Right on! What a great central location there. I bet some of the pubs have changed a lot since your time there, and others have not changed at all. Cheers, Warren :)
Some of these pubs are lovely buildings with historic elements inside. But too few if them have anything particularly interesting on the bar. Pubs outside of central London seem to have much better choices.
Agree with that! We will be returning to Hampstead soon hopefully, and I have plans for more during the year. Thanks for following along with us. Cheers, Warren :)
Having worked in London for over 30 years and now long retired, your video reminds me of after work drinks in over crowded noisy pubs...I could not contemplate it now. How different we are in our preference for Real Ales. Personally I do not like Doom Bar, Badger beers or Sam Smiths (is it a real ale or keg). London Pride is nothing like the fantastic ale it used to be, quantity rather than quality springs to mind. Interestingly, you ended up at The Dog and Duck which is the best pub on your route and does a lovely lunch. I also used to like The Clachan. Looking forward to Part 2. Cheers.
In the very old days pubs used to have a smoke haze around the ceiling and yellow paint from smokers. I used to really like the Badger Tanglefoot but not had it very often recently. Sam Smiths is in a pressure keg, they almost all are I think. I prefer the ones we pick rather than the more popular IPA beers. But you are right, Pride is less good than it used to be. I had a Fullers ESB over the weekend and that was good :) Thanks for your comment and support. Cheers, Warren :)
Well spotted! But it may not have been “on” at the time. Neil may have kept a note of that. In the pub on Friday last week I was drinking TT Landlord. A nice drop! Thanks for your comment and watch. Cheers. Warren 🤠
Im a Lancastrian, and agree about Sam Smiths. Bloody awful beers. We were down in London recently doing a few famous pubs and called in The John Snow (wife is a history teacher so wanted to see where the clean water pump was installed. John Snow was the first to link Cholera and dirty water, as opposed to his namesake who slept with his Aunt). I was quite disappointed Ye Old Cheshire Cheese was a Sam Smiths. Really interesting video though, love a bit of Doom Bar.
Hey Lee thanks for watching my video. I do offer a mix of content and I am sure not everyone likes watching all the topics. Thank you also for commenting. Cheers. Warren 🤠
Oh wow! Well spotted! Not an intentional inclusion at all. Very impressed you spotted that. I hadn’t, and it’s my edit. I wonder, as you say, if anyone else noticed. Cheers. Warren 😊
I have another video to schedule soon, already filmed a couple of months ago. And we have another date lined up in a couple of months time for another meetup in London. We have not fixed the area though! Cheers, Warren
More on the quality of beer please. London pride is solid but do they keep the beer well? If not then that can spoil any beer. S smith always follows very nice looking pubs, crap beer. Without fail.
Ahh good tip for me, I will try. The thing is I get slated by some folk who like certain types of beer and not others and if I disagree with them I quite often get comments saying so. I agree with you about the SamS beers, but not everyone does. Thank you for following along with us on this tour, Cheers, Warren :)
Absolutely agree. In the description notes I had put a note saying the list will follow but that was months ago. I will go back and edit the notes. I think the other similar videos have more details but I will check. I’m away just now will fix that when I can. Very much appreciate the feedback. Thank you.
That is a fair point you have! Thank you for commenting. Well, I have already filmed my next pub tour video so can't balance the comments in that one but I have another one booked in with Neil in August and I will make sure I am more fair with the Sam Smiths beer. Let's see where we get to - no location yet selected! Cheers, and thanks for your comment :) Warren
Thank you for your feedback. Sometimes the volume of the music is louder than I mean it to be but also sometimes I need to add louder music to mask/cover up music playing in the location - to avoid copyright issues. Did you mean generally or at any particular time? I will replay the video and think again about your feedback. There is always room for improvement - live and learn. Cheers, Warren :)
Worked in ec1 for ten years. Now in Canada. Great nostalgia and vicarious hangover
Right on! What a great central location there. I bet some of the pubs have changed a lot since your time there, and others have not changed at all. Cheers, Warren :)

We do have a few, spread out during the day of course :) Cheers, Warren
Can’t wait for part 2 guys, awesome .👍
Part 2 is out there now. Take a look at the Pub tour playlist on the channel. Cheers, Warren :)

Our phrase is ‘average’ beer but the pubs are almost always great places to visit. Thanks for tagging along with us. Cheers! Warren
You think Sam Smith beers awful ,but give me a break domm bar is truly disgusting macro brewed beer,at least Sam Smith don't brew with chemicals etc

We do have a laugh along the way. More planned. Any other areas you can suggest for us to explore? Cheers 🤠
@@Linleyshi guys from Swansea ,wales , love for you to do a Christmas video tour around the old pubs in London , just saying . Many thanks , Dean 🙏
Cheers, Warren :)
Great video! 🍻
Thank you, we enjoyed ourselves. Other Pub Tours are planned! Cheers, Warren :)
Anyone else notice that around the 6min mark they backing track was the US national anthem.
Oh wow! Well spotted! Not an intentional inclusion at all. Very impressed you spotted that. I hadn’t, and it’s my edit. I wonder, as you say, if anyone else noticed. Cheers. Warren 😊
Thanks. I'm surprised no-one else has. But oh well.
You guys planning other pub crawls? This is great fun to watch !

I haven't seen all the video but 1 fault is no road names were mentioned of where the pubs actually are.
Absolutely agree. In the description notes I had put a note saying the list will follow but that was months ago. I will go back and edit the notes. I think the other similar videos have more details but I will check. I’m away just now will fix that when I can. Very much appreciate the feedback. Thank you.
Carefully planned day and unfinished as per plans so must return!
There are loads more pubs to explore and enjoy a pint in mate. Let's get to it then! Yeah :) Warren
You don't rate Sam Smith's? It's because you choose a SS pub that didn't serve OBB on hand pump. Any Ale drinkers knows this is a must.
Hey yes, you are right. But hardly ever find OBB on hand pulled pumps. Cheers Warren. 🤠
Doooooom Bar and LP then criticize Sam Smiths!

The Chandos (Trafalgar Sq) or The Duke of York (Victoria) two of the best SS pubs in town, or the Princes Louise (High Holborn)@@Linleys
Ahh thank you, just catching up with some older replies. Cheers, Warren :)
Would be better without the annoying background music.
