OPINION HE WAS TO PURE FOR THIS BROKEN WORLD.
I GREW UP WITH HIM AND SEE HIM GROWING FROM THRILLER TO HIS END.....1 OF A KIND
You can always tell when MJ has written the song because he loses his temper. 😂 mainly at the end of the song. He starts fuming and going on a mad one with his vocals. Work of art. Can’t be replicated. EVER
Check out "Give in to me" by MJ. You gonna love it and it sounds like this.
Steve Stevens🤘This is my favourite MJ performance. It's cool and different. So glad I got to be a teen and young adult in the 80s. Had the best music. No social media cancer. No helicopter parents tracking my every move. What a time to be young. Also, we had the best hair 😂
I saw him live in Gothenburg 88, it was MAGIC!
I saw MJ in concert in 1993,the only time he visited my country,Argentina,at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires with the Dangerous Tour. The thing about his shows was that they were a complete spectacle, not just someone performing songs,he was also a phenomenal dancer, accompanied by other dancing phenomena and with a tight band with some of the best musicians you could find. It was a powerful and emotional show in many ways, coupled with the incomparable charisma of the King of Pop. He would bring fans on stage and they would really lost control. No one will ever be able to replace him.
¡Que envidiaaaaa! Saludos a los Argentinos❤
@@euniceaguilar2140 saludos!🖐
My son is 6 he knows who MJ is and I bet many kids do know him even if it wasn’t in your generation most people know of him ,he was magic in every way and tha’s why his music crossed generations and continues to,maybe that’s why it’s so hard to believe that you didn’t know much of thriller
You should watch his Beatles cover of "Come Together". Classic!
That shi way better than the original
Michael Jackson was so iconic, he was and forever will be a Legend. I hate it when people say things about how something is fake because they think everyone has to have seen something but all people are different and from different places or life styles. I'm just happy to see you guy enjoy MJ. I found out about MJ when he passed away in 2009. I was 11 and until that day I had thought he was 1 of 3 Michael Jackson's lol, turned out he was all 3. So the day I fell in love with MJ, was sadly the day he died. - If you like the feel of Dirty Diana then check out the song and music video for the Beatles cover he did for *Come Together*, it kinda had the same feel. Great reaction guys!
There's an MJ Biopic coming out in April of 2025 directed by Antoine Fuqua. Who did Training Day, End of Watch, The Equalizer. Just a few classics too mention. Jackie Jackson's son, Jafar, is going to play Michael for most of the movie.
All you MJ fans out there!!! Stay tuned!!!!
He died when I was 15 or so , and it’s just now when I’m 30 I kinda rediscovered his music. I wish he was still here , to know he is out there alive… did not appreciate it back in my teen years. Anyways , thank God for YT and all those amazing clips I can play on repeat ❤
You really need to watch his video the official music video for The Earth Song by Michael Jackson. So powerful. It was almost like he was predicting the future. Really moving. Check it out. By far one of his best songs.
Michael Jackson truly transcended generations. I’m born in 95 and still became a big fan of Mike, through my pop’s side (mainly my grandmama). She has real original vinyls. She would play the temptations’ Christmas album every Christmas for me and my cousins . But she put us onto so much. Especially Michael. I still remember the sad day he left. 2009 summer time. I had just came out of the theaters with my parents, from watching transformers: revenge of the fallen. My mama yelped out “oh my god! Michael Jackson diied”😂. Not funny but I really remember that day like Yesterday. Just like I remember “September” at 5 or 6 🤦🏾♂️🙏🏾.
Great explanation how public opinion shaped trough media and sheer enjoyment of tearing down such icons. I glad you are so open minded and give him a chance. I hope you'll do so much more. For example "Bad" full version is probably Michaels best acting, chills. Chills.
What a Great Reaction; Would Love to see You React to Michael Jackson Superbowl performance; I think You would Love it .🔥🔥🔥
The word GOAT was invented for MJ
Stranger In Moscow, one of the greatest songs and videos ever . I am enjoying your MJ reactions :-)
Steve Steven’s plays a little sequence with a nod to the guitar work in “beat it” at the end… so cool
There are so many great songs by M.J. but this one hit me hard since the first time I heard it :) I just love the feel of it.
Another mini movie MJ did was “Ghost”, recorded in 1996. It took me back to the Thriller video. It’s over 25 mins long. Another good Halloween treat!
I'm 65 so I knew him as I kid. I liked the Osmonds. I like his older song man in the mirror.
This song, "Dirty Diana" is not a cover song, this is a Michael Jackson original song, the song he did that was a cover was when he did the song "come together" by The Beatles
More Micheal Please!
