I prefer the GMC. I have a black Ultimate just like your buddy. I tinted the fender markers and installed Diode Dynamics LEDs for the license plate and GMC logo projectors in the mirrors too. I thought about the illuminated grille emblem but decided it’s probably a little over the top. Love the truck so far!

I always preferred the gmc until 2020. Those fenders were taken from a skid loader trailer. They are awful

Thank You for this video!! My Sterling Metallic 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate w/ Duramax is currently in production...... very excited!! Love the illumination of both of these trucks. In regards to the Ultimate, are the running boards with courtesy lights an option or is it standard? This is the first time I've seen them! I must say, they're awesome! I currently have a GMC 2018 2500HD Denali Duramax which has been a great truck. One thing I'm looking forward to is better lighting with a wider spread.... Your video seems to lean towards being much better. Thanks again!! As always, Great job to the both of you!! Ray 👍

Yeah, the headlights on the 2018 Sierra suck. I found some great LED replacement fog lights for mine which made it possible to see right in front of and to the side of the truck so it was possible to see to turn corners at night. Now my 2024 Silverado has great headlights and fog lights that suck...

Best comparison of the two on RUclips, and I greatly appreciate it because I have been going back and forth between the AT4X HD and ZR2 HD. This solidified my decision in the Chevy!

I love both and Denali is more high class but a Silverado always makes more sense. For example a fully specked 3500 diesel dually runs 130K for the Denali, vs 89K for the High country Silverado. I mean 40K for the exact same truck that has a few bells and whistles (which is funny because the Silverado is GMs flagship not the Denali) it just makes more sense to get a Silverado if you compare costs

My issue is illumination to the side when I'm turning into a dark driveway. Do the forward lights on the mirrors offer any illumination for this?

Hard to pick for me. I’m a Chevy guy even when going up against a GMC but both are really nice.
I guess out of these two I would pick the Chevy however in my opinion the 2024 AT4 may be the best looking truck on the road.

  • @benbyerly1996

Love the video! So, it has been my observation that Chevy is about a year behind GMC trucks on the smaller updates. It makes sense because GMC is the top of the line for the company. And I wasn't sure if you knew this or not, but if you are using the assisted highbeam setting on the 2024 GMC's, you can not run the fog lights.
Also, if you have not tinted the front window, I would definitely recommend it! What a difference it makes, wow. I had my Bronco tinted with the heat reflected tint down at JC Automotion, and it was money well spent. My truck is there right now getting the same tint. It is the first thing I would recommend to anyone when adding accessories to a vehicle. So thank you for introducing them to us in your videos.

Both very sharp trucks, each have things I like over the other. The Chevy has got my vote, only because I do not prefer the running lights in the fenders of the gmc.
Too bad GM dropped the ball on courtesy lighting. They’ll save money where they can though.

New GMC front end looks sick, 23 chevy LTZ and HC looked better than the 24s imo....24 LT and below look better than 23, but I don't really mind the previous look
Not a fan of new lights on high trim chevy....
GMC looks awesome, seen a few around neighborhood and 1 very classy looking rig...for 90k it better be
If you worked your ass off to be able to afford one of these hats off to you...enjoy the shit out of it
Trucks are too expensive is people's fault not manufacturers....people keep buying them so they will continue to build them.....all they do is supply a potential market....if it sells they make more and take advantage like any other business selling a product
You should be pissed at your fellow truck buyers for creating a market you can't/won't afford if anything.....this is the reason these trucks are so expensive make no mistake

Question. Does your AT4X running board lights activate at night when you open the door and deploy them? Mine only light up with the key when you unlock the truck, seems like they should be on with the interior lights when the door opens. Is there a way to fix this through programming?

I wonder how many people actually use their glove box for gloves. I personally keep my gloves in the door pocket’s. I keep my personal gloves in the driver door and new spare gloves for others in the the rear driver side.

Are you positive that there isn’t lighting in the footwells? I know on my RAM it has a roller switch that you use to adjust the brightness of the display. If you turn it all the way up, it makes the dash and screen display go to full brightness and turns off the ambient lighting.

My 2023 AT4 2500 has great headlights as well. Not like these, but it is better than the 2021 Silverado HD I had. It seems like you had to have the LTZ and up package just to get a decent set of headlights. I wish Chevy would stop using halogen lights on lower trim levels.

It sucks that they put crap fog lights on the Chevy. They are pretty much for decoration, nothing more. Basically no usable light. Hopefully the aftermarket will be able to build a real, functional fog light for them eventually. I'll be replacing mine as soon as something is available! I also have concerns with snow building up on the LED headlights.

Be careful running updates. My new 2024 Chevy 3500 High Country dually with less than 2,000 mikes is a brick in my driveway right now. Ran an update that was prompted Saturday and it was dead Sunday. Batteries are good on a multi meter. Roadside assistance jump started it and it seemed to be okay but then the check engine light was on. It went off later Sunday when I was running some errands. Didn’t drive it Monday and it is dead again Tuesday. Hauler on the way to take it back to the dealership. Batteries still show good levels but no power to anything. I can’t say how disappointed I am after owning Fords for my last 5 trucks. I’m really regretting my decision to try GM. Should have waited for a new Ford one ton.

I just dropped it at the dealership after roadside assistance jump starting it. The GM and Service Director came out to talk with me. While explaining the situation one of the service writers spoke up and said he had the exact same thing going with another 3500 duramax following updates. He said they have contacted GM Engineering for guidance. I

The 2024 GM HD's moved over to the global B architecture for all electrical. Over the air updates are new to these trucks. With anything new typically comes growing pains. I think I will wait until later this year or possibly even next before ordering. Good luck on your truck, I'm sure they will soon have you back in business.

How disappointing on the internal lights and bed lights. Also, what the heck. These are $$$$$$ trucks, power adjusting pedals, power adjusting steering wheel, panoramic roof, improved bed lighting, and complete cab lighting under rear seat, all floors, all cup and door holders and all glove boxes.

GMC looks better with better electrical work like aux, floor lighting and glove box. Makes zero sense, but a lady who gets riden in a Bentley to work made this truck. So this is why I own RAM products. Built for with work amd a man, them GM vehciles were built for a soccer mom or dad. Maybe 2026 they will fix their mess up? I want Uconnect 6.0, in 2026. Love the GM radios though, not their speakers! Hardon Kardon speakers are way better.
