  • Replacing ignition coils and doing a Spark plug change on a 2009 Nissan Murano can cost you an arm and a leg. Saved myself $600 to $1000 by doing this tune-up plug change ourselves! Thanks to my Son in Law for the help!

I Purchased my '09 Murano NEW (AWD) w/08Miles on it. I have about 92,000 Miles on her, so it'll be a While before I Need to Change the Plugs. I Really Appreciate Your Video......I Didn't realize it was that Involved and takes that much time. Way Different than changing Plugs on my 1958 MG ZB Magnette. MuchisimoZ GraciaZ, Michael.

thanks for the video! My 2009 Murano LE AWD has 118k on the clock and it's about time I changed the original spark plugs. I'm the original owner and I've already went thru 2 sets of new tires, 2 new control arms (front bushings went bad). Now finally the alternator is not charging enough and the AC system went out. Not sure if leak or need new compressor or clutch pack.. I was able to replace the rear brake rotors but had to pay someone to switch out the front ones since I don't have an impact wrench to take off the front bolts..arrggh... at least I can can do DIY on the plugs thx to your video !!! ..though I figured the intake manifold would have to be taken out to get to the 3 plugs.

It's unbelievable whAt you have to take apart just to change spark plugs. They make cars today so the average person can't work on them.

Great video. Just a note: you DON'T put anti seize on iridium plugs. It even says it on 3 different places on that NGK box

When you remove the intake, you should have replaced the PCV and hose, as well as the hose that connects the valve covers. Those hoses will always be hard and brittle after 80K to 100K miles on the engine and will create a vacuum leak. And if your PVC is clogged, the pressure must go somewhere, and it usually blows a gasket and that's an expensive repair.

How long were the sockets? Deep or short to be able to fit in those tight places in the back like the 13mm one

get cat cleaner and run it through a full tank of gas. Then reset the computer on your MO (remove the battery leads for 2 minutes) and then drive it for 90 miles or so, this will allow the computer to start working normally. I did this on my 2009 this year and the Cat warning went away.
