Half Turkish Half Danish here. I grew up in both London and Denmark. I'm conflicted with having a Danish father who's like: "Women are equal. Treat them with respect." to my Turkish mother who tells me, "Treat a woman like a Princess...that's all you'll ever need." And then 5 minutes later, I see my dad just agreeing to everything my mum would say and I'm like, "Sure...Bloody equal my ass." Hahaha.

I love Istanbul I have been there 3 times and I recognized all the places there, and yes, Turkish men really are like Greek men of my country, and that was so cute to watch! Merhaba ve çok güzel video!
This is sooo like the turkish guy I've been talking to. Yes he's very jealous and possessive but also protective. He's a gentleman. And about being assertive, I have no problem. He likes me for knowing what I want. I always tell him how I feel and what's on my mind. Yet he never changes. He is always kind to me. Very patient. Very emotionally open and honest. And sweet. I'd love to have a turkish boyfriend. I don't know the part about being a mama's boy yet. But he doesn't know how to cook much. And his mom does his laundry. He's 22. 😂 being family oriented, that's a good factor. I'm also family oriented.
I've been talking with a guy with these characters he's Turkish and is soooooo cute yeah Turkish men are a gentleman & his name is abdussamed :3 he has 22 too and loves literature
😂😂😂 If my Turkish husband had been like this I would never have married him. But I’ve certainly seen some of these stereotypes in my friends’ husbands and boyfriends.
lol the fact is most Turkish men get to marry a lot of foreigners, and most Turkish women who go abroad end up being dumped. Men they find are from rock tour attenders. LOL. It is true that Turkish women are hard to get in Turkey by Turkish men but Turkish men do way better outside than Turkish women.
@@mesopotamiankurdishgirl6340 not really, it's because turkish women are believed, propagandized to believe that Turkish men are somehow macho, inadequate. Those are actually necessary qualities in men that a lot of foreigners want.
Me too. 😭😍 I went there just to see my friends and didn't care about the country or know anything. And I only went for 3 days and I left almost ready to cry because the country stole my heart. Mind you I had been living in Italy for a year and no place stole my heart the way Turkey did. 😍
I dated a Turkish guy that I met in the U.S. and he never talked about taking our relationship to the next level right away. I will say that if you attract the attention of a Turkish man, he'll stare right at you like full on! Don't think you have something on your face! lol
It's because now it's a famous thing and guys are talking here like "Broooo don't say your future plans, she won't show up again if you say something about 2052, remember that, stick to the plan, go step by step" etc. hahah Actually it's literally a litmus paper. You can ask to him "What do you think about future?" and If he starts to talk at length, or if he's hesitant, he likes you. But if he says he has never thought about it, he is less likely to love you. Life in Turkey is hard so it's normal.
I had Relationship with a Turkish guy for 14 year's.. He promised to marry me and never did.. I had to do all the expenses on him very lazy toxic and Narcissist but i don't understand why i Loved him so much... We worked together in the middle East... Due to his visa issues he had to return to turkey... And i sent him money to buy a phone so we could be in contact and see each other on video.. He took the phone and never called me i called him i messaged him.. Never he responded.. I gave him 3 months chance to call me.. But he never did... I Blocked him after that.. And he didn't block me ... He always has done it to me..one thing i can guess that his cheating on me..i asked him if i could come to turkey with my money my savings he told me don't come... He promised to come for me but he never did... He was from Antakya his family knew the Relationship.. After that i met another guy Turkish also... Omg this guy was always asking me money i gave him a few times.. But later he was going over the limit...getting in to a habit... I cut him out too... and i told him that i am not the Bank.. Never again Turkish men... Lessons learnt.. I dogged a Bullet... If Right a cannon ball... No more...

