Thanks for this awesome video. Your lane splitting and speed courage is extraordinary btw. 145MPH! I bought my current 2018 K1600 GT after test riding a 2012 model-fell in love with that incredible engine power and sold my RT. When my new GT came in I left the dealership and returned 20 minutes later, convinced there was something very wrong with it. Just terrible throttle response. When I was told there was nothing wrong the bike, and the problems were due to Euro-emissions requirements, I decided to return it. Then I heard about Bren Tuning and sent in my ECU (when they used to offer that service). I was simply amazed, the bike was running the way it was designed to, best money I ever spent on a bike. It’s now a fire breathing wonderbike, and I will definitely do it again on my next K1600. Thanks Bren for a great product. And yes, it’s a touring bike-a sport touring bike in my book.
I just ordered this tune for my 21 k1600b. The biggest reason for me wanting it was the terrible throttle lag. The extra power is an added bonus and I can't wait to tune mine.
I own this bike. Used to have 550lb bike. This one is 750. It's the weight that makes you stall in the beginning period. If you want the big heavy 6 cylinder and all the great quiet highway comforts dont expect a takeoff like a lightweight racer off the line. More gas easy off clutch and the rest is wonderful on this bike. Your just under the weight of a Harley roadglide or streetglide. Try taking off quick with those. It's easy to forget but that's the biggest thing to get used to on the bmw 1600
I was curious how this stock K1600GT would do against the flashed Aprilia RS660 you tested... To my surprise, the K1600GT beat the flashed RS660 in every acceleration category! It was closer down low, but the faster the two bikes went, the more the stock K1600GT pulled away from the flashed RS660. I love that I can compare the two because of your videos! 😎👍
I don't know how the new models with the large TFT work (as opposed to the older models like my 2018 with traditional gauges), but I am able to set my suspension to "rider with luggage" or "rider with passenger", with each successive setting raising the suspension slightly. This has the effect of giving a little more ground clearance for increased lean angles before parts start touching down.
Would the tune make a quantifiable difference on a 2014 GTL? I think you guys said it takes the post 2018 models and gets rid of sluggish response from the Euro emissions restrictions to make it perform like a pre 2018 - like my 2014. If that’s all, then no sense in buying the tune. If it does make a difference, what improvements does it make?
I did the stage 1 on my 14 exclusive and it pretty much polished up the entire rpm band fans come on sooner and runs cooler I say it works great, do as you wish it be your coin.
They are top-heavy. I've got one, purchased new and now have 51k miles. With this bike you need to be cautious at low speeds, pulling in/out of parking lots etc. You need that 'space' below for ripping curves. One of my ridding buddies has a street glide. He loves ripping too.....and i can hear him scrapping away behind me. This bike is awesome.
@@robb8773 Both are great bikes, you can't go wrong with either one. I have never ridden a wing but my observation is that the beemers are more of a sport touring bike. If you want a bike that can carve up twisties and give you a proper touring experience, I think the beemer has it. I've done three 4-5k mile rides out west and it's like a dream. Again, I've never ridden the wing but have a lot of respect for the bike. As far as a straight touring bike, you might not be able to do better.
146 HP 122 TQ at the wheel is fast n fun on a Sports Tour. No it’s not big bore Sport bike numbers but it’s so much more enjoyable for everything off the race track. I have the other end of the spectrum as far as motor. It’s a 19 Harley Sport Glide which is in the softail line & includes small fairing n bags. Maybe a little more of a muscle cruiser if you will. Anyway 114 motor recently cammed n tuned. 135hp 134tq. So not as fun at that last 10% of the throttle in comparison to the your tuned k1600 but so much fun effortless immediate grunt in the first 90% of throttle. Certainly the rest of the bike is crude by comparison but like a 60s basic muscle rag top it has its own charm. Wish I could have a stable of bikes to choose from for any given day. Thanks for the review tune & dyno .

@@BT_Moto My concern is with the B model, looks like the test bike on your website was a 2018 BGA and shows 18 hp increase, just wondering if I would get the same on my 2022 B?
I have a 2020 K1600B. I run stage two all the time and run it extremely hard almost every time I take it out. It doesn’t cut the wind like a sport bike but when the conditions are right, it’s nothing to hit 165mph. It’s the best bike and tune combination I have owned to date.
Ride-ability BT improvements are huge. Once warranty drops off I’ll definitely be getting your products on my S1KRR. Only had it a few months and the factory already delivered the timing chain recall so who knows what the future is. Thought that issue was adventure model specific but apparently not. Certainly has the constant surge at highway cruise speeds with and W/O cruise engaged. But full Akrapovic Titanium Evolution exhaust has helped quite a bit w/o flash yet. Except the permanent hearing loss that neighbors complain about. I hadn’t noticed the db increase myself 🤷♂️ Supposedly something like 108.9db @ 8.6k rpm 😂
If you’re worried about warranty, it can be voided for the exhaust system you installed more than a flash. The exhaust will lean the bike out (not enough fuel). The BT flasher can put your bike back to stock at anytime when you visit the dealer. I wouldn’t worry about warranty issues from it.
Not a touring bike!? It been a touring bike in Europe since the beginning. What I heard is the Bagger and GrandAmerica who is limited. Not sell that well in EU.
@M.F.M. for me a tourinng bike has the top case and better wind protection like a harley electraglide ultra or an indian pursuit...europe i guess its considered a touring bike but not here in the states
@@don-tj7su Hate to break it to you, but the K1600GTL comes with a top case standard. But it's fully removable as in this video. Also has an electric windscreen, much more wind protection than an Ultra. But I get it, your definition of a touring bike is one that has 80 hp vs. one that has 160 hp. Got it.

I have a 2018 K1600B and it is rated at 160 HP. When did BMW steal 30 HP because you said the 22 has 130 HP.
The website shows 19hp gain on the dyno, looks like hardly any gain on the dyno in this video, what’s going on there?
Depends on the model. We are updating that page with new dyno sheets
@@BT_Moto so is the dyno correct in this video for a 2022 K bike, lines didn’t appear to move much at all all the way through.

That bike is only missing two things. A Remus exhaust and my ass on the seat
I love the blue color and the GTL I'm not to interested in the panniers, etc. I just want to slay a few Harleys
The flash voids the warranty?
Flash it back if you have to leave it in to bmw dealer. Easy.
It could, all they have to do is look at the tables stored in the ecu. If they want to see it they can.
Lane filtering (splitting) is fine, but illegal and rather dumb at some of the speeds you are doing it.
BEST TSEB
