Great set-up!! I've seen gravity-fed set-ups in the attic that don't use a pump. The heat of the house in the winter rises so the water doesn't freeze. A hose was run down from the water barrel to the sink faucet in the kitchen and another hose attached to the main hose went into the bathroom for shower and bathroom sink. The water that went to the bathroom sink drained into the toilet. So the toilet was using water that had already been used from the bathroom sink. It was impressive for a set-up without electricity or pump. What I thought was really nice is that the barrel was set up off the surface of the scaffolding so a camping heater could be used under the side of the barrel to heat the water when someone wanted a shower. Of course you couldn't take a shower right away; you had to wait until the water was warm enough to shower, but if you plan it right, you could get a nice warm shower without much problem.

Thats awesome. That pressure is sufficient 👍👍

The kitchen one runs better because it's a lot lower than the tank. :)

You could add a 12volt motorhome pump inside for better pressure, lotsa room for upgrades on your system

For me the flow is perfect for water conservation. And the zero noise is nice. Wife couldn’t wash her hair with that pressure though!

Why not collect rain water ?
All that weight is not good for the car.

love the natural siding on your place..i know milage varies, but how long does the 55 gal tank last your family normally with average use? m thinking of doing something very similar..

Sorry I missed the comment! Water lasts a couple months, it’s a second home for us. Biggest issue is freezing, otherwise I’d do a bigger 100 gallon water tower outside.

@@mirandak3273at my home I fill up one drum in my car and drive it up to the cabin then use the pump to transfer water.