Yes, I remembered those times when I missed calls from my Turks bf. He furiously asked me where I go, why I'm not answering and why I dress nice on certain occasion since we usually face time each other. When I asked him the same questions, he just said I don't know! lol, he can ask million questions to me, but if I ask questions he'll just get mad, or say I don't know or just ignore me.
@@nevergiveup9937 yes, you're so right. I need to let him go and learned from it. He's back in Turkey, but yesterday he called me and just being a jerk.
I would like to share some things. In my personal experience, Turkish men are straightforward people and really friendly. If a Turkish man likes you, he will tell it straight to your face 😂 I admire the confidence and they are like, really sweet when they talk. BUT you have to accept their feelings quickly or they will lose their interest in you. Im a Filipina and in my country, courtship is very important (but it also depends on the personality). Some women in the Philippines feel pressured to marry at age 22+. Im 24 and at this age, all I can think of is building myself and getting stable so dating doesnt work for me. I dont really like possesive and really jealous men (jealousy is fine but some are exaggerated) so it becomes my total turn off for Turkish guys. To me, men is a luxury but not a necessity. I can live without men but I value them like precious gems. What I meant by that is that I didnt study for four years to be a housewife. I want to earn my own money to get my man stuffs he might like. But I will make sure my man is one of my top priorities I will take care of him. We may split the bills but I will treat him a simple dessert or something before the day ends. Im that kind of person. The Turkish man I know didnt understand this. The culture is also a huge factor. I respect his culture though Ive never been to his country. But the Turkish man cant get used to the differences regardless of having to live here for few years. All I want is whats best for the relationship. Im not the kind to easily fall for a man and Im serious about priorities so Im not the kind to cheat. But in general, Turkish men are sweet and kind people ❤ Maybe just not for me
@@trinity4827 you're on point! Also one of the reasons men feel superior is because they are the ones that pays for everything. I cannot afford to live a lifestyle where I am being controlled. Love is a feeling of wanting to be together, missing each other, and the moment you got into a relationship you've already decided to trust the person. Most people dont understand this. Ive met different men and because of my strong personality they feel intimidated. They shouldve known that before dating me and not just disappearing. Im giving my all anyway
my boyfriend is turkish, i am german, despite the language barrier, (he's getting better and better, so do i try my best to learn turkish), there were a lot of things I wasn't used to xD for example he NEVER lets me pay. And hours of videochat. With all of his family. Which there are his parents, his two brothers, two sisters, his nieces, nephews, cousins, and so on. And presents! he doesn't get tired of it, and he loves surprising my sisters and my mother aswell. Talking from my mother, he calls her kaynana since our first week of dating. When i explained it, she was so surprised, i thougt she had a heart attack. another thing: The eyes. the eyelashes. I've never seen any turkish man or woman who didn't have amazing eyes. And the constant need of attention. Cute, very cute, but don't tell him it's cute, or else he gets salty because, he's a man. xD Aaah i could go on like this forever but guess what, someone wants attention
@Anime Kızı funny that you're asking. Seems like i learned a bit more about him. I broke up with him 1 week ago. Especially the part about "Turkish mom and son" was awesome. Thanks for providing this video so that i had the chance to watch myself on the screen 😂😂
@G T you're totally right (I'm arab myself) but trust me turkish men take it into a whoooole other level, my ex used to have food ON HIS BED or his desk aaaaall the time and expected me to do the same...they get offended out of the silliest things and they loooooove to give orders as to what to wear and when to go and not go out ... he even told me that once we get married I'm not allowed to go out without him.or his mom ...it's too much ...just too much ...and as I said I'm arab so I'm used to toxic masculanity...but not to this level
I'd watch out a bit. It's a society where family, i.e. the man's parents, have quite an influence on him where you'd think he was old enough to be an independent adult. When your mother in-law disapproves of something you do, you may get no support at all from your husband and even feel pressure from him to conform. They are also so male-dominated it shocks me. Men don't help, they don't clean and only cook when it suits them. I am married to a Turkish wife so I get the easy side of this situation and I can try to make sure my daughter is brought up to expect better things from men but I think it would be much harder if I was a woman. Are all Turkish men like this? Probably not - but Turkish society favors this behaviour more, I think, than I am used to. My mother in law is greatly admired for earning most of the money and "not being a slacker in the home either" which shows you what's expected. First you have to be all the things a woman is supposed to be then you can have a career on top of that maybe.
t43562 Yes, its so annoying. I almost left my husband because of that. Its too much to handle in the begining because they want to treat you like they treat their son. Control, control and supervision. You constantly have to tell them to back off and mind their own business. It can be exhausting.
Same. My Turkish wife's family tries to influence us (circumcision, employment etc) and I've learned I have to be aggressive in asserting my cultural values in a way I haven't needed to (considering we live in a Western country) to ensure I dont get trampled on. They are mad for a month then they get over it.
@Jeremiah Atwood I did. I was baptised Roman Catholic and now I'm probably something that a Muslim would consider to be worse: an Atheist. There are hundreds of millions of Muslims and they're not all the same just like Christians aren't all weirdos with guns or Mormons.
Uhhmmmm ... as someone who knows MANY Turkish men I can't say I agree to all this. But they are a bunch of softies that is true - but you have to earn their trust before they show this side, earning a Turkish man's trust is hard but once earned ... you get see the magical side of a Turkish man. Softies !!!

