Its nice to see a fathers point of view. My Son is on the Spectrum . It started around two years of age. Ive been raising him since he was three years old (9 now ) As a single parent. I remember the nights I would rock him to sleep. I would tear up ( cry ) at times thinking how it would be nice to just hear my Sons voice. He would stare at me and touch my face. He wouldnt talk verbally but his eyes knew what to say. I'd talk to him while he slept and he'd smile. Raising my Autistic Son is a Blessing. I wouldnt change a thing. Hes had my full attention and its made a difference. My son isnt on meds , is in regular classes, talks really well, comprehension is awesome, A/B Honor Roll, has friends and is The Light of My Life. Much Respect To All The Parents out there.
When did your son started talking , thank you
Wow...single dad ...you are the best 👌

Your not alone my friend, thats what we can do. push more than the limits and just cry but go on.
My 32 year old brother is on the spectrum. He’s taught my whole family about unconditional love and emotional intelligence.
My son was diagnosed with Autism three days ago. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this film and sharing soundbites of your journeys. This Los Angeles dad is grateful to each of you.

@Pateck Aaron how can we contact dr Oyalo.
All people are individuals as are Autistic people. Know thyself. Learn about what co-morbitities are and recognize, these are not Autism itself. Stay positive. Conformity is not about being Autistic, it's about fear of difference.
My son is austistic and that is pic as the profile. I cry a lot during this film, because it feels like it was me being interviewed.

Your son is very handsome. And I completely understand how you feel. Im a momma of a autistic daughter. And I understand your feelings.
I will be the first father in the comments to say that.... I F@#$%* up!
My stepson is on the spectrum and I must say that there is so much that I wish I knew brfore the fact of knowing he had autism. I really F'ed up for years. I have apologized and am more aware of his needs and emotions now. It's hard as hell and I wish many more fathers had the information and guidance to approach the situations correctly. It's a real struggle. Men need to talk more amongst each other for solutions. It can even damage marriages if not treated properly.
Be strong parents. BE STRONG MEN.
I love hearing from the father’s! As a mother of a son with autism I found my husband to be silent about his thoughts, feelings, emotions and fears. I can’t wait to show his this video. Thank you all for sharing your journey with is.🙏🏽
Me too. Hugs.
Alot of us men are like this. It's not that we don't have the feelings. It's that we can't properly express them
My 3 yr old grandson is autistic. His father is not in the picture at all, which is good bc he was very abusive to my daughter. I am the man in my grandson's life. I absolutely love my grandson, he is my world. It doesn't bother me that he's autistic, it helps explain a lot of his characteristics. I love him for who he is and how he is. Unfortunately, I hardly get to see him due to my daughter lives in another state with him and bc of covid it has made seeing them almost impossible.
Great Documentary, I'm A Father Of A 10yr Old Non Verbal Son, He's The Most Happiest Kid I've Ever Seen In My Life Despite His Disability, He Shows Us Love In Ways I've Never Imagined At Times, Thank You Very Much For This Video There's Alot Of Truth, Honesty, Devotion & Love, It's Really Great To Watch & See What Other Father's Are Like When It Comes To Autism. ❤💯🤘
YES, we have a job to do and we will do it for them. Thank You to the fathers in the film, it must have been hard to express yourselves.

Great vid. I'm a father of a 14 year old daughter autism and non verbal. Her mother passed away suddenly when she was twelve and we have been battling.this has given me more hope and energy to help my daughter.can relate to every dad in this show. Don't feel so alone after watching this.great vid
Does autistic child attach with their parents. Pls reply
You are not alone. In the same boat.
I cried the whole time, this is so beautiful! Thank you to everyone who participated in this video, so encouraging.
Thank you . I m single mum with child with autism. I m glad to see dads and encouragement, similar experiences ..... Excellent documentary!
This is well done, these Fathers do not hide the difficulties, or their fears, and they also really show the love too. Often Fathers of Autistic children are left out of many conversations, as if they are detached or unable to speak about their kids. This film knocks all that on its head. When the Australian Autism Strategy info came out, there was a picture of a Mum and a little child, but no Fathers to be seen. That was insensitive and wrong, and this film makes that 'missing, uncaring, or uninvolved Dad' stereotype so over-hyped and misleading. Someone should bring these Dads together and let them talk to each other, and let all Australian Dads learn from and appreciate that meet up.
I've just send this to my husband.. God bless you for this 😭
This may be the best thing I've seen on the internet. I have a 15 year old non verbal autistic son and I can identify with every thing these fathers were saying. Every day for me is both the best and worst day.
Here I am 2023 my son is high functioning autism and I’m now just doing a lot of research his mom was the one to always handle the apts and everything else I feel horrible but this video just gave me hope that I can understand and be a better father to him i love him and want to show him that
I am the grandma of ... and this was what I needed to share with his dad❤️...So helpful an heart warming .. thank you❤️
Such a beautiful film, the Dad's are wonderful, their children are amazing and I thank you for making this film, it truly warmed my heart.
High fives to all these Dad's and their kids. I had tears and smiles watching this. As a solo Dad raising my autisic son this video touched my heart like no other. Well done 👍
Thank you for making this film, dads get forgotten and left behind in the asd world, I know for my husband he doesn't understand what all the "jargon" means he likes simple instructions so I feel this will really help him, as I know he feels helpless and for lack of better words useless in some instances, so thank you for making this film.
This is hard to stomach. I am a proud autistic Dad of a wonderful autistic boy. I couldn't be happier. Thank God we are autistic
Listening to these dads show how proud of their child regardless of their disability it shows that these children bring out the best of their personality
Thank you for all the parents out there! Your children need you. Thank you for showing them your love, n support. They bring out the best in you n in your family.
my son is autistic, its definitely hard. its crazy how much the internet really assists you and finding the resources.
Great to see some video's with fathers!!!

