@@DrDougWillenHouseofChiro Dr. Doug, my girlfriend can't lift her arm similar to this gentleman due to an old neck injury. She had a fusion at her C4 and C6. I saw in this video that when you performed the occipital adjustment he was able to raise his arm easier. Can an occipital adjustment be done on someone with a neck fusion?

OUGH this poor guy. What an absolute trooper. I've been watching chiro yt all year and this is easily the worst frozen shoulder I've seen yet. Thanks Dr Doug and wishing this patient continued (and less painful) recovery ❤

Dr Willen, I think this was your first double frozen shoulder case, at least on your channel. I hope Mujahid comes for follow ups, even if it’s a long drive. That was an awesome 👏 before and after, a lot of pain in between but definitely worth the long drive 👍. Thank you 🙏 for always giving tips how improve with stretching, what to use and how. If he’ll forget, he can always go back to the video and look it up. Dr Doug, you’ve helped him tremendously, the CFR was perfect 👌 especially on his left side, you never stop amaze me with your knowledge, intelligence and passion, to help everyone with your beautiful heart ❤️. How lucky am I and Mark to have met the nicest, the kindest and the talented person ever, you know I still have your autograph that you’ve signed on your business card and I cherish it. Have a nice Sunday doc

Had FS on my left side .. guided steroid injection wore off after a few weeks. Many bad side effects with that, as well.. 😢
Made another appointment with the same ortho office and brought in the recipe for ultrasound-guided hydrodilation. He was hesitant but in the end did it. Much less side effects, if any.
Then started free hanging from a bar within three days - three months out and hoping it doesn't return.
I was in much more pain and less range of motion than this gentleman.
Advocate for yourselves no matter what path you wish to go on this horrible condition. After a few months of horrible pain and very little sleep... I know it's hard.
Know that you will get through this! 🌻

Definitely double frozen shoulders, Ouch!! Good result, though. That was a tough session to watch for me, very painful. He's a tough man, he never asked you to stop, though he might have wanted to. I salute him. One stretch that really helped me with my one frozen shoulder was to run my arm up the wall and push a little further each time. Really worked well. Good session, Doc. ☮☮

The old patient you're talking about around 1:50 sounds like something that I had years ago. After a night of heavy bench presses, immediately after which my shoulders and neck felt much better than usual, the next morning I couldn't raise my right arm past shoulder level under my own muscle power. It didn't hurt, and someone else could move it like that for me, but if I tried to move it myself it just stopped there and wouldn't go any further. I had a friend who was a PT (but not my PT) who was very confused because he thought there should either be mechanical blockage (so that even he couldn't move it for me) or else pain (so I wouldn't move it past there myself). I suspected a nerve problem but he was skeptical of that.
It's 16 years later now, and for all practical purposes I'm able to move that arm normally as needed, but I can still feel that something is wrong in there when I do so.

I'm very fit and active, too. But it came on for me last September.
In Japan, the word for it means "fifty year old shoulder". So being over 50 can be a factor.
Some people claim it's due to inflammation but my body and markers showed there was no inflammation.
It's sort of a mystery as far as many researchers have gathered. 😢

For me, slipping on the ice resulting in a shoulder injury.
The healing process resulted in limited range of motion, i.e. a frozen shoulder. I did/do a lot of exercise with bands and weights, and of course, stretching for the shoulder. Over time, my range of motion came back as the pain subsided. I’m back to normal.
By the way, I’m 73 years old, and I feel like 43. I’ve been weight training since 1966.