There are different types of men from different social classes. But being a softie to the girls they trust (mostly to their wives), dote upon their mother or their family, compliments and expressing the feelings openly from the very beginning, being obsessive and protective, being excessively jealous when your dress is a bit sexy is standart for a Turkish man.
So glad you finally made a video about turkish men, can you please add Azeri man they are so easy going if you go to Baku by the end of one day you will collect countless phone numbers of guys who want to make you visit their country or see you.... they remind me a bit turkish men. First of all don't turn this into a religion fight, second man's behavior ussually depents on the location ,there are so many different region with so many different tradition in turkey (and of course it depents on the person)
This is exactly the reason I keep my nationality to myself. Whenever I engage a girl and it's going well and I tell her that I'm Turkish she goes back to the time last year where some Turkish guy proposed to her in a night club.. and my whole image is ruined
Oh! This thing about turning girlfriends into moms...I don't like it in our cultures (I'm Greek). I would like the couple to be equal: whoever gets hungry, cooks! Both should do housework!
I generally agree unless one of the couple doesn't work, then that person should at least do the household chores. p.s I like to cook, I'm Turkish. My Romanian ex once told me she loved my cooking but didn't like that I cooked so often because she felt that was a woman's job .... I mean she also told me she wasn't looking for a serious relationship the first day she stayed over then 3 days later told everyone we knew that she was my gf (without EVER bringing the subject up to me). 3 days later she was talking about baby names, marriage, converting to Islam (despite the fact that I made it very clear I'm not religious, nor do I care about such stuff, she was convinced I was secretly Muslim lol). Oh... and she said she HATED jealousy. Ok, I'm generally not a very jealous dude. But then she got really mad at me multiple times because she felt I wasn't jealous enough. She was also absurdly jealous. A female friend of mine would send me a whatsapp asking how I was doing, and she'd start to hysterically cry and scream at me like she just caught me with my pants around my ankles and a girl wrapped around me. My point is, there are all kinds of people. Not all Turkish, Greek, Romanian etc men or women are the same. And some women are more fierce in defending traditional male/female roles than the most sexist men.
Everyone who commented already and everyone who is going to comment.... Pay attention to the disclaimer at the front of the video. I'll just leave that here.
There are million kind of men in Turkey but yes we are respect our family , mother , nationality, and we are really warm heart and friendly. we always help forainers even if we can not speak English :) Sometimes we are very nationalist but if we forget the politics we love everybody . Some of these comments really disgust me. Yeah there are bad and good people the fact that they dated one Turkish person with bad personality doesn't make all of them like that, it's the same with other countries and all there are good and bad people with good and bad personalities.

I think that depending on the type of environment they come from, their attitude can differ a lot! There could almost be two totally different videos made. As a Turkish woman from Istanbul (Kadiköy), I was shocked when I dated a Turkish guy from Anatolia. As a matter of fact, for his family, I was "worse" than a European. Huge difference in culture. The men I know who grew up and were raised in my part of Istanbul are much more distant at first, they have no problem in going out with a woman in a short dress who loves spending the summer in a tiny bikini, go out a lot, party... it's two totally different cultures in the same country!

I have been with my Turkish husband for 20 years (2 kids later) and I know this is to be taken light heartedly but it depends on the individual despite the nationality. Thankfully my husband isn't like this lol

There were other words but that's what I got.Since then everytime when we talk I want someone near him ask or talk to him so I enjoy the Turkish language he speaks😍 it is soo beautiful and hot😁🌹🌹🌹
Omg that is so true:) as a french woman married to a turkish man; Turkish men love dreaming about future, talking about future kids and marriage compare to European men. They are really jealous, they love football and they are always hungry:)) and they act like 5 years old when they are sick :)) but they do anything to make their women happy...every woman needs to date with a Turkish man to feel like she is the only one (but marriage is whole different thing, they dont like to involve housework like cleaning the house or cooking etc. They only help if they want to or if you ask them to help like 100 times:)) )
@Dating Beyond Borders I think that is generalization of 1 type of Turkish men. There are around 4-5 types. Not all Turks watch football. Not all Turks approach women aggresively. People around Sultanahmet and/or Taksim does than go to Kadıköy, Bostancı district (Traders, Low Education People from area so on) Not all Turks are Mamas boy Not all Turks are possesive. Some Turks don't even care what do you do as long as you don't cheat or dance with others. Not all Turks short/long time planners. Turks are jealous. Some western Turks are less. Turks do watch Soap Operas. Others watch American shows. Turks like cooking and good food. Just like French do. They expect the same from their partner. Turks are approachable. Talkative and warm blooded. Warm blood means : Less suicide, Less Depression, Less Book Readers, More Aggresive, More Open, More Welcoming , Problem Solvers most of the time, Good at high pressure situations, Good at fast thinking in limitted time, Bad Focus on challenging problems(Like relationships or Nasa).
I think that kind of act who played Turkish man does not represent all Turkish men. Its exaggerated too much about the jealousy and caring. Maybe if It was filmed decades ago I'd say thats a true story but everything has changed through the new generation!!