I couldn't hold my tears... I'm sorry for this....
I'm the grandfather and he's about 2.7 yrs .. really loved this video.. learn many things how to behave with him ..
Our 7 yo has recently been diagnosed. I'm now dealing the a son with autism and the realisation I'm probably autistic. It was only when I learnt about autism did my life begin to make sense.
Just watched this I am dad who's child has Autism n this has helped me so much. Thank you so much 💕
One of the best videos made, regarding parents of those with special needs. We hear sooo much from moms of those with autism. It is wonderful to hear how dads handle it, what they find the most challenging, the most memorable/proud milestones, how important their partner is to them in all this, and just seeing them so invested and so involved. I hope these videos continue to be made. They are very insightful and just plain awesome to see how proud and in love they are with their child with special needs. Every one of them light up when they speak about seeing their child happy, and I think that’s all we want for our kids- to know they will be ok and they are happy individuals.
You got it Mish. Thanks.

I am a grandmother and my grandson has autism. He has blessed my life so much. He is such an awesome beautiful little boy who blesses my heart and blesses my day. Every time I see him thank you to all these fathers who participated in this film keep up the good work and stay strong, you really show what love is about
I love the honesty shown by these dads. They are all so human, so normal and they have no incentive to make their everyday life seem easier or harder than it is. Lots of respect to them all!
Thank you for this. I have two children on the spectrum and we just don’t have anyone to help us. It is good to know it can be done. I will keep trying.
Mark as a parent myself with 2 kids on the spectrum, keep trying it is worth it when you get the help you are doing a good job already just by trying to find help you are making a difference in your children's lives
Put pride aside, look at special schools and not main stream with only special education classes. It made a massive difference to our child who was non-verbal and now can pick up a paper and make a very good attempt to read as much as he can. 🙂
Blessings Mark. ruclips.net/video/FTIDOp6EZuU/видео.html

Thank you for this my angel is four years old and he was diagnosed at 2 and a half it’s a process but he’s such a happy and curious child his ABA therapy is helping him so much and he’s moderately verbal but he knows how to tell me a lot of things without actual words. I love him so much.
I just found out today that my 2-1/2 year old son is on the spectrum. Thank you this video made me feel hopeful. God bless
My significant other daughter is meeting all the markers for autism. He is in severe denial and struggling to handle me talking even about therapies with him. I am so worried he won't come out of it and precious time and progress is missed. I've started taking a course to become a certified ABA tech. So I can do it with her. I just want to help her. I wish I could help him too. I hope I can get him to watch this. We both have daughters the same age. I know that's even harder on him seeing the girls grow further and further apart developmentally. I am so proud of how my daughter helps her
Thank you dad's for sharing your story
I was 35 when I had my only child. My Mother-in-law did not understand why I had a Amniocentesis test. It wasn't because we would not want the baby, it was because we wanted to be as educated as we could before our SON blessed us
I clicked on this video thinking it was about autistic fathers not fathers with autistic children, but it was still interesting. I never asked my dad what it was like for him when I got the diagnosis, because I was already an adult when it happened...I think it put some behaviour of his dad (which I suspect was probably autistic as well) in perspective.
it'S kinda fun to see that several dads are working in highly specialised jobs and stuff like IT...which have a higher rate of autistic people compared to the general population . wouldn't be surprised if some of the dads weren't somewhere on the spectrum as well.
This is so beautiful and touching. Thank you so much.
15:53 Michael heart goes out to you. Thoughts and prayers with you and your son.
Thank you for this video, it meant something very special. Let’s stick together and do what we need to make these kids lives special
What a FANTASTIC Documentary !
What a wonderful, wonderful, meaningful film. Thanks for sharing these stories. Incredibly comforting and relatable.
Thank you for this video, it gave me some hope 👪
Thank you so much for this.
Who has a nerve so as to give this video a thumbs down. Heartless!
Maybe it's because asd is unique in every child and someone's personal experience hasn't been reflected here and it's upset them or something.
There was no black dads.
Truly wonderfully made.
This video has filled me with lots of hope and positive thoughts 😊
Thank you for making this film. I have shared it with my friends.

