    I'm Faren. I big chopped in April 2013. I have medium to low porosity hair, that is super dense at the crown. My haircare regimen includes washing my hair at least once a week, regular treatments (protein, olaplex and bond salve) and trims every 3 months on blown out hair. I am not a hair care professional, and I'm honestly still learning my hair.

    K18 Peptide Prep Shampoo
    Adwoa Beauty Booming deep conditioner
    Colorwow Dreamcoat Extra Strength to blow out
    I forget the original stylers but I rebraided my hair twice with Adwoa Melonberry Leave in and Miche Beauty Pumpkin Spice Mousse.

    I only bought the Fenty Hair curl cream and it worked amazing on my 4c hair!!! I think the cream is really more designed for two strand twists, finger twists, and twists outs than for wash 'n goes, and it works better when you use the cream with a leave in conditioner. My twists never looked and felt so good, soft, and moisturized from any other curl cream. And it smells like heaven in a jar. Honestly, I don't get what type of mind-blowing thing people want from every new celebrity hair care line when these lines aren't even making those promises. All you can do is try them, or don't. No product or line will work for everyone. Your hair will either love it, or it won't. You can't really truly tell what will work and win you over until you actually try it on your hair. I'm so glad I took the plunge and decided to just try it, and now the curl cream alone is a winner and my new favorite! My 4C hair just loves it!

      @@keyountisejones4071 the easiest way is RUclips search “curly hair type” and many vids will appear where you can kind of get an idea of where your curls fall (loose , wavy , curly, coily) … I generally don’t like to use curl typing but since it’s already been implemented and everyone uses it for reference , I also use it for reference so others will understand

I think a lot of bloggers want to be on Rih's PR list and go to future hair launches so aren't being honest. There is no way a white woman with fine limp hair can use hair products from this line and for it to work perfectly for me. No thanks.

    I personally don’t believe any particular product is the answer to ALL hair types. As Black women most of us have a range of “hair types” on our head. Example being your crown may be a slightly different hair type than the rest of your hair. We all love when we find the perfect hair products, but it can take time, and it’s expensive and can be defeating going through the process. My hair covers the whole range of type 3, and I’m always open to trying new moisturizing products as I live in Vegas where the intense desert heat is damaging. I like Cream of Nature products, however I ordered Fenty and looking forward to seeing the results. Also if your hair is damaged due to a number of issues, it takes awhile using a product to see results.

      You just explained my entire 10 year, natural hair journey. And just to take it a step further, if your hair is damaged, once it’s repaired, you’re gonna need different products then. I have 4 brands that I adore that work for my hair. Hopefully you’ll find something in the Fenty Hair line for you, so it won’t be a total waste 💛 tfw!

    Thank you reviewing these products. I have just a few questions:
    Does the Fenty shampoo have good slip? Was it easy to run your fingers through your hair with it?
    Also, in terms of how it left your hair feeling, how does it feel compared to when you use the Adwoa Beauty Blue Tansy Shampoo?
    I ask these questions because the Adwoa Beauty Blue Tansy shampoo is my current favourite as it leaves my Type 4, fine hair really hydrated, not super stripped and not with a squeaky clean feeling which I appreciate.

    • @HeyKnottyGirl
      @HeyKnottyGirl  Месяц назад +1

      I know the Fenty shampoo claims to have really good detangling properties, but I didn’t feel that it did. My hair was super soft with it, but I wouldn’t say it had really good slip.
      With the Blue Tansy shampoo, my hair feels cleaner. The Fenty shampoo felt like it may leave a film behind, but not in a bad way in a “strengthening” way. If that makes sense.
      But I will note that the Fenty shampoo isn’t clarifying like the Blue Tansy is

    • @HeyKnottyGirl

      I thought it was interesting that she made that decision to include her patented technology in every product. It’s almost like she assumed everyone’s hair needed repair. I’m curious to see if anyone shows how their hair responds over multiple weeks of using them.

    • @vanessaclark3443
      @vanessaclark3443 Месяц назад +1

      @@michelleej I don't think Fenty Hair adding the patented technology into all their products was their way of saying that everyone has damaged hair. I think it was so that even if you buy just ONE product from the line, you'll still get some benefit from the technology, instead of having to buy all the products or one specific product to reap the benefits of it.

As I am typing this comment, I am rocking a Day 14 wash and go which I will be washing tomorrow. So, I get a beautiful, long-lasting wash and go for a fraction of the price of the Fenty cream. I have 4A hair. You have natural, beautiful coils so it really does not take much for your hair to clump and curl so these products did not work well for your hair, in my opinion.

    You are like the 4th person I've watched with type 4 hair reviewing these products and I'm sorry but they are not giving. Everyone I've seen using the gel has dull, low definition results (no shade to you lovely) no matter how much they say they love it because the camera is saying different.
    All except one person said the shampoo did not do what it needed to do which is give moisture.
    Believe me I love Rihanna, she has style, is different and successful BUT to me this hairline needs to be tweaked.
    I'm certainly no Beyonce fan but in the reviews I watched of her products you can see visible results after their hair was washed and conditioned, the fenty results just don't look hydrated or nourished enough.

      I didn’t feel any shade 🤗 you’re right. My hair looks so dull. Honestly, Cecred and Fenty Hair feel the same as a Redken or Ouidad product that’s not formulated for textured hair. They feel like quality products, but type 4 hair just has different needs that don’t appeal to the vast majority. Hopefully both brands will continue to learn and expand like Pattern Beauty has.

    • @GIMJ84
      @GIMJ84 Месяц назад +6

      @HeyKnottyGirl and funny how pattern beauty is formulated by someone who wears their hair curly most of the time unlike Rihanna and Beyonce who straighten and regular wear wigs. I luvva wig myself, my hair is natural, and I wear wigs often or do wash and Go's. No one can tell me these results are on par with the Doux foam or gels! Them products WORK and deliver results for half the price of these products. Rihanna needs to try again.
