    Not sure why u bled the brakes? I just pull the lid off master cylinder and push the piston back on the caliper introducing no air in to the line

      Don’t even need to remove the lid, just go slow and it’ll be fine

    There is no need to open the bleeder unless there was air in the line to begin with.

    No silicone on back of pads or on caliper where back of pad touches and also on piston where pad touces?

    Is the rotor pin with black rubber harder to slide in and out then the other pin without rubber

  • @alb10ngb37
    @alb10ngb37 2 года назад

    Question, you always have to change rotor?

  • @desertsail912
    @desertsail912 2 года назад +1

    Just FYI, on 2013 Model Year and newer, the bracket to knuckle bolts only need 91 foot/lbs torque, according to Haynes.

  • @quintin1125
    @quintin1125 5 лет назад +2

    Do I have to change my rotors every time I change the brakes or how do I know when I need to change them.

    • @labx6082
      @labx6082 5 лет назад

      @quintin1125 You have to measure the thickness of the rotor with a digital caliper tool. The minimum thickness allowed is stamped on the top of the rotor. You may need to remove some rust with a wire brush or fine sand paper if applicable to see it.

  • @BillSW

    how did u know there is air when bleeding?

  • @kevlinville
    @kevlinville 4 года назад

    If you do not bleeding the brakes, would you have issues with the pads grabbing the rotor. I can feel the front brakes shim-ing

    In 4:10 do u have to squeeze out the water or no

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  5 лет назад +1

      +justin mendez The caliper should be decompressed in order to install new brake pads properly. If you do not, the pads will not fit as the area will not be big enough to fit in.

    And if this tech was not being filmed, she wouldn't had brushed anything.... Plain spray of brake cleaner. When bleed the caliper... Nothing could have got in the line as it is compressed. She would have just opened the master cylinder like anyone else. I'm just wondering why she didn't glassbeed , then paint everything😂😂😂😂😂. The HP rotors... Seriously, it's an SUV
