Lovely explanations :D For me, corduroy... I remember vividly telling myself at 15 that I would never get anything corduroy, ever again, when I saw a (for me then ugglyyy) lavender corduroy skirt. Lo and behold, almost 15 years later, I love all my corduroy pants very much. I think they're just so chill and cool. And I love lavender now, too. I have kept a few pairs of skinny jeans, and every now and then, they're honestly quite practical. Sometimes an outfit needs skinny jeans, in my opinion. Maybe that makes the outfit not trendy, idk :D So yeah, I keep a lot of stuff because I suspect it will come in perfectly for an outfit (or back in style). I could not purge like you do!

😂 Corduroy we wear at 1968 - 1971/72...super Skinny-fit and a bit to short for to wearing Boots! 😂🤗❣️ And YESSS, lavender, rosé, light lilac, that have had been our Colors, together with light-green an the more "Natural" Colors! 😂🤗
don't let that minimalist get you down you look great in those photos fashionable and elegant and you still look great.

All good points on how our tastes change as we get older. I loved Birkenstocks and owned a pair but my husband thought they were fugly and he is really picky about shoes for some reason. 🧐😂 I used to torture myself and wear high heels in my teens and twenties and now my feet just say no! Comfort is key for all of my footwear and clothing. Norm core is totally me but I still wear skinny jeans. I also own a couple pairs of mom jeans. The fashion trends I hate most now are from the early to mid 2000s. Like low rise jeans and the layered fitted tops with a belt and a chunky necklace. I still like mid century modern but I also really like the Nordic minimalist home decor vibe. Basically, whatever model homes have for staging furnishings! Lol What a great video topic Teresa!
we have very similar tastes! I don't mind the cargo pants/Y2K comeback so long as they're not too wide, but I can't with the low rise. I never even wore low rise in the actual early '00 and always thought it was a thing reserved for music videos.
@@teresachaotic.corner Yes! I am still all for the cargo pants. I have several pairs in my wardrobe. I also owned cargo pants in highschool because that was a thing. My first pair ever was in the 9th grade 1997.
