    Im about to take over my parent's '98 land cruiser and your videos have been an incredible help, especially the pre purchase inspection and this as well!
    Thank you for putting all of these together, it'll make maintaining the old girl far easier for me

      That's so awesome to hear! Makes it all worth it! I have some more videos to work on I will have up. I am away from home until September. Any videos you would like?

      @@cruisinwithgreg I appreciate every video so far!
      I feel like addressing a rear main seal leak may be too complicated for a video LOL, however Im really interested in how you handled rust that you found during your inspection, and the process you did to cut off what you needed and paint over the rest, so if you ever had the time to share tips on tackling rust/preventing more, that'd be awesome!

    Thanks for the video. You ought to invest in a 3/8" ratchet. 😊

      Haha I already have one! But I couldnt find the 3/8c extension so I had to use the 1/4"!

    Thanks for the video, but if you spray the cleaner on the the tooth brush or rag it’s not necessary to take the throttle body off.

      Thanks for the tip! I may try that next time, since I had not done it on the vehicle I wanted to do as thorough a job as I could!

    Just a note, don’t push that throttle valve open w your hands if you have a 05-07 LC/LX, it has an electronic throttle body.

    Would this be a good place to start if my gas pedal seems to have to be pressed down super hard to get the engine to rev higher?

    • @cruisinwithgreg

      There are a few other places I would start before taking the throttle body apart. If you are pressing the pedal all the way and the engine won't rev, that would be a separate issue then revving but not accelerating as for as it should. I would first pull the throttle cable in the engine bay to see if the engine revs. I would make sure there are no codes for misfires.

      How high is your idle rpm? Have you driven it around since cleaning?

    Nice video! Is it really necessary for the cardboard? Would the small bits of carbon not just burn off in the combustion chamber? I guess better safe than sorry...

      @cruisinwithgreg  Год назад +1

      Definitely better safe than sorry. Very easy to do and I would not want to risk getting any large buildup of spray and contaminants there!
