Marie Antoinette is a serious contender for my favorite movie of all time. The soundtrack was GENIUS, imo.. It made you feel the freshness of how life would have felt for the characters. Historical dramas don't usually capture how it feels to be young and cool, but of course that It Girl life would have been the same for them as all such girls of the centuries.
THIS👆 Bottling up the feeling of how it feels to be young & rebellious while living under a magnifying glass. I also love how Sofia Coppola captures the complete and utter isolation of being a girl, a subtext she's employed through all her movies but especially this one.
@@teresachaotic.corner Yes. It was sooo good. After seeing it I read a ton of Marie Antoinette biographies and felt even more like she had done really well capturing it.
First video of yours i saw was about the importance of physical media. And the second video i see is this one. This is definitely the channel for me 👌👍
Girl I am the same way!!! I was born an 80 year old white woman!!! lol Ok I am white - but I was born old! Give me a historical movie with costumes and I am there!!! Have you seen Orlando with Tilda Swinton? There is the most gorgeous 18th century dress. Omg - it’s perfection. And the mini series John Adam gets real with bad teeth. As John Adam and Thomas Jefferson get older - their teeth are GREEN!!! Highly recommend!!!!!
Orlando has been darting in and out of my radar. Now I definitely need to put it on my watchlist! And I'm very happy there's another 80 yr old woman out there who share my interests in historical costume dramas 🤣 I could see us in our spectacles and bonnets, cross stitching and gossiping around the hearth ❤️