I dated a Turkish guy that I met in the U.S. and he never talked about taking our relationship to the next level right away. I will say that if you attract the attention of a Turkish man, he'll stare right at you like full on! Don't think you have something on your face! lol
@Adventure of World No I'm not. We broke up a long time ago.
It's because now it's a famous thing and guys are talking here like "Broooo don't say your future plans, she won't show up again if you say something about 2052, remember that, stick to the plan, go step by step" etc. hahah
Actually it's literally a litmus paper.
No more...

But in general, Turkish men are sweet and kind people ❤ Maybe just not for me
True!!!!!!!!

"Turkish wife" is you're wife a Muslim? If yes when did you convert to Islam? :)
@@mari_000 he doesn't need to convert to Islam to marry a Turkish woman

Oh! This thing about turning girlfriends into moms...I don't like it in our cultures (I'm Greek). I would like the couple to be equal: whoever gets hungry, cooks! Both should do housework!
I generally agree unless one of the couple doesn't work, then that person should at least do the household chores.
p.s
I like to cook, I'm Turkish.

We can test this. Do you watch bulldozers in a construction site? Like you're walking down town and stop by and started to watch them?
@@quackquack7595 lmfao it will be actually a %100 accurate test 😂😂
@@quackquack7595 As an European born Turkish i catch myself doing this aswell lol.
When they do Turkish women and nobody hates that but when it comes to Turkish men everyone seems to get pissed off.
Turkish women evde oturup çekirdek mi yiyor, kocasına isteyerek kahvaltı mı hazırlıyor Amerikalarda?
Because it's a sexist culture!!
They teach women to be submissive and obey their husbands, and teach men to be dominant machos
@@edithmonge1884 Nah it's not. You are just ignorant.
@@edithmonge1884 machos? Tú no has visto machos en tu vida señorita. You have no faintest idea about our culture.
@Piemento 22 pimiento ni puta idea. You don't have any idea about Turkish culture.
I had to giggle a little when he made big future plans in the early stages of dating. I'm turkish and my boyfriend is half dutch half Greek. Turks want to jump into marriage immediately while dutch are the opposite.

Theres something else, My Turkish father and hes friend were at a restaurant after we ate our food they both started rushing to the checkout because they wanted pay for each other and started a whole conflict. Turkish peopole always want to pay the bill for the other out of kindness.
If they can afford it all right....
I am not from Turkey. And I have a really nice friend from Turkey ).We chat once a week via audio/video calls. It is so fun to talk because I help him with Russian sometimes, but usually we talk in English, and when the words are gone we start use our own languages and after start guessing each other's words😁.Once, while talking someone had called him and he said something like "okay...now I'll go" in Turkish.

Bonjour, I am Turkish man and I have a French girlfriend. She is the most beautiful girl in the world.
chuck martin bonjour Chuck! Oh, I am happy for you and your girlfriend is so lucky! I hope you will have a happy future like me and my husband!!
@@celinez.1129 Merci beaucoup!
Finally found a fair comment from a foreign lady : )
İ hope youre life good with him maybe someday you will become good family
@Dating Beyond Borders I think that is generalization of 1 type of Turkish men. There are around 4-5 types.
Not all Turks watch football.
Not all Turks approach women aggresively. People around Sultanahmet and/or Taksim does than go to Kadıköy, Bostancı district (Traders, Low Education People from area so on)
Not all Turks are Mamas boy
Not all Turks are possesive.

Do about Balkan man or women !
@melisal 35 no they are not :D I live on balkan too :D
@melisal 35 Montenegro lol
So you dont know nothing about Turkish people and their culture.. look at the map.. and city..
Turkey is in the Balkans.
Greece and Turkey are both in the Balkans. But yes they should do about slavs especially like Serbia and Croatia
"How can Sena die" Cukur really hit us hard..
This was really good!!!!
I think that kind of act who played Turkish man does not represent all Turkish men. Its exaggerated too much about the jealousy and caring. Maybe if It was filmed decades ago I'd say thats a true story but everything has changed through the new generation!!
