- I'm trying to use the general term for this new weapon, longsword, even though the one I used is called a montante. It's been exciting to use this new weapon and mess around in the new update. Next longsword technique I'll be messing with will be blocking those weapons the imps throw. Enjoy the video!

Great play through. Super helpful even for someone just starting out! Thanks :)
No problem, I'm happy to hear it helps!
i am in love with this game. you sir have earned my sub
It's hard not to love this game. Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for the demonstration. I think that it would be interesting to see how the limitations become more reduced in a group with more enemies in certain situations where you can slice through them while someone else attracts/tanks them. Interesting mechanics so far.
Agreed, I've gotta play some more multiplayer with the longsword!
Why haven’t they brought back the Nintendo power glove for VR… I bet 95% of people have zero idea what that is lol . I bet something like that would work great for VR.
I think the glove technology has to improve and drop to a consumer friendly cost. I have seen some really cool looking prototypes though.
I love your vids, I hope you blow up one day❤️
Thanks, I hope you continue enjoying my videos 😁
Didn't even know there was a seated version lol.
Yep, they do pretty well with accessibility settings.
Something I've found for hitting low objects/critters with the longsword is just using one hand. But honestly, use a normal sword for things like that.
Interesting. I've found poking to work against spiders with the longsword. But yeah, normal swords, ranged weapons, or throwing daggers work well instead.
Wish I could get one that did good damage
Once you get to about level 40 almost every weapon you get will have enough damage to be good. Sometimes I'll still use weapons on the highest difficulty that I found before level 40. Often the perks and your practice are more important than the damage (if it's not too huge of a damage gap).
@@jjbonta I’m at level 52 and all I’m getting on 7 is 130 damage
@@Minedance093 the difficulty tier doesn't improve the weapons you find. Also, I think 130 damage is near the maximum amount. Why don't you consider that good damage?
@@jjbonta my side arms do more they do 140 unless daggers so it would not have a better impact then they are
I'm guessing the maximum damage of the longsword is similar or the same as other high damage weapons. Even if it is a little lower, a 10 damage difference won't affect the majority of interactions.
Great video my dude
Thanks dude.
Hi, do you use the Quest Game Optimizer for this game? If so, is it worth it at all? I play this on my Quest 2 and Quest 3, and can barely tell the difference as is. It looks and runs great on both for being on standalone hardware.
I do not use the Quest Game Optimizer, but I think there are a few in the Discord that have tried it. There are Quest 3 enhancements you can turn on in the settings that make it look amazing in my opinion.
I dont know if you remember me but i am getting back into this game
I remember a couple of your comments. Good to hear you're getting back into it!
Are you using a controller attachment for a two handed sword hilt? I can't find one for the quest 3. I found a couple for the quest 2 but they rely on the controller rings so they don't work with the quest 3. I've been searching exhaustively. If I can't find one I may end up designing and 3D printing one.
I don't have a controller attachment for the two hand sword, but let me know if you find something that works well!
HOW IS THIS GUY GOOD WITHOUT EDITING
Lol idk and I have no clue why this video has particularly more views than my other videos, but check out my review video. It's got plenty of editing.
@@jjbonta idk why ether but I'll check out the vid : )
I can finally level up past 50
Yup, more damage and cooler weapon styles come with the higher level too.
Also this is an amazing game
Sure is.
I know 😎
Tried a longsword and had some problems wielding it. My top hand controller keeps hitting buttons / joystick on the bottom hand controller. Have you had issues like this?
Maybe a few times, but haven't noticed it above other problems. Are you using Quest 3 controllers?
@@jjbonta Thanks for the reply. I actually use Quest Pro controllers (I find the tracking alot better than stock Quest controllers).
Ah nice. I doubt those are much different in size than the Quest 3 controllers. I was thinking that maybe you had Quest 2 controllers which are a little more bulky potentially cause that problem. I use the 3 controllers and maybe someday the pro controllers.
Does the stab exo perk work with the great sword?
I haven't tested it out, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
The gameplay with the longswords feels super clunky, imo. It gets stuck, the additional range doesn't matter that much, knocked down enemies are immune to damage... I don't really see a reason to use it over onehanded weapons.
I agree with you for the most part. However, I think it might be much better with the unblockable perk. I still can't say for sure though because I still don't have one with unblockable 🙃
What do you think the best element type for weapon is?
I'd say the strongest is fire because I think it deals extra damage and knocks down enemies. Ice is best against regular enemies, but doesn't work against bosses or ice enemies. Poison, is kind of like a worse version of ice.
Ok thank you
I’m about to buy and get into this game , anyone wanna become friends n help a dude out 😊?
Join the DoE Discord. There are plenty of people there. Feel free to friend me @BurntPan on Meta and we can play if our times line up.
