This was phenomenal! I've had frozen shoulder on both sides and the pain, at times, is so debilitating it can make a person feel worthless. I'm not sure how, but I was able to rehabilitate both shoulders, working around it, in the gym, over a year and a half period. My left side has been the worse, most likely from a collar bone fracture and severely dislocating my elbow and not being able to fully straighten out my left arm for the last 35 years. I regularly see a chiropractor and that has also helped tremendously. God bless you for the work you do and the results you're able to accomplish.

Wait, this can’t be the end! Dr. Beau you are the reason that I was able to bring myself to a chiropractor and seek help for my horrific pain. Every other doctor just pushed me away and told me to lose weight and I would be fine. I knew it had to be more than that because I know my body. I’ve been in this body for 38 years and been very connected to it so I knew that this was more than just a weight thing. But I have been pushed away by so many doctors that were an even willing to look further than my weight that I was discouraged and I felt like there was no hope, but when I started watching your videos I knew that there was going to be a way for me to not suffer anymore. Before seeing your videos are used to think that going to the chiropractor was all about getting cracked and from watching you do your work I realized it was so much more… So thank you for everything! Used to intern at a PT facility over the past summer and I just shadowed PTs there. Mostly worked on knees and shoulders with some odd balls like nerve damage and what not. But I only shadowed, I never structured a workout routine for patients because I’m not qualified or fully trained for that. One day I shadowed a PT I never shadowed before and she had asked if I wanted to take the reigns and design the workouts for the patients that day (she would over see and make sure I was doing things properly and efficiently for patients). So I did and the first patient I did this for had a frozen shoulder. By far the hardest job I’ve ever done because i wasn’t qualified for it and very new to PT so I didn’t want to cause any pain, but every exercise caused pain even with light weights or no weight. When I do become a PT I hope that I can figure out how to deal with these because in the few months I interned there I saw probably 10-15 frozen shoulders.

I’ve had two frozen shoulders, first was my left shoulder that lasted 3 years with huge pain. The second was my right shoulder that lasted like 1.5 years. I had a steroid injection to ease the pain a bit. I started seeing a physio also each week he gave me exercises to do what got my shoulder a lot better. I was also told to change my posture also. I think i got my injury over exerting my self doing the shoulder press.

Oh how I wish I could have this done. Multiple subluxations to both shoulders, lost count at a dozen on each shoulder along with one serious dislocation. On top of fractures to my first through fourth ribs in my back have left me a wreck for years. I definitely need to look into having something like this done. It would be nice to not be in constant pain.

I’ve been having shoulder pain for 4 years. I’ve gotten dry needling and it helps but no doctors, chiropractors or physical therapists have been able to figure out what’s wrong. I wish I could find someone to help me like this. I’m missing out on sleep and only get a few hours a night and so tired of waking up with this pain everyday. I have been told it’s not rotator cuff. I have clicking non stop all day and sometimes neck pain but that has actually gotten better with therapy and dry needling.

Dr. Beau, thanks for this video. I had a similar condition as my man Chris Bell (whose documentaries I have watched numerous times), except I tore the biceps loose instead of the triceps in combination with a 90% slap tear. I wish I had been introduced to your videos before suffering 12 months of constant physical therapy and another six months to regain muscular strength again. Please keep up the videos Man!! Is there any way you could post a picture or short vid on that tennis ball/PVC device you were talking about? That sounds like a great way to get serratus release and possibly some pec minor release but I'm a visual learner, and I can't picture exactly how you set it up.

I don't want to discredit Dr Beau, but to me, these 'treatments' seem very skeptical, especially with these types of injuries. It's just a simple question I ask myself, "How can 6 months, 1 year or even 5 years of having a frozen shoulder be fixed in 15 minutes of hammer banging and poking?'. I have had shoulder impingement in the past that I thought would disappear on its own, but after a few months I decided to try different exercises and fix my posture (daily posture and posture during exercises). It was slow at first, but after 15 minutes of doing these exercises, I noticed slightly better movement. If I didn't do the exercises the next day, my shoulder would go back to feeling shitty. So after a few months of exercising daily, targeting the rotator cuff and muscles around it primarily, it finally went away. Even then, I have to be conscious of form during exercises (pull ups) to make sure I engage my back and keep my shoulders engaged to prevent shoulder impingement.
