@@reviewer7368 Speaking of football, "salir jugando" means starting a play with short passes, usually starting with a goalkeeper's pass, and avoiding kicking the ball away. When he said that phrase it was because the player probably kicked the ball because of the rival pressure and the team lost possession of the ball. The continent thing is so real Im always saying it 😂😂
In Brazil too
Throughout Latin America it seems to be the case. I generally say that in English what they call America we consider two continents: the Americas. And American is really the only grammatically correct demonym for people from the United States. Sure there’s Yankee, but that only refers to a very small subset of the US population (specifically to be a Yankee you have to live and/or have been born in the New England region of the country and be able to trace your ancestry back to the original English settlers of the region). Referring to everyone in the entire hemisphere as American sounds as odd to us as insisting that we call all British, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Russian people Europeans. Sure it’s technically correct but it just sounds strange
Historically, the US has been a very imperialist country, and it has taken measures to ensure that every other country in the continent stays in the "developing" stage, except for Canada. In the present this is still the case. The US government still influences politically and it affects us in very real ways. We are still very much under the US foot. For people that have been historically fucked over by the US and Europe, we feel like on top of all that shit, they call themselves Americans as if the continent was only them and we are erased.
Those are pretty much our feelings, colonialism is still very real and present for us. You can explain a lot of Argentinian's psychology if you start looking at it as identity erasure and colonization.
PS: we say "estadounidense", unfortunately it sounds like shit in English so it hasn't been adopted 😂
@@sofuoc1698 Here in Canada I don't mind them calling themselves Americans, but were born calling them that. It is just a word. As you said though we weren't screwed over here. Like in my other post I just want the Argentines I've talked to to just realize that saying that does make them sound like they're from the States which would be incorrect. And then of course there's also the issue of rejecting the term 'latin'. I don't think anyone should be ashamed of it though! Qué sé yo!
@@MrBrokehisbollo yep, I think it's a matter of linguistics. In Spanish it makes more sense. Since many of us don't fit the "stereotype" of Latino (brown/bronzed skin, you know stuff like that) we struggle to identify ourselves with the label. Personally since I came to Europe I started identifying with the term a lot more, but neither my last name nor my appearance is stereotypically "latinx". At this point it's just screw anyone that says I'm not Latina 😂

@@MrLaizard exactly.
The whole discussion on "We are also American" forgoes the fact that both Americans and Argentineans (and, for that matter ANY country on Earth) apply the last word of the country's full name to form the demonym and, in any case, for naming the country at all -so, "United States of America" turns to "America" and "American", "República Argentina" to "Argentina" and "Argentinean", "República Federativa de Brasil" to "Brasil" / "Brasileiro". Doesn't paint a good pictures of Argentinian men if the stereotypes are somewhat true
This video was so much better than the Argentinian girl ..and for some reason the girls in both videos seem distant. The guy tho was epic and really realistic . Bring him more in the future video ✌️
Glad you liked him cause you will see more of him 😌
I am noticing a trend where passionate and romantic cultures are, shall I say, loosey-goosey about time and punctuality.
i agree with the whole 'the whole continent is america', when we, slavic people say america we mean the whole continent by that, not only the usa
They call americans "yankees" im from the US and i live in argentina and have 50% argentinian blood, everyone calls me "la yankee" or "yankee"

