So I created one a few days ago but the various settings are a mystery to me, so your video was a "god sent" one. I have already recorded my first video but I haven't uploaded it yet; I'm in the process of editing it, which is another thing I need to learn. I have subscribed and liked this video. Anyway, from one "born-again" Christian to another: "thank you brother!"

Good question and yes you can. Click on your profile pic (upper right). Go to settings. Click on Advanced settings. From there you should see more info.

Hello from BC Canada! I started YT a few years ago and was doing pretty good... - and then 4 years ago I got so unmotivated - because of world events and how relationships were strained - and it really made me shrink from the world. I didn't want to talk about it, and I guess I had to process things on my own. The strife was a fantastic vehicle to a stronger me; I got my head back on straight and at almost 61, I am going to re-start (and I have been watching videos and channels like yours to get back to it.) I have no intention of making money, just connections and bringing positive vibes with entertainment to others as we age. Looks like you're doing great; thanks for the inspiration!

Kevin, I’ve been following Sean Cannell for years and I just found you last week. One of my biggest questions you sort of just answered -and I’m only halfway through this video to be honest… I always want to create content that points back to the RUclipsrs that have taught me and I wondered, how do I find that in all of the information on the RUclips creators dashboard? I’ve been wading through their pages and pages and pages of policies for days and I haven’t been able to find it. Maybe I just missed it. Like you just mentioned it might be 60 seconds of a clip rather than a download how would you, put 60 seconds of your video into my video referring to you if I don’t download it…? Thk You for your patience and teaching so clearly. God bless you.
Glad to have you hear. Sean is a great dude! It sounds like you're wanting to share actual videos from other creators? Thats doable but tricky. You could always just share your screen and show their channel. You could also list them in the descriptions too. And...what you're doing now. Hop on one of their videos and just tell them.

I understand the purpose of blocking links, that makes very good sense, but writing down specific words you want blocked? What is the purpose of that? Will youtube give you a strike if someone makes a comment their algorithm doesn't like? What is the benefit? I understand blocking spammers and bots, but not so much the policing of legal speech.
There are words I don't use nor want on my channel.

So I have this “channel”. I’ve just never done a video. I would like to start BUT… I’m 2 minutes in and I don’t have anything on my screen that says dashboard, no little icon for create. I basically can’t find any of the stuff you’re trying to show me. Perhaps I’m just that tech ignorant, I’m over 40. Maybe this is beyond my grasp.

Logos for most of RUclips or IG is aspect ratio 1:1 I have 3 logos I'm trying to decide between. One is dark with gold Northstar but the other is white vector with navy blue and pastel blue. I will change to a different channel name. Ive been building up scripts and ideas. Its only now since AI that i think its truly possible to have a faceless channel. Still TBD. Eventually I'd want my face on the channel for connection and engagement. Question ❓ Do you think an Insta360 X4 would be better than a smartphone? Clearly not necessary if faceless channel but originally i was going to do State Parks and film with and regularly upload. In addition?? What video editing software do you use?
Haven't used the Insta. I do have (and love) the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Did a few videos on the channel about it. Having said that, ain't nothing wrong with a phone. Sometimes its better than other gear too.
For editing, I use Final Cut Pro

RUclips says no. You do have to indicate how much you used it or to what extent when you upload. It can though be a crutch for too many to prevents them from using their God-given talents. Just saying.

Kevin, how closely tied to Gmail are you if you start a RUclips channel. I have had AOL for over 20 years (yes, I am that old). Can I "sign-in" with Gmail but have a unique AOL email. RUclips took almost $500 from my bank account without my permission, and I am sure the root of the situation is my Sunday Night Football account that I have worked hard to not be connected to Gmail. - Roddie

Nope. You can have multiple RUclips channels with the same email address.

I wouldn't start a new channel with the same content, if that's what you mean. You CAN create playlists from another channel and share to a different channel but you don't get those views.

You don't want to publicize that email since it's a fast way to get your channel hacked. If you share an email anywhere, make it a different email.
