- I think I've come to realize that players using teleport locomotion will not have a fun time only stabbing with a longsword. Enjoy the pokes!

you might want to try a technique where you aim at their belly and then swing up as you're connecting, that seems to work pretty well for me, at least for the armored skeletons

Agreed, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the next weapon they're working on.
@jjbonta I could also see mace or flails. Specifically the flails, would add an interesting addition to the current combat.
@Im_Pretty_Bad they already have blunts that I think are maces, but yeah I'd love to see flails too!

I've seen the regular scorpions get their stingers/tails chopped off while they remain alive (like the zombies when you cut their limbs off) and wonder if you can also do that to the big ones
I doubt it but maybe.
Wish there was a sound effect for a successful stab on longswords and normal swords. I know daggers have one, so why not the others? And maybe some visual effects too
I haven't stabbed with a dagger in quite a bit, so I don't remember the hit sound being different than other strikes. Sounds like a good idea though, I'd recommend that you go put it in the suggestions section of the Discord or upvote the suggestion if it's already there.
I've heard that if you time it right, you can technically resurrect yourself by throwing one on the ground right before you die / think you're about to die. haven't messed around with it enough to know if it works for sure

I did not like the 2-handed swords. The enemies close in so quickly in hand-to-hand range but I just got one that is unblockable, and stabbing is my go-to tactic now. I have not tried it against the big Elite with the sword that kills you instantly. Has anyone a good strategy for long sword in that situation?
Congrats on getting unblockable! I wouldn't say there's a particularly ideal strategy for melee combat against the skeleton knight boss because it's so risky. The most important thing to do is to keep the proper spacing. I don't know exactly how unblockable works against him, but I'm guessing you can hit him anywhere. If you didn't have unblockable then hitting him in the legs is probably the safest, but takes the longest. I think you can hit him in the shoulder, but the head is the ideal spot that I think does more damage. If you're confident, you can try jumping to hit his head to beat him.
