i would say the freezing temps actually help it. humid and warm temperatures would make it more pliable for it to to twist and move which is how it suppose to separate. just my 2 cents. interesting to hear how it worked in your scenario!
Only a test would show us. We've been experiencing the hottest summer on record. It reaches dew point after sunset everyday. I'm also a Viet Vet. From my life's experience, nothing is worse on anything known to man then extreme heat and high humidity. Everything rots and falls apart daily. I would think low humidity would hold better then 90% plus. I agree with Sheryl Howell about curing. I use those stick um things and other types of stick tapes and everyone of them states they need to cure after being exposed to oxygen about 24hrs.
I ordered this tape. It's pretty awesome. Especially after it's cured properly . Question...did ya'll clean the surfaces according to the instructions?? Tape won't work properly if not. Especially when using on wood/boards that are weather worn from the outside elements. Just sayin.
Does heating it with a hair dryer or heat gun change its properties, make it stick better, or speed curing time? Just curious to ask the people who actually used it successfully.
If they clean the area it will work. For example If they would've clean the mold from the wooden colums, it would have worked. Not even Crazy glue will stick to all that mold.
LOL 0:39 It holds a brick, a block, and a bottle full of water but the cardboard sign doesn't stick. That said, I don't think it's realistic to try and hang heavy pictures and bricks and wood, etc. I use it in my RC airplanes to stick electronics down and it works famously. I guess they did embellish the capabilities of it, though.
I have some I got for free; it's great for smaller applications, or get creative with it (great for sealing things I work on). I won;;t be trying to stick bricks or do pull ups on it however
Oh come on, this should have been Fame. They successfully reproduced 100% of the tests shown in the commercial! Properly prepare the surfaces and let it cure and retest!
Not sure what folks are saying about "curing". If it's removable and reusable the "curing" woulsnt make sense. Is it supposed to "re-cure" after removing?....
The sad thing is...legitimate tape like this COULD be made, but companies are so greedy that instead of investing in a quality product, they invest into a cheap product and make quality claims about it that are false. Also, I don't know of any tape or glue in general that will logically hold up when twist. Much less allow something to be stuck back again after twisting it off.
I bought it because it showed you could hang pictures using it and never ruin the wall. Not true it rips the paint right off the all when you try to remove it. I did this so I would not have to paint the walls when I moved. I no have to repair and then paint the walls. Cost me a lot more would have been easier to fix the small hole then the 14 inch strips times 4 sides for everything I hung up.
Just like any other product you see on TV they want to make money , and that's there only purpose . I am glad to see you guy proves this is A failed product .
No lol I was using it in my bathroom to hold a paper towel holder up, it lasted maybe a month before coming loose. However, I have it in my kitchen holding up a house key holder and it's lasted for months..... I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. The key holder has much heavier weight to it. Humidity maybe 🤔
the real question is if the owner of Alien Tape has a valid drivers license
I purchased some last year and happy with the purchase. Cleaning area to be used is key. Also allow the tape to cure before using (about an hour).
Gotta follow directions!!
Instructions: ''Clean both surface prior to application. Make sure to apply enough tape in order to hold the object - Not use in bathroom, stone, tough surface, painted wall or wall paper. Suitable surfaces: Wood, marble/tiles, metal and glass/plastic.''
Honestly I used this tape to Hold my Christmas lights to the brick. It’s been holding for over a month in high winds an freezing temperatures
I think some people may not read and follow instructions - may be where the problem lies
@@jessicar929 And also don't believe the over hyped TV ads. Yes, it will hold a brick, but they never said for how long ;p
Small items will be fine

I can't believe I watched 7 minutes of a video about tape 🤣
😆 🤣 😂
It's not just any tape, it's _alien_ tape ;-)
This is cute, wholesome, fun. Thank you!
I agree with Sheryl Howell about curing. I use those stick um things and other types of stick tapes and everyone of them states they need to cure after being exposed to oxygen about 24hrs.
i race rc cars.. i use the stuff, after it has set for a day or two that stuff sticks.
But if it's supposedly removable and reusable, there CANT be curing involved 🤔
It doesn't take a genius to know this is a scam.
Kind of seems like the tape didn't hold the sign in the commercial to the wall.
Thus, you figured it out.
I ordered this tape. It's pretty awesome. Especially after it's cured properly

Good call, we were saying the same thing!
How do you "cure" it? I'd like to get some
They did the brick wrong 😂

These two are hilarious! 😂
Thank you for real world tests
God bless them
This guy has got to be related to Scotty Kilmer
Ohhh. Now I'll build a 🛸 👽 with that tape
Yes
🙋🏾♂️ I just watched this commercial on AFN Europe yesterday.

I’ll stick with flex seal
Flex Seal is pretty awesome also when directions are followed. Otherwise the end result will be the same as this video.
but flex seal doesn’t come off
@@DG-uj6xr Different applications. The alien tape is supposed to be somewhat removeable. Flex seal is a more permanent solution I guess
I bought something like this on Amazon. Before I knew of this company brand name but it didn't work for the long term
I always prep with alcohol. Now I'm wondering how I'm going to get it off.

Tape
😂😂😂😂😂
really loving fox 2
Just saw this commercial and came STRAIGHT to YT! What a letdown! Let me put my card back in my wallet 😮💨

Nano tape, it works pretty well for certain things.
That wooden post is a piece of crap.
Oh come on, this should have been Fame. They successfully reproduced 100% of the tests shown in the commercial! Properly prepare the surfaces and let it cure and retest!
They knew what they were doing with the brick😂
Calling that tape is like using frog tape for a duc tape job 😂
b4 watching whole vid, i put up my mailbox with this shit, still hanging there 1 month l8ter lmao
I used it to hold down carpet pieces on laminate floors. Works ok.
this was hilarious, thanks rob lmao. also note to self, never buy alien tape
You have to use it correctly. It is amazing tape for putting in and sealing your AC and other things.
Tks for showing me alien tape don't work like they say it does
I love alien tape!
How much?🤔
You sure
Alien tape gets the axe!
Reminds me of museum putty

Did anyone else think that guys head was too big? Looked strange.
When I saw the screenshot on my feed I swore it said flame or shame lol
It’s a shame product

It needs to cure and outdoor wood isnt a fair test

Why does the guy on the right have a superimposed head on? WTF
It works really well if you use it with a stick of butter
bought couple rolls hated it gave the leftover to goodwill alien tape is crap for big jobs

Didn't work but flex tape works like it's super to
