I've watched this so many times and this is the first time I noticed the trombone player dropping his plunger near the beginning! he dealt with it very smoothly
That was a piece of perfection, especially the tuba player. I bet he was worn out after all that puckering, and a lot of air flow! The lower the note, the more air has to flow thru the horn. High pitch doesn't use THAT much air per note, but is much harder to squeeze those higher notes out your lip position, (embosure) I know, I can't spell that word, but you guys know what I'm attempting to say. Seems like this SHOULD be really difficult to play. They made it look effortless!
It’s not that difficult at face value, but it’s the added style that makes it so difficult.
Really wondering how the tuba player built up his breathing.. Very impressive! The entire group sounds GREAT!
As a tuba player you can do simple breathing exercises at home or you can run and then play that is what works for me
