Enjoyed watching. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for following along too. Cheers. Warren
Thanks for sharing another of your superb pub tours. You ended up in two of my favourite pubs of the area in The Lyric and the Ship and you also ended up on a high with the ales. Timothy Taylor's Landlord, McMullens Country, Sussex Best and the Fuller's best ale by far, the ESB. I meet up with an old work colleague (and we are both old) a couple of times a year and your 2 video's have given me a bit of a clue as to our itinerary. We like a stylish interior as well as a good ale. Keep up the brilliant work...I'll look at you rail related videos next.
Hey thank you (again, as you have commented on other videos recently) about your ideas and feedback here. I had a quick check in some pubs in the Putney area recently (no drinking time, just a quick walkabout to see what's in the area) and some of these had TT Landlord on tap. Sussex Best is fine. I have a few other areas in mind for "tours" but it is hard to find dates with my mate Neil for doing them. And he takes the lead for the itinerary as well.
If you have some ideas to share about areas or some target pubs please do let me know - either by comment here or by email via my "About" page. Cheers, Warren :)
A very successful second day in Soho with my friend Warren. We now have a workable list of “our” kind of pubs we can now do in one day and enjoy fine ales and food - great area with bags of character but not every pub suits all and we now know what is up our alley! Cheers Warren!!
We did well ticking off more from your rather long list. But there are more and we should find them :) Cheers mate, Warren
The trough around the floor is for the drunks when they fall down to keep drinking ... lol. My pick Warren is for the Wheatsheaf .. beautiful decor in the form of yesteryear but quite elegant and a great atmosphere. Notice you and Neil haven't found the Legless bar yet .. quite an achievement I'd say. Great enjoyable Pub Crawl my friend. Bushyboy Oz
The video compresses time rather a lot! We do have a few beers but spread out over many hours as well as some meals along the way. The train is a safe option to get home though. All the best for 2023 there mate, cheers, Warren :)
These pub tours are fantastic! Keep it up !
I have another one already videoed from a couple of months ago, need to finish that and get that out to share. Thanks for tagging along and the encouragement, cheers! Warren
cool...Smiths old brewery bitter is a fave of mine....looks a good day out
A pint of Smiths Old Brewery Bitter is a good drop for sure! Indeed so, we had another most enjoyable wander around London. Cheers mate and all the best for 2023 :) Warren
Old brewery bitter on cask is superior to keg
I'd just accompanied the two of you, pals. Strolling through SoHo, tasting and sharing. Too bad I still live in shitty Milan! When i was in my 20s, I've been used spending several nights over there. At the epoch, the 1990s, (could be odd asserting that!), tourism appeared to me more easygoing and less intrusive. Kinda well-mannered at all. No trash was part of the local scene. Last but not least, maybe I was too young and careless in order to appreciate my nightlife touring...
You are most welcome to join us during these video tours. Thanks for your support and encouragement. Cheers, Warren :)
Jeffrey Bernard who had a cult like following as a contributor to The Spectator basically lived at The Coach and Horses... The set of Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell recreated it's interior and the lead was played by Peter O'Toole.
Fascinating history detail there, thank you. Cheers, Warren :)
If the glasses are plastic I’m walking straight out!
I dislike plastic glasses too! Drinking outside they are the only option sometimes though. Thanks for tagging along with us. Cheers! 🤠
Whats with the plastic glassess?
pubs give out the plastic glasses if they are taken outside, I think it is an insurance or licensing thing. Not the same but adequate! Cheers :)
Looks like pride week is in full flow.
We didn't know the event was on but it was all fine, added to the fun and spirits around the place. Cheers, Warren :)
The first 2 pubs were using plastic glasses for those drinking inside, that would have me jogging on I'm afraid. Lemonade in a plastic cup yes but not the Lords own juice of the barley..
We do sometimes leave a pub due to plastic glasses but if the beer and location make up for it then it’s a willing compromise. Thank you for following along. Cheers. Warren 🤠
Broadside
Adnams Broadside is a good beer! :)
What a bad day you picked
We hadn’t realised there were other things going on. Yep, should have checked. Thank you for following along. Cheers. Warren. 🍺
First Pub. Beer in Plastic! No way.
Plastic glasses just not good, agreed, but we didn’t want to just leave so had to go with it. Cheers. Warren. 🤠
It's not your fault but all the 🌈 activism ruined this for me.
Yeah, I hadn't planed it that way at all. Thanks for watching and following along anyway. Cheers, Warren :)
Plastic glasses 🙄🙄
Yeah, sometimes substandard glasses are part of the deal. Not ideal though.