I went to two amazing dates with an Argentinian man. He was perfect. Intelligent, funny, gorgeous. Afterwards he turned down my advances to meet again without a valid excuse. I guess that means I've actually been ghosted, rather than being a "vueltero". It's a real shame, he was so cool. But I wonder if that's a normal Argentinian behaviour.
azzholes come in all nationalities amanda
@@rickycoker5830 True, but that hadn't happened to me before. Also he's not an asshole, he probably has a good reason I'm not aware of.
@@nevergiveup9937 you sound young Amanda...let me say some guys are jerks, some are immature, but whatever the reason pls. don't blame yourself...it's his loss not yours ok?
@@rickycoker5830 why do you act like I'm traumatised by him not wanting to date me anymore? I was just wondering if being so flaky is a common behaviour in Argentina. And again, he's not an asshole. I've met real assholes. Only because someone doesn't want to date you that doesn't mean they're immature or jerks.
Amanda Ramos nope, at least that hasn’t happened to me or to any of my Argentinian friends (one was ghosted but because of an argument or something like that and even then THAT GUY was a fuckboy)
''Argentinos are the best worst thing that will ever happen to you. ''
I 'll steal this Marina's motto, I think is good for prints on T-shirts and works for a lot of situations here in Brazil (e.g. now my keyboard is not working well, I think is because I ate a big alfajor upon it)
As a Dutch guy for some reason I have so much more in common with Argentenian guys. Also their girls are great. I feel like moving to BA tbh.
You would love it!
As an Argentinian I can say, we love, football (soccer), drinking, meat (with some veggies), and we like people from the US. (You are not American all of we are :) ) lol
If I would have watching this,I wouldn't have gotten my heartbroken.🤣
I know!! I took it so personal back then and now everything makes sense
I'm so sorry to read that Lorely but yes argentinians we are Americans too. It can be hard to hear but is true 😔. 😆
@@dantedelaimpro bien! 👍
As an American who visited, this is the most accurate thing ive ever seen lol
Another aspect as well as "Americans" from the USA not always thinking of others as Americans, is how Americans sometimes have trouble wrapping their heads around Argentinians (and Uruguayans and many Brazilians) being "latino". Americans are so used to Mexicans etc that they think all latinos must look just like them and they can't cope with the European looking Argentinians where fair hair and blue eyes are not that unusual. Having sad that I don't think many latinoamericanos call themselves 'latinos' outside of the USA.
It's so true hahahaha as an argentinian I felt identify with it. My girlfriend (from Norway) said it's exactly me hahaha

I love Argentina beautiful people, delicious food amazing country wished I lived there tbh
Most welcome dear
Im Filipino but I think of Argentinians as Spanish speaking Italians lol.
Girl I just laughed so hard, me too lol xx
Italian ancestry is very common there.
Everythings pretty accurate so far, except for the 'drinking mate out on the streets' lol. That's more of an Uruguayan thing.
My friend from Argentine was always bringing his Mate to the beach 🤭🤭🤭 and always for summer time Chilean coast get full of argentinians and you can see them with their termos and materos 🤭🤭
@@rorig4630 yeah thats pretty common! We like to drink mate when we are hanging out with friends on the beach or a park but we don't walk around with a thermos down the street lol
@@Camila-ku8rk Yeah I guess that was a bit of an exaggeration 🤣🤣 Maybe that Argentino walks around US with his Mate all proud 🤭🤭🤭 u know it can open some conversation. Oh wow what are u drinking?
Sharing mate is a great sign of friendship in Argentina
The truth is that all argentinians want to be uruguayan inside, but no one is going to accept that. There is so much proud. =P
Are Argentinian men really like that? I got discouraged to date an Argentinian man lol. Dante spent more time with his friend and didn't pay attention to the girl. That's a big no-no for me.
Yeah, most of them are like that, I mean, not all, but the vast majority
@@brenwaller5645 no good lol. Rather look for other type of latino men. I love latino men.

- woawuejduwua pff
La cara del flaco 😂
what did you eat
hahahah. the argentinians are my neighbors. hilarious. funny as hell!
At least in Brazil the pre party is not boring, sometimes is better than the party itself
I agree. The pre-party it's the moment to "jogar conversa fora" and "zuar"
During the Carnaval we have also the after party that is better than everything huehuehue
We usually do games/drinking games or chat with friends while listening to music (Argentinian)
@@TheSkycielito Here in Brazil too
There were only 3 actors to make that scene, it was hard to make it look funny
That "date isn't a date until it happens" thing is so true for Denmark aswell lol.
So until now I thought I was a German girl...but I guess I’m somewhat of an Argentinian man 😂🙈
This is Buenos Aires, remember, your experience may vary in other provinces.
Yeap problaby for worst!
Regards
0:35...apparently the line works to perfection...lol
I hadn’t realized we are that vuelteros but it’s true jajajajajaja
Im argentinian so sorry if i write sth wrong
We call you in many different ways
The correct one is “estadunidense”because “united states”in spanish is “estados unidos”so we say like that
Another way to call you is “yanqui” that is no the best one but not the worst one, buut we dont use it in an interview for example
And for me the badest is “gringo” that for me is a little bit “racist”
"Yanqui" is collloquial, the most correct usual term is "Norteamericano" which is not very accurate by the way (Mexico and Canada would also fit in!)....
@@MrLaizard so true lol

i remember when i "accidentaly" throw a magical milanesa to my vegan cousin, she was so pissed lmao
It was great filming with you, guys! And if anyone thinks we argentinans are quite different, it's just that we haven't shared an asado yet.
