    For some reason I figured I wouldn't be able to save for retirement, so my whole adult life, I never bought new cars, and kept my rent low. Currently have pretty inexpensive mortgage payments, and that's my only debt.
    Will retire at 62, and I can afford to live on the 2K social security I'll qualify for. But will continue working on chrome extension ideas, and to create premium versions to see if I can supplement the SS.
    ( don't you have a main youtube channel where you have 100's of thousands of subs? )

    I've been thinking of learning web development, but I'm already 42 this year.

      Still young. You can get your foot in the door in say 6 months with part time learning. You can fully establish yourself as as a junior developer within 12 months. The first 3-4 years of the game is where you see big rise in earnings. If you freelance, you can cut the time down a lot. Depends on your focus.

    One of your very best videos.
    Always good to get periodical reminders of what the entrepreneurial road can look like if you can manage to stick at it.
    Maybe something you can talk more about are the reinventions along the way?
    Like to me… it seems I never get there, and it really took some coming to terms with that and seeing that in a really positive way.
    On the other hand, you have to craft something and stick at it for a while if you're going to make anything… and yet, it will likely never be permanent; like there's never just that 'one thing' on this journey, right - it's a fallacy?

    Do you think getting a cpa license is a high value skill?

      Accounting is a valuable skill. No doubt. My bill to my accounting firm is a strong indicator of that!

    I’m a skilled web developer, to me the freelancing market is intimidating, how would you start out with freelancing, something like upwork or fiver? Contact local businesses whose websites could use a revamp?

    • @Meritumas
      @Meritumas 6 месяцев назад

      forget upwork of fiver unless you want to work for 5USD/hr .... ok if you live outside Europe/US

    Hi Uncle Stef. Are the Studio Web courses up-to-date? Do you teach how to build website for clients?

      Yes. I update them when they need to be updated. You will learn much more than you'd think possible in a short time. Just give it a go.

    Great advice, Uncle Stef! Please consider getting a reusable coffee cup to reduce the waste produced by disposable cups ☕️

      My carbon footprint is tiny compared to most people I know. Penny-wise, pound-foolish comes to mind. So that means I concern myself with the big things. For example, for every drive in a car, I will be on my bike 10x ... mostly to get around the city. I bought furniture that last decades, instead of a few years. I've cut weight so that I am under 20% body fat so that means I eat much less (less carbon) and will likely need far less medical care since 80% of people are in the healthcare system due to metabolic disorder ... which means they eat too much and don't exercise enough. Imagine if the population got in shape, and that would cut medical needs by 80% ... the health care overall would be sailing, and since there would be a small percentage of the current health care load, think how that would impact the use of carbon ... huge! Hope that makes sense?👍
