    This is some great information. I had shoulder surgery for my shoulder in 2009, since them I basically did my own therapy and both shoulders feel great I am lucky to have friends who are chiropractor and help me out with my shoulder health. I had a pain that was in my shoulder blade for about 12 years, one of my wrestlers that I was training, father was a chiropractor. He fix my shoulder. Pain never came back.
    He said my shoulder blade was rubbing against my ribcage and this was causing the pain. Now I tell all my wrestlers to go to chiropractor
    I've help wrestlers get back on the mat that had shoulder injuries with strength training along with sending them to chiropractors. Doctors almost always never recommend chiropractor but I know they work.

    Well, if he "fixed" it with a single treatment, it wasn't frozen shoulder. Lots of people leave these kinds of treatments feeling much better, but by the next day (or in a few hours or less) significant pain and dysfunction usually returns. Neuro inhibition of pain (what an adjustment primarily does) doesn't last that long and can take many treatments to make significant progress (assuming it's not natural history anyway).

      @TheFishFTW 2 года назад +1

      Hey man. I recommend you go see an osteopath. Im a student myself and it sounds like your nerves could be getting impinged when in your sleeping position. It would really help the practitioner if your signifigant other or a friend took images of your exact sleeping position/positions before going for that visit. The issue could be in your cervical vertebrae foramen(aka holes where the nerves go through) or it could be the scaleni muscles that beau mentioned. It could be many different things but you will only find out if you find a solid osteopath, chiro or OMT physical therapist. But take those pics before you go because there is something about that position that squeezes those nerves and that is in laymans terms NO BUENO. Either way I hope it resolves.

  • @bamagolds
    @bamagolds 4 года назад +8

    I've torn 2 muscle groups. My left pec major in '02 and my right tri longhead in '16. Both tore in the belly of the muscle, outside the gym. Since these are both pressing muscles, my shoulders are recruited more to compensate for the loss. The front delts get worked more using less weight. The rear are more susceptible to injury.
    I've learned a lot from my chiropractor and massage therapist. I have my own sports stim unit that I still use on my injuries, which helps a lot. I've battled shoulder impingements for along time. Rest, stretching, ice, etc. are all good, but those damn "knots" will still be there. I can help other people, but for myself, I've had to invent therapy.
    Pressure point has always worked the best for me, but how do I apply a lot of pressure in a small area? Most knots are found around and behind the shoulder blade. I went to Hobby Lobby and got board 12"x 9" board and a pack of Wood Shaker Pegs for under $10. Using the diameter drill bit as the blunt end of the peg, I drilled holes in the board about the same width as in between my shoulder blades. If the holes are correct, the blunt end of the peg should stay in the board. The drill holes all around the holes.
    Then, I'd lay my board on the floor with a pillow for my head. Can place some small pillows around pegs so they don't press so hard. Slowly lay back on the pegs. Match the smooth top to your worst pain spot. May take a few times and peg adjustments, but you'll know when you hit it. Be prepared experience tons of endorphins. Stretching and strengthening exercises should be more effective a few times of this. Do visit your therapist and attack the pain with everything.

    this is literally what i have been working towards in my manipulations of muscle tissue and this is why i want to push to become a chiro of this magnitude. Does Doctor Hightower take apprentices lol been at this for 6 years and would love to grow more under a mentor like him for sure!

    • @InZayne
      @InZayne 4 года назад +8

      You should push yo become a physical therapist. You know someone that doesn't scam people to make them feel better. Chiro was founded by someone who is quoted saying it is a scam. And he never had any medical training. So why you want to follow in the footsteps of a known con-artist the didnt even know the names of the muscles he was "manipulating" is beyond me.

      InZayne I don’t get why just because the founder said it was a scam makes it irrelevant as a field. Haven’t “certified” doctors been bloodletting for thousands of years and drowning people in heroine, cocaine, and meth for a couple hundred?

    I had friends shoulder a few weeks ago literally out of the blue. I used to lift pretty regularly, and then I stopped going to the gym for like 6 months. I woke up one day and slowly I couldn't move my arm or shoulder at all, by the next day it was sooooo painful. Tbh I was so scared that something ripped. I respect chiropractors sooo effing much, i wish I could go back and studied to become one. Oh well...