MJ, rest in peace king music lives on forever
If you do "Beat it" listen closely to the guitar solo because Eddie Van Halen wrote and performed it on the song. And he was not paid anything for it!!!!😮😮😮
The guitar player is Steve Stevens from Billy Idol"s band.
Michael Jackson's first performed moonwalk in 1983
Thank you for the first 6mins you gave us to explain about how both of you discovered MJ's music. I can totally relate to it-- I think I was about 15yo when Michael died. I always knew the name Michael Jackson and heard his classics, but there were really none in my surroundings who were totally big fans of him so I never really understand how big he was, as internet was still limited. My parents listen to his musics in the 70s when he was still in the Jackson 5 and during Off The Wall album. I was exposed to his earlier musics in those days but not afterwards. So in the early 2000s until his death, whenever the name Michael Jackson came up in media, I remember it was never really a good thing about him. They called him wacko jacko and it was just about (mostly) his trials at the time. My parents were not like, a big big fan, but I remember they sympathized so much about what happened with him. But I don't know why, I just never thought to dig more about him, probably I was into something else at the time, and I was just being indifferent because how the media portrayed him as this "weird guy" (which is very rude).
That-- until he died in 2009. I remember watching his memorial service with my family on TV (it was live on every national tv channel in my country at that time). I remember my mom said this when we watched the service, "Now, that is the King of Pop. Nobody will ever do the same like he did." And the next day, I sat in front of my computer, went on RUclips and discovered Thriller for the first time. That-- until now, as I discovered more and more about his musics, his legacy, his talents, his humanity; make me think that no entertainer can do it like Michael, ever again.
People misunderstood him very much just because he 'looked diffferent' and mysterious. Even any artists today would kill for privacy. And as an enjoyer of arts, I don't think it's our business to know about the artists' private lives. Anyway, in Michael's case, I know he was innocent for all the charges being charged to him at the time and will always be. Of course he had flaws, he's just human after all, but I think what we can do now is to learn from what has happened and don't let things like that happen again in today's generation. MJ is a legend and forever will be missed 💛
P.S. Sorry for the long comment (I think this is my first time leaving a comment this long in someone's youtube channel 😂) However, love your reaction and yes, react to more MJ, please! 👑
I remember watching this on MTV (back when it was good) and everyone at school just lost their minds haha.
"Off the wall" album is excellent. The last album for the jackson 5 was "Destiny"....GREAT LISTEN.
You have to see his “smooth criminal”. Michael Jackson was known for not only being the king of pop for his music but for his videos. They were masterpieces. Smooth criminal has a true movie video that went with his moonwalker film and it’s one of my personal favourites.
Watch give in to me .
The guitar player I believe is Steve Stevens (the long time guitarist for Billy Idol).
And you are correct about his life story. Back in those days he was unfairly "smeared" by practically everyone and it's really sad.
Nice reaction! ✌️😐
This is my absolute favorite MJ song. I love that Steve Steven played on this track.
You need to watch some of the Jackson 5 videos when MJ was a little kid
The moonwalk was first performed by Adalberto Ramirez "Resortes" in Mexico 1950, 5 years before Bill Bailly and 33 years before Michael Jackson performed it. There was a sould train dancer that also performed it. Michael Jackson pretty much introduced it to the world. Michael was known for watching old movies and musicals. Smooth criminal had a lot of dance moves from an old Fred Astaire movie called The Band wagon(1953)
It was the 1983 Music Awards! I was lying on the floor in front of the TV watching it.
15:28 and 15:48 cmon man, as a kid of the 80s when he went on tippy toes is just absolutely iconic and surreal MJ no one before or after did that and it doesn't get the credit it deserves. I've said it a million times if MJ was still alive and he announced a tour at same time as all the current best, he would outsell them quicker and make the current lot look silly...let's not forget at 50 years old he sold those 02 tickets in a couple hours getting him a further 3 Guinness records. Just announcing those shows was prime time BREAKING NEWS. Imagine his impact was so huge that no artist has even reached a third of it, even now.
That's some rockstar shit right there. 🤟
I love the rock side of Michael!
Check Michael,s live performance of this song on Wembley 88. His rock voice live, the way that he is singing this ,,story,, is changing the sense of the recorded song. Its like raw passion unleashed. If you want to see and feel and appreciate him more, check the tours esp the Bad tour. Thanks
Thanks for being so honest and telling your story with MJ! Michael did so many styles ... you might like GIVE IN TO ME featuring SLASH!
Michael Jacksons bad boy era
Come together is a brilliant song aswel... Also Ghost it's a great dance video like a full story.
This is prolly my fav song from him. Thank you