Honestly loved this whole video! Cried laughed and cried some more.
this year my wife and I got certain diagnoses that our 4 year old son had a mild symptom of autism and I was at work and I started to cry cause I love my son with all my heart and this is not the end of the world
Thank you for this I really needed this today…
Wow, this is amazing. I've experienced most of these same emotions and feelings as well when I found out my son had autism.
Thank you so much!
I needed to hear all of this great wisdom. God bless everyone involved in making this great film possible.
Beautiful stories.
As a father of three children with Autism the stories shared in this film resonate so much, thank you for making it. Autism has changed my life completely, it lead me to get qualified as a Hypnotherapist and Master practitioner of NLP, so I can help other dads work through the emotional roller coaster ride that is raising a child with Autism.
Wow! Amazing documentary. Don’t forget to bring the tissues. Very emotional 💜
Great resource - thanks to those dads who were so open with what has happened in their lives and how they have raised their autistic children. 👏 👏 👏

Great film! It echos so many things my family has gone through with our son!
we are a family with three autistic children and the love the passion these families had made me cry as a father .we often cry but we remain focussed and full of love for our children we never expected to have a child with autism but we have three .we find they give more than you realise we feel we are very rich and very much in love .we are stronger we face criticism from the public well even when we were threatened by violence on a couple of occaisions because of our daughters behaviour .the public are always ready to say your kid needs a smack or dicipline these people dont know so we feel for them.we are richer than them .i had tears for these men and their family they are so strong .mat rogers loved him as a footy player love and respect him more now.follow your own mind and be strong and love each other or it will fail

I just wanna thank you all for these videos. To be so worried in the beginning. And to be so relieved after watching one video. Our children are amazing . And that's all they will ever be. Thank you all for being on our side. And thank you all for letting us know things will get better. I look forward to this journey . And I know I(we) can do it. Especially for our son. Have a wonderful day my friends. I thank you so much for the reassurance. I'm 100% positive we can do this. I know I can. I know we can
This was such a good video, from the perspective of different fathers with children who are under the autism spectrum. Each child is unique and special. After watching many videos and documentaries on autism, I found the ones by Dr. Temple Grandin (who has autism herself), to be very informational and a great resource for families dealing with autism. Dr. Grandin helps give hope to many families and children. I can't say enough about her. I wish the best for all of you.
We got our sons diagnosis recently. This film has just been such an awesome comfort to me. Thank you so much for the vulnerability
How open, honest, really beautiful film.
These are great n owesome daddies loving their children unconditionally. They deserves praise n best wishes from us for their continue support of their children with autism looking for the best for their children.
Thank you !

Beautiful movie.
A Beautiful documentary . ❤well done .
God bless each an everyone of you! We are all blessed! Love from 🇺🇸
Thank you.
Brilliant to see this, thank you. My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with Autism at age 5, interestingly i myself was diagnosed as Autistic last year
My daughter is a single mother, we have been having my grandson evaluated and tested over the last year for Autism. It was confirmed two weeks ago that my grandson is Autistic. It has been challenging at times for my daughter and for me. We are trying to learn as much as we can, watch a lot of videos, and research as much as we can. I find that so many things he does or the way his brain works is very interesting and fascinating. I am also having to practice a lot of patience with my grandson as to sometimes he wants to be around me and sometimes he wants nothing to do with me. The hardest part is wondering how his relationship with me will be as he grows up.
Simply brilliant ❤

Thank you for making this we have 2 autistic kids hear and their dad a homebody and like to keep to himself and that ok and I wouldn't change that for anything. But people forget it so different for dad's when it comes to autistic children. Yes, mum normal have a more community face role but dad are behind the scenes. I told my partner about this not expecting him to be interested in watching it but I put on just because I want to watch and he decides he was interested too and he got a lot out of it and a lot he could related too
Thanks great to hear.
